- Running a Mine Site is a full time job.. that's why we only do it on Saturdays. I met Paul down at the Medical Centre and he indicated to me he had some rock truck experience, as well as experience on a dozer and rock crusher. I wasn't sure .. but glad I took the chance. Although he is a quiet fellow, he certainly held his own on the mine-site today. You never know who you are going to meet! They may even turn out to be a world champion RC rock climber.
Rookie and Sluice battled it out for Site Foreman today.. and with a lot of hustle - we were able to see some decent pay for our efforts. Of course our antics were full of drama, a few incidents on the mine site, and of course a whole lot of machines, moving a large amount of pay dirt. Its really quite a site!
Excavators, Rock Trucks, Bulldozers, Trommels, Trailers, Sluice Boxes, and thankfully we have a new mining concentration table from www.911metallurgist.com. It has made recovering our gold SO MUCH EASIER!
And for those of you who don't know...
"TH-cam Gold" is a 100% #Canadian #Parody of the popular Gold Shows we see on TV such as #goldrush, yukon gold and others.. Yes, we are mining real gold.. and yes, we are full grown men using tiny machines to mine the gold.
There is irony in all of what you see.. and of course.. is most of this show is all choreographed. THiS IS THE INTERNET.. Do not believe everything you see..! haha..
Most everything is staged, such as scenarios, acting out our characters, comedy.. etc.. In fact, we are not even working for efficiency, as we are a group of hobbyists who are more interested in entertaining our audience.. than "actually getting gold". Being an RC show, we use as many RC's as possible to achieve this. Again, all we are doing is goofing off for a good Saturday of fun. Many folks ask us what our wives think.. Well, I suggest you watch more of our channel so you can meet our families..
A few of the things that are not staged is our friendship, the laughter, camaraderie, and of course.. THE GOLD! (Yes, it's real pay dirt). The true Gold is the experience we get as friends, what we hope the viewers get watching a group of goofballs entertain them with some very cool toys. One mans hobby, is another's entertainment on TH-cam!

Never seen a quarry where so much work takes place. Usually it's all risk assessments, watching safety videos and ass covering. Oh, and my favourite, leaving as many poo tasks for the cross-shift.

I'm no expert on gold mining but I watch a lot. Usually the big guys dont like to run their wash plants while not feeding pay, the water washes the gold out of your mats. This is why I think YTG keeps finding so much goodness in the tailings, because the plants are most of the time flowing water without steady pay.
Great show love the one on one interview with the camera. Another great thing is this is the only rc show that ppl talk and show how much fun this hobby is

Did you noticed that smile? Doesn't matter it's your first day on TH-camGOLD, such as for Paul, or you are there since day one. As soon as you get a remote in your hands you get a smile on your face! Too bad this is a serious show about gold and not a passionate show about having fun with friends, 'cause that would be appropriate ;).

At 13:20 you are using an excavator to load a hopper with pay while a loader sits behind it doing nothing. The excavator should be "excavating" pay while the loader "Loads" ( Thus the names ) Also, - Ray Charles could see you need to have more dump trucks working, pay the kid a quarter to drive one ( he's probably better than rookie ). Seriously I LOVE TH-cam Gold. Best show ever thanks guys.

That feed ramp for loader could be bit higher, slightly wider and longer so it would be easier to dump in to the hopper. I think Paul has been smoothest dump truck operator so far. He made that thing glide.
The stuff i enjoy about shows like this is that I don’t watch for a while and I can watch all the episodes in a day

I had a thought for yall. Up on the loader site, yall got the mats to keep from losin pay and/or mixin in dirt, which is a really good idea. Wat about puttin up a back wall? Maybe one in the back n one on the side? Thatd give the loader man somethin to scoop against wen the pay gets a lil low

Just a heads up guys, anytime water is running thru the wash-plant with no pay-dirt as well... gold will be washed out of the sluice. With nothing else for the water to interact with it slowly moves the gold down and out so the minute the dirt stops so does the water

West Virginia surface miner here. Berms on the edge of the road are to be half the size of the axel of the biggest vehicle traveling the road. A small dirt berm, or some gravel. Just so you don’t lose another loader!
