*Episode 30 is the 'halfway mark' of Inner Work Essentials... but why?* 🤔 Advanced warning : this is a SUPER nerdy and behind-the-scenes comment. If you take the time to watch all 52 IWE episodes, you might start to notice how I've intentionally 'laddered' these videos into a thematically progressive 'education-arc'. I like teaching theory, and spent months structuring IWE as an intentional 'double-recursive spiral of learning' - a term that I just made up, but nonetheless indicates how *we will cover the same topics twice, but at increasing levels of complexity and precision.* I'm aiming for novel repetition of core concepts, and far deeper digestion than most TH-cam videos encourage. Hearing it once isn't enough. Neither is twice or five times, to be honest. I consider episodes 1-30 as offering the 'entry point' by featuring more 'beginner books' to spark your initial interest. More specifically, if you purchased and engaged with the thirty books featured in the first 30 episodes, then you could probably consider yourself ''intermediate level' in 'inner work understanding' - whatever that means. Episodes 31-52, however, mark our transition to the 'advanced spiral'. You'll notice how the last five or six episodes in this series have been of higher calibre. I've started to push the boundaries a little more despite the risk of being somewhat triggering or otherwise inviting shadow-boxing (curious how this inner shift got picked up by the algorithm too, right?). The next twenty episodes of IWE will return to the base themes opened up from the first 30 episodes of IWE: topics such as embryology, trauma release, attachment theory, neuroscience, parts work and esoteric maturation, etc - All of the core concepts, but at greater depth. Double-recursive educational spiral, lets go baby!
Wow… I have no idea how this video showed up “randomly” for me, but I am infinitely grateful that it did. Brilliant. I will need to catch up on episodes 1-30 and what a great way to nourish myself over my daily morning contemplations. Thank you!
*1-1 Mentorship Information: Price & Structure (Maximum Capacity = 20 Clients Per Year)* It's an absolute pleasure to film these TH-cam videos, and I feel fortunate to receive an abundance of meaningful messages every week, but I am unfortunately faced with the disappointing reality of turning away the vast majority of people who want to work together. I have significantly limited availability and can only support twenty people per year because I do not offer one-off calls or drop-in consulting sessions. Twenty individuals might not sound like maximum capacity, but the last few years of teaching have taught me the importance of maintaining tight energetic boundaries if I want to keep uploading these free videos in addition to serving my current clients to the best of my ability in 2024. To minimise confusion and enhance transparency, I've spent several hours writing this ridiculously long comment to help you decide if my Inner Work Mentorship is the right choice for your development & what you could reasonably expect from working closely together. Please take the time to read this service description before contacting me on Instagram… or feel free to stop reading right now if you’re not interested in my fees, session structure, client expectations, etc. ... *READ BEFORE SCROLLING FURTHER:* I'm interested in long-term change and structural transformation, which is why I've never offered one-off sessions. Complex issues cannot be resolved in a few hours, but we likewise need to define an upper limit for containment and collaboration. I've learned that deep and enduring self-integration requires at least four months of immersive effort. Why four months? It's enough weekly contact for us to work through multiple complex issues and developmental possibilities, but short enough to mitigate against unconscious co-dependency and motivational stagnation. I'm currently accepting a maximum of two new clients per month - message me after reading the following section to check my availability. ... *HOW I WORK & WHO I WORK WITH* Unlike other coaches and teachers who take an understandably more relaxed approach to healing and integration, my mentorships are characteristically intense. This is a highly-demanding, high-investment process which requires our consistent combined effort over a period of four months. If we were to start working together, I would reasonably expect you to be excited to show up for a minimum of 10+ hours of self-motivated transformative practice per week (daily reading, fitness routine, creative exercises, spiritual reflection, etc.) while also maintaining full-sobriety (no drink, no drugs, no cigarettes, no vapes). These strict standards of discipline and sobriety are plainly unsuitable for most people in most situations - even genuinely motivated individuals who resonate with my TH-cam videos may not be the right match for four months of structured mentorship. If you want to get deeper, I've noticed that there's a certain type of ‘temperament' & 'timing’ to get the most out of me. I'm interested in alert, creative and purpose-driven individuals who aspire to exceptional standards of self-maturation and would enjoy the feeling of going through week-on-week of progressively stacked transformative experiences for a third of a year: my ideal client is somebody who is willing to bring forward their internal complexity with a sense of courage and transparency with the intention of nothing less than full-spectrum transformation & rapid acceleration on their personal path. I am yet to discover another supportive figure who offers something comparable to this mentorship: a four-month, structured yet flexible 1-1 container which is simultaneously therapeutic, academic and action-oriented; with primary focus placed on tangible improvements in your felt sense of self-knowledge and self-integration; in addition to making consistent and meaningful progress towards your unique goals and mentorship aspirations. I prioritise contact, compassion and accountability, which means that your work never really 'ends' at the end of your session. You can reasonably expect to be fed dozens of customised reading suggestions and follow-on perspectives outside of the formal sessions via friendly and informal messenger contact, where I am active and available four days per week to cultivate an intimate personal connection while likewise enhancing your positive momentum via accountability check-ins and additional support as required. By way of conclusion for what feels like an extraordinarily long comment and service description, I feel compelled to once more emphasise that working directly with me is unrealistic for most people in most situations. I often support people who are accustomed to wrestling with the emotional challenges associated with working through complex wounds in previous therapeutic relationships before we begin our coaching work together. Even individuals without 'hard trauma' can expect moments of pressurised darkness and heaviness during periods of shadow contact as you begin to restructure your personal unconscious. We will be exploring your psyche and soma at scale and depth, and it will be your responsibility to keep me informed about the emotional texture of your internal reality, especially if you encounter negatively charged experiences, and I will of course do everything in my power to support you through the hard times as we integrate the darkness and move forwards together. TH-cam is a wonderful place for me to share free research resources and offer accessible inner work invitations; my private mentorships, however, are the place for collaborative partnership and emotional security as we identify, navigate and restructure oftentimes confronting and challenging conscious and unconscious physical, emotional and mental material. Ultimately, this is a highly-demanding but highly-rewarding process which requires the best of our shared intentions. ... *SESSION STRUCTURE & FEES:* The total fee for an Inner Work Mentorship (including 12 x 2 hr sessions) is £7,400 GBP or approximately $9,400 USD. This is my only coaching programme, and my mentorship pricing is liable to adjustment over time.
Each private session lasts two hours, and is facilitated via Telegram video call at an ideal time for both of us. Your mentorship extends over a linear four-month period, with a total of twenty-four hours of structured session time, in addition to four days per week of unlimited messenger availability for accountability updates, voice note exchanges and informal calls upon occasion. I do not work on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays, but I am fully-available across all timezones for regular calls and messenger contact on Thursday - Sunday. If you’ve scrolled this far, and resonate with what I’m offering, I invite you to message me on Instagram. It would be my pleasure to start exploring your goals and intentions in real-time. IMPORTANT: I am an intentionally independent coach, and not a licensed therapist or associated with any professional bodies or coaching institutions, and therefore enjoy the freedom to collaborate with my clients across all areas of life in an intimate, direct and highly involved coaching style. I work with no more than twenty people per year, and am currently accepting a maximum of two new clients per month. I also manage my own inbox and do not use automated systems or employ people to pretend to be me on Instagram, which means that it usually takes four to six weeks for me to respond to new messages and begin the interview process. Although my approach takes time, I hope you ultimately appreciate my personal emphasis on authentic and confidential communication from the very beginning of our relationship. I once again encourage you to message me immediately if you want to start working together within the next two months - bump yourself to the top of my inbox, and I’ll send you some voice notes to get our conversation started.
You're doing wonderful work, Jordan. I'm grateful to have found your channel! I think you're right that these concepts/ideas are needed now, more than ever.
Rebecca, thank you! Took a look at your channel and love seeing some of the old school video game psychology you’ve already explored! Divine masc/fem exploration in Zelda - marvellous 🌲🔥
Your videos are always well thought out/well spoken and help me understand and connect with some of the feelings, thoughts, and experiences I am juggling. Especially when it comes to the discussion of self-grandiosity and that sort of spiritual isolation we put ourselves through to sort of stay in our little echo chamber, This video has helped me to recognize this archetype in my own life and where I have been falling especially short lately in terms of self-awareness and regulation of certain aspects of self. Thank you for sharing your light with the world, keep up the good work :)
Takes real humility for us to look in the mirror and realise our grandiosity, bravo my friend! Right here in this work alongside you - gotta stay watchful of our delusions etc
Hey, good stuff. I just discovered your channel here; so I’m newly subbed. I consider myself a professional patient of psychology and psychiatry. I’ve been in and out of different types of therapy since I was 7 and well into my late 30s. ( I’m 40 now) none of it worked for me. Have you ever tried Kundalini? That brand of meditation slapped me into awareness. I no longer suffer from any psychiatric illness and embrace this experience of being of God consciousness, part of the divine spirit, in human form. I created my own suffering. It’s not easy to understand why some go through a tumultuous past, but through radical acceptance of. I learned this by letting go. Total surrender. Everyone has to take that hero’s journey, no matter what happens. It takes courage for sure; there is essentially nothing to fear. By doing shadow work, my truth revealed that I am loving, deserving, compassionate and full of benevolence as most all are, as humans; whereas before, Allowing myself to believe what other people said of me, was a bunch of said individuals’ projection of their own inadequacies. I created my own personal hell realm and it’s no thanks to being a part of sick society that shuns sensitive and empathic individuals. Many traumas I’ve been through, I’m grateful for- these led me to grace. ❤️ I’ll have to check out some more of your videos. Take good care. 🙏
Kundalini is a risk... Tons of emotional energy move through the body in a short period of time. This can actually contribute to more archetypal inflation as the traumas/complexes come up, though the end result is less fixation to the ego. It looks like an intense process that medical professionals will not be able to help with if there's a spiritual emergency.
Narcissistic inflation is usually driven by a shame complex, but I think you touched on that. Inflation is always compensatory. As one approaches Integration after decades of inner work and the Soul or Psychic Being comes to the front, authentic true power arises. This is after the shadow has been integrated and the complexes healed. This is the stage of Soul Realization. The psyche becomes a Unity Spirit from the Core Self Center infuses the whole being. Spirit is grand, noble, powerful, and magnificent. People at this stage, may appear to others to be grandiose but is actually authentically excellent in every way. Grandiosity looks different and is different depending on which stage one is at. While a person is dualistic and narcissistic, inflation is compensatory and is a dangerous pitfall, but at the Soul Actualized level, one feels genuinely powerful and grande from within. Incredible authentic self confidence arise. However, the spiritually realized person is integrated, humble, and grounded, even while infused with effulgence and bliss.
It's interesting that you mention a shame complex. I started reading about narcissism during my individuation so that I could break the cycles--and at some point, I noticed an inner gaslighter starting to form and started fearing that this voice reflected a part of my identity (identification with a thought which was ego-dystonic and represented a fear of being an abuser). Realized that an authority figure in my life had a tendency for control. Felt so alone in this and my shame convinced me that I was a narcissist, so the compensation was echoism: to start to silence myself so I wouldn't externalize this inner voice, while my trickster function had other ideas. That was my Nigredo--an inner conflict between empathic, sensitive parts and narcissism.
Dear Jordan, Thank for the book recommendations. I appreciate this time of information, have loved Carl Jung for many years and take archetypal work seriously. Especially shadow work. I appreciate your research and the information you are providing on your channel. I am a theology/mythology major, so this is fun stuff for me. Sincerely, Immortal Beloved (Kimber Wolfgang)
Wonderful! Great to connect with another academically-minded traveller. Hope you enjoy the recommendation, plenty of golden books highlighted in this series!
You answered so many of my recent thoughts and feelings that I’ve carried around, mostly at work. I could never quite actualize certain energies which I developed during my spare time. I would always transform when I stepped into my workplace. I noticed a difference, but there was never a full blossom. Instead I tried to compromise between the environment and I, but felt I lost a large part of myself. Now I understand better what I went through. Thanks for this video, I’m now subscribed and I can’t wait for more!
Once you understand your shadow you stop trying to battle it because you realise everything seemingly evil and deceptive is an expression of unconditional love...as only love would protect the innocence of perspective and seek to destroy the perceived source of suffering by any means necessary and without question.
For sure, shadow boxing becomes increasingly unnecessary as we spend more years integrating our fragments and unconscious material. Degrees of differentiation & distinction to be remembered, but yes it’s ultimately ‘unified’.
Perfect!!!! I love this, thank you for pointing this video out. I do BQH, but haven't done it for money because I feel people get too attached to the stories they experience. I make it a point to explain I feel they are just put into a time and place, a dream type state, to bring in an energy they either need to feel and clear, or an archetype they need to embrace more into their life. I feel things like BQH are tools to work with these energies in our lives to assist in transmuting powerlessness to empowerment. Thank you for sharing...
Such a difficult period of time, very isolating at certain moments. Happy to be a voice of reflection & wishing you smooth forward momentum in the next stages of your journey 🌲
Namaste. Wow ..so greatful...this is like um, Christmas finding your channel! What a delightful poetic presence of being you have also! Thankyou so so much 💓 so greatful to find this beauty
@@jordanthornton yes indeed. I'm a Dr carl jung enthusiast, love all his work particularly with regards to the phenomena of synchronisity. He was also reportedly a huge influence on the development of the 12 Steps (step 2, "came to believe"). I love Schopenhauer and Nietzsche also...delight for the soul. It's can be quite a "lonely' pursuit philosophy ( I live in Queensland by the ocean) but Jungian concepts are so bridging...and seem to attract creative, life affirming people who are keen to explore the shadows potentiality. I look forward to hearing more of what you have to say and thankyou again for Christmas in June 😉 Namaste Jordan 🙏 ❤ 😀
Holy Mother of the gods, I love your channel!!! How did I find such treasure in a dark place?😜🙃 I'll be watching and rewatching your vids for a loooong time!😊 Thank you, so freaking much!!! I struck gold, bitches! Woohaaa! 😜 No, really though, your channel rocks! So full of riches and am quite grateful that you're sharing them AND your soul to the world. This takes a lot of guts, and your courage and strength of bearing your soul to us to teach us, is helping to give me/us more strength and courage too. Namasté 🙏Much love to you!💖💖💖
Nikki, welcome! Your appreciation is well-received and I will absolutely continue for many years! Thank you, and sending positivity right back at you (also highly recommend starting this series from episode 1, you'll get a lot from the sequencing progression!)
@@jordanthornton lol yes, I did start doing that and got distracted by your other vids 😂 I'm like, "Ooo! this looks good!" or "Ooo! This one I gotta hear!" So now I'm all over the place! I gotta collect myself and start from the beginning 😂✌😉💖 Like, I just saw the one you posted about drug addicts. I didn't watch it yet, but I'm like, "Ooo, gotta see that later!" because I was an addict too. So, that's why I said, I'll be watching and rewatching a lot! You are correct though, I do need to start from the beginning. Ugh!😜😂
I was raised with a narcissist mother for 47 years. I'm doing healing work. My question is why do I draw to a narcissist more than good and loving relationship? I've only been working for this about a year. Will I finally be better at drawing healthier people. Much Love and Light Sister Sharon Johnston (JOYFUL TEARS)🙏🔥👑🥀🌷🌹💐💕
Sharon, keep going. The pattern will reveal itself in its own time - general principle is that we tend to fixate & magnetise people who ‘fill in the gaps’ of our own structure. Could benefit from focusing on healthy Self-Centredness!
people ultimately want freedom from any suffering...... they are searching....there is Grace. Balance Joy Breath experience is essential in my opinion. Thank you for this message. 🙏 gratitude 🕊 Glad you are here kind soul ...
Gotta say, as you've been mentioning this a few times now... Coming from ah,.. starting as a weirdo, to a full blown existential crisis and eventually trying to stick everything back together... I still find it difficult to wrap my head around this. But hey, let's try that, just for fun! "I'm a powerful devine fem! Whoo-hoo!" *insert hysterical laughter from all my inner selves* "Yeah yeah, hold on, you burning dumpster fire." I think I'll just get back to my books... x)
I’ve found that the sexuality & embodiment elements of working with masculinity / femininity really take us far along the path. It’s becoming more away of our essence beneath our conditioning & general desensitisation to sublime forces - you’ve got this!
@@jordanthornton That I can only agree with. But to clarify... it seems the more I learned, experienced, etc., the smaller, the more flaky and somewhat useless I started feeling. Not the other way around. Hence my confusion. :)
@@abbebjorkman I'll throw in two examples - a man rescues a woman and child from a burning house "Absolute King, well done!" ; A woman devotes a year or more of her life caring for her elderly parent while still maintaining family stability - again appropriate for a female friend to call her a Queen. Of course, I agree that we shouldn't take these things literally - but metaphoric language can be powerful when used sparingly. It speaks towards a sense of nobility and having endured something difficult for the sake of someone else. Hope this helps!
Jordan you are my most favorite person in all of the Land of TH-cam. I am inspired and encouraged by your path of inner initiation and I swear it’s a coincidence that I’m complimenting you so highly while on the topic of Narcissism (do not mistake me for a love-bomber please) It sounded here as if you were saying that Narcissistic personalities can be attributed to embodying grand archetypes. I like that outlook and I wonder if Narcissism itself is it’s own archetype. On a more spiritual note I once heard that our psyches are made up of many spirits and even our “worldly obsessed” ego itself is a spirit… and one can become possessed by the spirit of Narcissism. Same picture different lens
Thankyou Jordan I'm finding your videos very interesting indeed I must go back and have a look at the one on the Sub-Conscious mind I love how our minds work! Btw if you don't mind me saying your eyes and lips look extremely colourful in recent videos!!❤️🇬🇧
We have DID and a lot of our alters seem to be built on a specific archetype. We recently have started working with some of our more narcissistic alters and its pretty difficult for all the queens and gods to see they're actually human 😅 On the other hand, understanding that we really needed the feeling of power they gave us in our powerless childhood helped to treat them with respect, even while helping them to step off their pedestal. Some of them really enjoy having more freedom of self expression, now they don't have to be this one thing anymore!
This is great to hear, Morgane. Are you engaged in Internal Family Systems Therapy or another parts work approach currently? Centring in that Self energy is really a game changer for experience & perception 🌞
@@jordanthornton Our regular therapist doesn't really know much about DID, so we're mostly trying to figure out what works for us on our own. We might get an inpatient stay for trauma therapy soon, but not sure how much they'd work with different parts...
@@incanthatus8182 I get you - good luck, and once more highly recommend IFS (can start with ‘No Bad Parts book as well as other similar modalities - insightful & healing work)
People use psychological crutches all of their lives. They travel all over their own heads and the entire world as well to find something to believe in. Some bring a flashlight. Others forget one, or don't even care to have any light shone in their lives. They look outward toward another, hoping they might have an answer for them that will quell the pain. Some want to be analyzed and comforted. Many others are always deflecting, or being distracted, or pointing to things that were to blame for their problems. There is often a pile up of problems in the heart and mind, and this is interpreted to be some deep layer from the past, which is actually a misdiagnosis from modern psychology. There is no depth to these 'inner children'. These 'fragments of the self' are nothing more than conditioned responses brought out under certain local or similar circumstances from the past, or even initiated by an imagination that wants out. These 'problems' are actually all superficial in relationship to the whole being (the mind), like tiny waves on a huge lake. Instead of waiting for those moments when a wave arrives, and 'something' might happen (to be analyzed later), or an event to even be induced by a 'professional', (and thus work on it through a period of years, or maybe a lifetime), there is, all the time, a far simpler way to know the true self. The true self is really simply the whole self, when seen without filters, without a conditioned identification. Self observation occurs when one can see, completely, that all that one has done has been done by the fragmented self, the inner child, or, later, by the insane unbalanced adult we call 'sane', 'capable', or 'striving' (all humans are here, flawed, just on a continuum -- look at society). Start there (here), and maybe end there (here). One is conditioned, all your gurus, your doctors, all humans -- the mailman, the president. To see this deeply is the beginning of self observation, and self awareness. It is to doubt EVERYTHING, especially one's fragmented self! It is a completely different approach to looking at life. To have no authority (not to live unlawfully, but to not have fear of any authority), to live freely without religion, or hope, or belief. To know deeply all of those (the deadly trinity of religion, hope, and belief) came from your conditioning and have all led to what mankind has collectively become. There is no escape from that trinity by way of the trinity's repeated usage. That is crazy! But to look at one's own conditioning and habits, without fear, now that is some kind of wonderful! Everything that is currently part of mankind (the conditioned state, the present pain) is living in a (parenthetical phrase). After seeing the truth of this parenthetical phrase deeply and knowing that it is not the way that is true, you will become a part that is beyond all words, all psychological destruction, all systems. This insight has not a thing to do with one's ego, or controlling -- like so many therapist use, or social climbing, or improving, or arriving, or taking steps to enlightenment, or being better... it has nothing to do with tomorrow either. Maybe all can start now with nothing, or to find nothing now. This approach would not be advised for the rigid and set minded. But for some who see the truth of it, life will be more beautiful than can be imagined, because it is real and whole, not experienced by a fragment of the self. This practice of an 'active life' is wild, and untamed by the way of mankind's silly control systems that are rapidly destroying the world... I just had this video in my recommendations for some reason...
after reading your behind the scenes comment, I have a question: to be clear, would it be better for us to have read the 30 recommended books from the previous episodes before we watch the next 20? otherwise, what you have to say would just go over our heads? or would that be too unrealistic to do?
I’m ultimately making this series for future consumption - imagining people finding a random episode in 2025 and coming back to all 52 where they can watch in order. Ultimately, and ideally, I would recommend reading every book in order - but this isn’t realistic and will take a year for most people hahah
Reading Facing the Dragon is an excellent foundation for any further archetypal exploration - and I would then recommend going with whichever book speaks to you more! Happy reading!
This sounds like a tongue and cheek mistranslation against the self incorporation of the archetypal Christ figure aka the root of all hero archetypes. You can talk about warriors, and magicians, and lovers, and crones, but if it’s coming from Jung, it’s talking about one archetype. The question is, what is the risk in incorporating a truly righteous and true archetype of love versus whatever infinite tarot card astrology crap you sell to your “clients”.
Appreciate what you’re saying, but it’s been nonetheless demonstrated that most people relate to gendered / differentiates archetypal motifs very strongly. Common human pattern, and it supports people in understanding themselves from new angles.
@@jordanthornton First off thank you for trying to help people. I think my problem here is the concept of gendered archetypes. If you get married to someone and you have an archetype of an ideal husband and your wife has a different archetype of an ideal husband, everything you choose to do towards that ideal will inevitably conflict with her ideal of you. The reason why so many people are gender-confused is because as a society we try to gender restrict the archetypes of what it means to be the best person. It's why so much modern media is focused on including female characters in the hero's journey myth. We need to stop telling people what their best version is based on gender and focus on universally applicable archetypes that don't wash away personal faults based on our gender, such as violent men or manipulative women. These are universal human flaws, not gendered.
@@spencersmith9536 Really interesting take on gendered archetypes here, Spencer. I disagree with you almost entirely but genuinely respect your stance and can see how the focus on universally applicable stories has its benefits!
@@spencersmith9536 The reason that I disagree is that humans are always subject to biological gender differences - there is a baseline, even if there is an incredible degree of variety across cultures and individuals. I see the value in honouring & uplifting those gendered stories - while also integrating the opposite masculine/feminine forces, which perhaps you also agree with :)
Or the worse, "the teacher of God", haha that's the most prevalent archetype on TH-cam. It is full of over "inflated" "teachers of Life", they have "recieved" nothing so now they "preach" on how the rest of the world should also "do" to "enlightment". Do flowers "teach" other flowers how to bloom? Those that have already bloomed, boost on the fact they did as if not a GIFT?, and if a Gift, could they ever "teach" other flowers?

Ultimately, this is a highly-demanding but highly-rewarding process which requires the best of our shared intentions.
...
*SESSION STRUCTURE & FEES:*
The total fee for an Inner Work Mentorship (including 12 x 2 hr sessions) is £7,400 GBP or approximately $9,400 USD.

@@jordanthornton Thank you so much! ^_^ Video games are a wonderful arena to explore these ideas!
@@RebeccaETripp For sure, many nostalgic feelings too!
I’ll have to check out some more of your videos.
It's said that there needs to be years of training before beginning this because it's a massive energetic disruption.
Loved this. Thank you for helping to make these important ideas available for everyone, for free. What a wonderful thing.
It’s my pleasure - even more valuable wisdom in Robert Moore’s work featured here too!

Eventually... maybe in 2023!
Very well said, once again. Important comment which I hope many people read.
Incredible Insight.
Let’s let that truth sink in, deeply.
Dear Jordan,
Thank for the book recommendations. I appreciate this time of information, have loved Carl Jung for many years and take archetypal work seriously. Especially shadow work.
I appreciate your research and the information you are providing on your channel. I am a theology/mythology major, so this is fun stuff for me.

Wonderful! Great to connect with another academically-minded traveller. Hope you enjoy the recommendation, plenty of golden books highlighted in this series!
Thank you, Jordan!
John, it’s my pleasure - some common themes which are hard to articulate, still feel like I’m only scratching the surface myself 🌲
Thank you for the clarity 🙏🙏🙏
*•.It all is what it is.•*
Once you understand your shadow you stop trying to battle it because you realise everything seemingly evil and deceptive is an expression of unconditional love...as only love would protect the innocence of perspective and seek to destroy the perceived source of suffering by any means necessary and without question.
For sure, shadow boxing becomes increasingly unnecessary as we spend more years integrating our fragments and unconscious material. Degrees of differentiation & distinction to be remembered, but yes it’s ultimately ‘unified’.
Fabulous comment...so descriptive to my own experience David...thankyou! 👌 wow. Namaste 🙏

Yes, exactly!
Whoo-hoo!"

"Yeah yeah, hold on, you burning dumpster fire."
I think I'll just get back to my books...
Very good video, calling eachother kings and queens and other archetypes is truly detrimental to society.
Time and a place for the language, but yes... mostly wrong time and wrong place hahah
@@jordanthornton Is there every really a time or a place för calling one:king or queen? When is that?
@@abbebjorkman I'll throw in two examples - a man rescues a woman and child from a burning house "Absolute King, well done!" ; A woman devotes a year or more of her life caring for her elderly parent while still maintaining family stability - again appropriate for a female friend to call her a Queen.
Of course, I agree that we shouldn't take these things literally - but metaphoric language can be powerful when used sparingly. It speaks towards a sense of nobility and having endured something difficult for the sake of someone else.
Hope this helps!
@@jordanthornton I would agreee with the examples given, but those situations are rarities. So both the time and the place doesnt occur often🙏🙏❤️
Thank you! Huge compliment which I don't take for granted - I think you've got what I'm saying, yes (and adding to my points very nicely too)
Thankyou Jordan I'm finding your videos very interesting indeed I must go back and have a look at the one on the Sub-Conscious mind I love how our minds work! Btw if you don't mind me saying your eyes and lips look extremely colourful in recent videos!!❤️🇬🇧
Thank you, and yes - best to focus on the words & message not the packaging... my lips are irrelevant.
We have DID and a lot of our alters seem to be built on a specific archetype. We recently have started working with some of our more narcissistic alters and its pretty difficult for all the queens and gods to see they're actually human 😅
On the other hand, understanding that we really needed the feeling of power they gave us in our powerless childhood helped to treat them with respect, even while helping them to step off their pedestal.
Thank you ! Which book would you recommend to read first ? Facing the dragon ? or the other two?
Reading Facing the Dragon is an excellent foundation for any further archetypal exploration - and I would then recommend going with whichever book speaks to you more! Happy reading!
😔😕🥺💓💚🙏
Hahahaha beautiful eyes ❤❤❤
Welcome, and it’s a pleasure to get connected. Hope you’re already stacking your shelves with some golden books - you picked up any new reads yet? 🌲
Jungs work encorporates chistianity Theology...
Nice metaphor, yes - we can teach via example and trust others to bloom in their own ways much of the time.
