Another great video Jeff. I only had to use a mortar and pestle for about 30 seconds before I decided I had to have a real crusher. I’ve never never used one of those K&M crushers but the Rc46 is really nice.
Great education, especially for Greenhorns ! Love that mill you built too ! Was this sample from one of your recent mine explorations ? Thanks for sharing Brother. We smashed that LIKE button real hard on this one !!🤠⛏️⚒️👍👍👍
I use an iron mortar and a Bosch impact hammer drill with a bushing? bit to crush hard rock . I'm in for only about $150, and it's a lot faster than by hand and reduces the rock real fine. One caveat, the bushing bit has brazed on teeth and when you use it some of that brazing wears off and looks like the big bonanza. If someone would manufacture a crusher bit without brazing it would be nice. I have seen them for air hammers.
Ha, I was #1000 to like this video! I love learning from the Headmaster Jeff! I would love to see more giveaways that are just random picked. We all need more chances at the Shiny!!!
One thing you always want to remember on any mill is to always check your discharge screen Some of your gold could flatten out and get smashed into the screen (like when you smash that like button) and adhere to it. Cleaning it after every run will always give you your best results. I've known people that cross contaminated their samples by forgetting to do this. We ran a ton of ore from the Ruth and only got 3.68 ozs. when the assay showed 7; guess where the rest of the gold was "hanging out".Love your mill Jeff, looks like it'll do a sweet job of getting that gold out. Heavy pans y'all!

I still use a motar and pestal i make my own motar and pestal out of steel. I have a small one to use in the field to a bigger one in the shop. i use old drill steel as the pestal. I crush it to a powder and also use a 20 mesh then pan it down. been doing it this way for years it takes time to go through a 5gal bucket of ore but its all good maybe some day i will get a crusher. Wonderful video Jeff

On your vacuum bucket, you may consider putting the input line at an angle on the side to create circulation. This will create a tornado type circulation whose centrifugal force will keep the heavier rock dust material circulating on the side, with the exhaust in the center top pulling out the air with much less dust and rock. As it is right now I see the exhaust on the side where the rock dust will tend to be when circulation begins. Just a thought from somebody without a clue.
