Such a beautiful moment when you get to the rooftop and see green flares lighting the skies on all the nearby buildings. Your squad isn't the only one left. Dozens of other squads went through hell taking back the capitol and they're all still ready to push the enemy back, even after all that.

You’re racing against the clock to save your life and the lives of your squad and what’s left of your country’s capital while killing those who you are defending your country from.

The music in this game was so damn good. Hans Zimmer was such a good composer for this game. The moment when the guy infront of you pops two flares and you run up after him with the music playing gives me chills every time.

Activision just credits Hans with everything because he's a big name and will sell soundtrack copies :( Give credit to my guy Lorne, he made all the music you remember and love from this one.
It's unfortunate that they couldn't sync the soundtracks like they did with the original game; the ending track starts as soon as you see that one ranger who blows up the wall.
I prefer the way it is in the new version, the epic dramatic music still playing as the marine stumbles and activates the green flares whilst hearing "30 seconds to weapons release." gives me chills, whereas the original starts playing the more relaxed music before the airstrike has even been aborted
After all these years and playing the original campaign again, I never realized that when you sprint to the roof at the end, those other green flares/smoke trails are the rest of troops left behind in DC that pushed back the Russians. It just makes the campaign even better with those small details shown just for a few seconds.
