Ryan W yeah I like his unbiased reviews. I first was exposed to his reviews when he did the side by side comparisons of a Grand Seiko to a mid grade Seiko (i think the SARB?) I like the straightforward presentation and more facts than opinions.
I think the watch snobs are just miffed because a company can produce a nice quality, stylish watch for around $100 and these same people spent 6 months worth of mortgage payments to slap something on their wrist to impress others who simply couldn't give a sh*t! Ten Invictas in my collection and love them all. Thanks for the honesty.
I am a newer Invicta collector. I have a bunch of Omega’s, a Movado and a few other high end watches. I only wear invicta’s now and really enjoy them. This was a great unbiased review. I went into this figuring you were going to bash them. You earned a new subscriber.
Hi, bagpeddler. Congrats on your collection. Invicta does many things right with their business model for sure. They are growing their portfolio and have become a major force by owning Glycine, Technomarine, and even the lesser known S. Coiffman. Thanks and hope to see ya around. 👊
@@TheTightSqueeze uh, because I like them, because they aren’t $5000.00 each, because if I smash one into a counter at work......I don’t care, because it’s my money and I like them.
@@Skeetersbuzz one of my faves is a simple Invicta. Black and silver, with a black leather band. The crystal has a few scratches but it's a workhorse I don't mind getting dirty. For that, it does have special status as far as I'm concerned.
Rich this is the best and most unbiased Invicta video ever. Holy cow you sure put in the work for this video. The information you provided is truly educational. I don’t mind the Pro Diver but not so much Invicta’s others. I’ve had my Pro Diver for 4 years and it exceeded my expectations. I had no idea just how huge Invicta as a company is. Thank you for this video. Bravo. 👏 👍👏
i tend to buy whatever really catches my eye.I am an invicta collector with 35 watches, but in total i have 100 watches with the other 65 watches being made by other manufacturers, Movado....etc. Invicta should make more smaller watches for men as I tend to go with watches between 42 and 48mm. I do however have some 50 and 52mm invictas just because, and you are correct that their quality is very good for the prices. I just love watches in general.
I collect all kind and style of watches, from Omega to Seiko, and many good chinese brands. Also Invicta. If you love watches you must have an Invicta, almost 30 Invictas in my collection of 400+ watches
Hi, Mauricio! Nice count of nearly 30 Invictas. Way off from two Invicta owners records of 1900 and 1700 Invictas. Those guys are definitely addicted to Invicta. Enjoy and congrats on your collection. Thanks for sharing, bro. 👊👌
Just bought my second Invicta last nite ..Just waiting for delivery..First was a black Bolt Zeus and my one i just bought is the Bolt Tria ...have had the first about 2yrs and so far happy..
I never considered buying an Invicta. Just bored and scrolling through the website one day I realized just how many mind boggling designs they have that no one else even comes close to. Even the most abhorrent models could look good on some people with certain wardrobes. I decided to try a 50mm black sea spider based model 26749 Marvel Black Panther for 80 bucks just to see for myself. IMHO it really is a good looking watch. All the functions work perfectly. The case and dial finishing are really quite impressive and the band is cool AF. I set the Hattori Seiko quartz movement the day it was received to the online Atomic Clock. It is now one year later and is only off maybe 2 or 3 seconds. Sure It doesn't have hacking, a real chrono second hand, no month tracking for the date, and the clasp is a little tinny, but what can you really expect for 80 whole dollars. It's a very big and heavy watch that felt awkward in the beginning, but only took about a month or so to get used to. This watch taught me that I like em big. I still wear it nearly everyday and I absolutely love it, How do they do it? Amazing!
Hi, mikeymik2. I’m glad you’ve discovered a new taste that is different from your norm. 50mm would be far too large for me, but I understand your discovery. Continue to enjoy.
I just purchased one of the graffiti watches, my circle is in the visual arts , creative people, actors, artists, galleries, exhibits, museums & so forth. They are not horologists as soon as we are able to get together again I can't wait to wear it. It will be an attention getter, & a conversation starter. I didn't have to get a second mortgage to buy it. I do own a small collection of vintage Bulova Accutrons. I love my Invicta so who cares If every once in a while we let our hair down. Some of the unhappiest people I have ever known are those trying to please others, do what makes you happy enjoy your Invictas. Great piece by the way I greatly enjoyed it.
Hi, Grady. Congrats on your graffiti model. They are, indeed, eye-catching. And admittedly kinda cool. Enjoy it and let’s definitely hope we can get back together soon. 🤙🍻
My 1st watch was an Invicta... Way too gaudy, big and heavy for me. Returned it and got Pagani and Casio, very happy with both of those! I respect what they do but couldn't get into it myself.
Great comments! I own 13 Invicta’s, and a wide variety or assortment of watches. I wear a different watch at work everyday. Invicta, Citizens, Torgoen, AVI-8, Panzera. 👍🏼
I'm not really a watch guy. Every watch I've ever owned have been Casio and I currently own only four watches. But the fact that Invicta has a dizzying amount of selections their website I thought they were really, really successful. Some of them are really cool.
@@whatsonthewrist the fanatic people that are stuck in the past, that like old vintage style watches, won't be into invicta, the reason for that is' normal people won't even take notice of what watch there wearing, but when there's a invicta present , people are instantly attracted to it, due to the Garth, style, and flash, wearing my invictas out ' people are always noticing with excitement and firing questions about it , I'll wear my omega out, or my seikos and there's nothing, there's no questions, basically no one has even noticed, invicta have hit the nail on the head , with style in these modern days🙂👍
I got admit it ,,one of the best and honest reviews video on Invicta that I’ve ever seen and you’re absolutely right about everything on invicta It now a culture !!!! and it’s gonna be here for a very long time!!!
I really enjoyed this video. It was an honest to goodness fair breakdown of "Invicta" as a company and brand. After hearing you, I agree. You made a solid case and and it stands true to this day, 2 Years or more after you made this video.
Fantastic and unbiased video with loads of useful info. You certainly did your research my man. Who knew Invicta owned Glycine??? Now it makes sense why Invicta is always on that home shopping network. I swear I always wondered what the heck do they get all that air time. They might as well call it the Invicta shopping network. I don’t hate Invicta but there designs except for the pro diver are not for me. Great job sir. 👍
Hi, Tom! Yes The Invicta Watch Group is quite the empire that owns a few brands and yep Glycine is one of them. Glycine is a beloved brand. Thanks, brother. 👊
So there I was...all huffy and puffy and prepared to go into beast-mode.....aaaand then agreed with every point you made. In truth I don't like every watch or collection Invicta makes, and I don't agree with all of the design or marketing things they do. They are my fav brand, and I don't really understand the haters entirely, although even they get a good point in now and then. I don't think the oversized watches are going away and I'm glad for it.... the days of hiding your favourite watch under your cuff are long gone. Big, bold, and creatively designed watches will always be popular with a percentage of enthusiasts. Loved the video...said the new subscriber. Keep em' comin !!!
Hello, F Josey. While some models are not my cup of tea, I am not a hater. Everyone has different tastes. I respect the enormous success Invicta is enjoying. Thanks!
I own five invictas just bought a 38 mm meteorite dial ceramic bezel and diamond accents on it also has sapphire glass, they are good watches some there stuff looks kinda crazy but I like there simple designs and the value u get. U get the nh35a movement. I also own a technomarine titanium reef which is super unique watch never saw another watch that was liquid filled. I like invicta they are the reason I got into watches seem reliable and good value. Also liked the un snobby review for some of us invicta is what started our watch enthusiasm so I can't help invicta holds special spot for me u earned a sub
Hey, John. Congrats on your collection. Yes I’ve seen the meteorite dial. They sure do offer a lot of value with that model. If I recall it was only around $250 or so. That’s near impossible to beat. Thank you and I hope to see ya around regularly. Cheers and enjoy our awesome hobby. 👌

Wow, Rich. a great comment! You have touched all the points about Invicta and illustrated it better than most of us could. And I also agree with you 100%. I am sure that most of micro brand watch companies hate Invicta, but deep down inside, most of them would envy the company "hatefully" & "zealously". As you said, Invicta is playing their own game and let the fans follow their games and also enjoy it as much as they can. We, a watch aficionados, can hate them as we would like, but at the end, it is a business, a very lucrative one for Invicta, and they are setting their own fashions and trends. And no one has the right to say "it is wrong or right". Most of us tend to forget that IT IS A BUSINESS and at the end, the brand is most likely to be judged by their financial success and how widely it is being accepted. And Invicta is best at their own games. So far, no others can touch them. thanks Rich and have a great day.
Hey, Alex! Yes indeed no other watch company comes close to their success as others are struggling. Invicta understands the importance of relating to and catering to their fan base. They form a terrific Invicta community like no other. If I were an Invicta owner I would be in watch heaven with everything they do for their customers. They have the strongest tight knit community. Thanks, bro. 👊👌👍
@@whatsonthewrist It isn't as much as catering to their fan base, but they are creating & leading their fan base to where Invicta want them to go... That is what they are doing and what we all should admire and appreciate. PS: personally, I believe that 99.9% of their watches are absolutely hideous, but quite frequently, I can not stop myself by turning to their SHOPHQ channel, ha ha ha.
@Alex. I know what you mean, Shop HQ is very addicting with Invicta. They do an awesome job and their production value is well done. Not cheesy at all. 😜
Hi, Milar. If I recall it has a decent looking dial and is quartz and probably around 49mm. I’ve seen them priced between $99-$150 so I’m not sure how much you can get for it. Good luck.
@@whatsonthewrist Alright. Reason i asked is cause Tommy Big Time here on TH-cam makes reviews on real and fake invictas by comparing them...check him out. He however, said mine is not fake.
Great video Rich and I completely agree with you. Anything that gets people into watches, be it quartz or mechanical, as opposed to smart watches, is a good thing. To each their own.
Great information, Rich! Not an Invicta fan, but as you said, it is better than they put a smart watch on their wrist. As they learn, and get financial resources in their life, they will be the future higher end watch buyer. Steve
Hi Rich, new subscriber here and great commentary! I have had many watches over the years from Rolex on down and do own several Invicta watches. My personal opinion is that if you get a quality movement in a case and bracelet/band made of quality materials that can be serviced/repaired it qualifies as a good watch. I was a bit put off by Invictas decision a couple of years ago to not sell parts to the general public thus forcing owners to send their watch to them if replacement parts are required. We will just have to see how that plays out over time I guess. Keep up the great work!
Hi, Steve. I think part of their plan to have their customers send in their watches for repair was to sell them on the upgrade program. It was almost like a subscription with the ability to change out watches for newer models.
@@whatsonthewrist Hi Rich, thats very interesting and I had not heard that! Still, it sucks for those of us that can do repairs or would prefer not to have to pay shipping and wait for them to fix and return. Plus the many horror stories I’ve heard about folks finally getting their watch back after a long wait only to find a new problem or just quality control issues on reassembly. I know there are those that will say “it’s just an Invicta” but I like to try to keep my watches in as good of shape as I can and would like to mitigate others that it’s not that important to from working on my watch. Thanks for the reply and Cheers !
Question....what is the origin of the traditional watch sizing guide? When and where did it originate ??? As a horological addict it's a question I can't find an answer to...and it drives me crazy. (well...MORE crazy)
Hi, F Josey. I read awhile back the first wrist watch was made around 1868 for someone of royalty, a she, by Patek Philippe. Then ever since then for men around 33mm or so. 33-36 have remained the “traditional” size is my guess. Thanks for the interesting question. 👌
@@whatsonthewrist Elizabeth 1 was given the very first wristwatch in 1571. It was a one off. 1868 was the year that pocket watches went into mass production and were accessible to the average person. No, I'm looking for a date when the present sizing guide was created. I know it was after WW2, but looking for the year it was first used/ignored.
Great video Rich! I can say I don't own an Invicta but I have recommended it and even gifted it to people just getting into the automatic watch game. It is a decent low price entry into mechanical movements.
Hey, Farr + Swit. Yes Invicta is certainly a decent very affordable entry into the watch world. But it’s their growing empire that intrigues me. Thanks, brother. 👊
Hi Rich! That was a very carefully expressed opinion. I find much agreement in what you said. I avoid the brand only because of style; just not my taste. They DO sell watches that are in a much more "wrist friendly" size in overseas markets. Maybe they'll sell these in the States some day. We can only hope.
Invicta is a love/hate relationship for me. I hate their dinner plate watches and their shady marketing. However, their Pro Diver line is a good starting point for dive watches, automatic watches and watch mods for less than $100. They are not the best affordable brand, but they are far from the worst.
I confess, when you showed the 42mm Vintage Invicta on the screen, I went to go find one (sold out). Great video. I'm wearing a Pro Diver as I'm typing this comment.
People hate out of jealousy or envy or the need to because it makes them feel good, Invicta is a good brand and I have 200 and I feel good when I look at them. Isn't that what artists want you to feel when you see their work
I have one Invicta I probably bought it in 2005 or 2006 it is model number 5114 and it's probably the best watch they've ever made and definitely the prettiest and I wish I could find another one but I can't find that model number anywhere.
Thanks for the correction that some are indeed Swiss made. Years back they started stating Swiss Movement, or removing Swiss references entirely. I have a few with genuine sapphire, ETA movements, Selitta as well. Glad to see someone understands their success. Their lume still sucks and still some QC issues, but they still own the market on innovative designs at very low prices. As for watch size, tiny case lovers are just biased, lol. Lots of elite brands have large cases. Plenty of folks, myself included, can appreciate Invicta alongside other offerings, so it's not a case of either being a dedicated fan or a snobby hater. And many, like me, would rather spread fifty or sixty grand over a large range of watches, rather than only have two or five watches to wear. Among my several hundred watches, I have well over 30 different brands, from one time Micro releases, to Swatch Group brands, on up to Oris, Breitling, and more. Like a lot of watch enthusiasts, I started with Invicta and learned as I went along. Nice to see someone able to give credit where credit is due. Well done! 👍👍👍
Hi, 135i pocketrocket. Congrats on your enormous collection and appreciation for all kinds of watches. No point being a snob, right?! Thanks for appreciating and sharing. 👊
@@whatsonthewrist Yup, agreed, and this is one of the most refreshing looks at Invicta I've seen on YT. I actually nearly quit the hobby after running into ridiculous snobbery, years ago. Found a different forum to join, where members could appreciate all enthusiasts, and rediscovered my passion. So, never underestimate your impact, good sir. Honest, unbiased feedback for people trying to learn about watches makes a big difference, which makes your presentation even more valued. I remember getting a Seiko 5, having been told it was the "only" proper entry level automatic, and, geez, my Invictas, for nearly half the cost, cased up the same movement so much better. While their wilder watches get the most attention as a supposedly negative representation of the brand, they have a lot of very tame options as well. I've always raised the same issue to detractors, that, despite negativity within a small circle of people who'd like to think they represent the entire watch world, the reality of Invicta's ongoing business success certainly proves that they're doing something right, despite their imperfections. Again, great video!
Well said my friend..... Very unbiased. I have the utmost respect for Invicta, your platform, and you as a person. Invicta is for those looking to be defined not by how much they spend, but by how wisely they spend.....
I’m actually glad that Invicta had this sort of tainted reputation because it keeps the sheeple from paying too much for them and keeps it accessible for me...they make nice watches that would be many times more in price had another company tagged their brand on the dial...i’ve owned two Invictas myself and got rid of them but looking into their Swiss Made line if bot Swiss Movement is fine
whatsonthewrist i still love Rolex for many reasons personal to me, but you are correct about Invicta doing everything right...I’m super happy social media hadn’t hyped the brand so much as it keeps it nice and affordable for me...they have many interesting designs and the quality is outstanding for the price point...all tastes welcome...thanks for the honest review...looking forward to more..
MIKE TOM VLOGS I find some of their designs kinda cool. For me, my preference would be smaller than their popular 52-54mm. I’d also like to see more automatic movements, while keeping the prices reasonable.
whatsonthewrist i’m looking forward to them making more with automatic Swiss movements as well...they swing back and forth from using Swiss autos to changing similar models to lower grade Hattori quartz, Mid grade Ronda, and like you said NH35. The higher end Swiss autos sell out quick when they are introduced outfitted with one. They are fun for the most part and some have outstanding craftsmanship, but those are more in the $1,000 Swiss auto/sapphire crystal category. Personally, after having a Rolex and Omega I have gone years without owning an Invicta. I couldn’t find a reasons to replace what I truly love on wrist for a typical Invicta. Recently an interest sparked to wear something fun with designs emulating watches i could never afford.
I own the Victa 31490. It's a 46mm orange tachymeter pogue style watch. Slightly large enough to stand out. But the watch is incredibly striking as a ss orange dial watch. I started out with the Doxa orange at $2-3k and arrived at the Invicta orange. The watch undeniably takes several ques from the Seiko pogue but it is entirely it's own watch also. Comes with a decent ss bracelet and will also wear a olive canvas strap. It's a tool watch. One of their watches that arguably crosses over into the conventional watch world. And it will be out of production soon. A collector for sure.
I have a few watches Seiko, G Shock, an older basic Omega from the 70s, a glycine (Invicta owned) and three similar looking watches, An Omega Goldeneye Seamaster, a Citizen Promaster and an Invicta 22019, the Invicta is a beater, the others I wear for certain occasions, I love this particular Invicta (22019) because it doesn't have any of the (imo) obnoxious case engraving, but each to their own. But I can't fault the watch in any way and will definitely be buying more of them. Great video, very informative and entertaining, thanks!
I'm always reading about how poor Invicta quality is on forums etc, but I don't think these posts are being made by people who actually own Invicta watches. I agree that their marketing strategy and many of their models are rather tasteless, but I have been wearing Pro Divers since 2000 and they are great watches. I first bought an 8926OB because I couldn't afford a Submariner. When I finally owned a Submariner, I still wore my Invicta as a 'stunt double' for situations where it would not be prudent to wear a Rolex. That first one lasted ten years, and only died when my girlfriend at the time wore it in the bath with the crown pulled out. I immediately replaced it, and this one is still working perfectly another ten years later. I just bought the same watch in quartz to use as a 'beater', and the quality is great on that one too.
Very good video. I have many Invicta's in my collection. I also have a couple of Rolex's too. When I buy a new watch for my collection I am more interested in a new design and Invicta certainly offers variety.
I still own a very hard to find Invicta from 8 years ago. It's a hand-winder with a Sea-Gull ST-1901 chronograph movement. Retail price $900. My price $150. Price at Hodinkee when I sell it to them, $2,800!
I love my Pro Diver with the Seiko MH35 movement. The last time I set the time (against the Internet's atomic clock) was a full week ago. This morning, it's fast by 5 seconds. Even the mightly Rolex can only claim a best of +-2 seconds per DAY. I'm never gonna take this watch diving anyway, so the 200m vs. 300m depth rating is moot to me. So, for my purposes: 1) Style: every bit as good as the Rolex Submariner. 2) Function: every bit as good as a Seiko. 3) 1% the price of a Rollie. I'm not a watch guy. I just want my watch to be accurate (which it is), be durable, and look nice, without breaking my wallet.
@@whatsonthewrist Thanks. Indeed, even if I won the lottery, I wouldn't buy a Rolex. Why would I even want to? I would much rather spend those thousands on modding my car. haha
I agree with the statements you've used in this video. I've been a fan of Invicta since 2014 and I for one is not a big fan of the marketing strategies, but Invicta is in a realm within the overall watch community. In order for you to get a full grasp of the big picture of Invicta, come on a cruise. Other than that, this is an awesome video.
Hey, Trapvision 3D. I’m aware of you from both Shop HQ and Bulldog. Admittedly I enjoy their shows because they’re really well produced. They also shout you out with regularity. Congrats on your collection. Cheers and keep cruising. 👊
Yes and being able to put an automatic NH35 on your wrist for less than the initial $30 charge & 5 more payments under $20 is something everyone can afford. They also sell seiko & citizen watches. Ive bought the Turtle & the samurai on there 6 value pay. Its economically convenient. ⏰
whatsonthewrist most people dont realize they sell many watch brands on the evine HQ website. Just type in evine seiko or what ever brand and the selection is surprising. Tks for all your videos bro
Yes I’m aware. I made a video awhile back about some great deals and brands the home shopping network carries. I saw a platinum Ralph Lauren for super low. Not a watch that I’ve been eyeing but it’s platinum. Thanks, Carl. 👀
You are 100 per right. I considered the 1953, due to price and looks....but the idea of wearing an invicta.... In the end, I could never buy from them no matter how cheap.
While I will never own one Invicta ever: unless it's a vintage piece, I have never hate Invicta at all!. I have the impression that it's a very successful business, even more successful than watch brands that I love and respect, and that's something to recognize!. Also I respect more Invicta and its originality, than many brands that rely its success on "homages", brands that watch lovers tend to hype a lot just because they copied a Submariner and made it in Switzerland but hates the cheaper Invicta Submariners! Something that I will never understand!.
Such a great video. Like you said, so many people dispise Invicta but there is no denying they are extremely successful on the market right now. Don't hate the player right? Haha. I'm happy when people enjoy watches, whether they be invicta or otherwise. Thank you for the outlook Rich!
Hi, SWC! They really positioned themselves perfectly to sell a ton of watches while creating their community. Not my cup of tea but it is for a lot of others. Gotta respect their business model. Thanks, Josh. 👌
@@whatsonthewrist They really did! And yeah, they aren't for me personally either, but I can see the appeal. This really was a great video! I thoroughly enjoyed it👊
@SWC. It was originally longer but I had to edit it down. One segment I left out is I don't agree with the shopping network to refer to one of their models as a Grail. Granted a Rolex or an FP Journe, or Patek is not a grail for everyone but Invicta should be viewed as a grail to anyone. There is a world outside of Invicta for that.👊
Haha, I don't mind their Pro Diver line at all for the most part. My mother even has a quarts Pro Diver and a Speedway, she absolutely loves both and wears either or, 5 days a week. Back when it was still Evine I used to watch their Invicta shows as a guilty pleasure lol, I thought I was the only one!
Hi Rich. Excellent presentation!!! I have just one question for you.....where did you get your information on Invicta's "flame-fusion crystal." I ask because I have searched for information on this topic to understand the science behind the manufacturing of this product, only to find little to no information on this topic that would give me any specific answer??? Great job
Hey, Tara. Invicta’s flame fusion crystal is similar to what other brands refer to the crystal as mineral crystal (K1). It’s a hybrid crystal. Much of the info can be learned from Shop HQ and comparing that info. And thanks.
Watching those shows reminds me of watching Jerry Springer in the watch world BTW I've owned Rolex,Panerai, and Omega and I own several automatic Swiss made invictas. They are owned by the Lowen group which also makes Glycine.
Great video. I have some Invictas. I have found that their quartz watches are quite nice and the automatics are hit and miss. I like the fact that I can buy ten different Invicta watches of the same series, in different colors, for $30 each. It’s a lot of fun. I’ll add that 48 mm watches fit me just right. Having 11” hands makes it look right on me. The big watches attract me to Invicta.
Awesome topical video Rich! Amazing statistics. I can certainly appreciate what the do in the industry and there's a couple of pieces that I think are pretty good value (pro diver for example) but when a 47 mm watch is unisex...I just have to shake my head. Glad you tackled this divisive topic brotha! I apparantly have a ways to go with my collection to catch that guy with 1950 watches...life goals!😂👍🏻
Hey, meteorite16. Yeah their stats are truly amazing. They are a machine at selling. Their quality at ridiculously affordable prices will help with their longevity. But 1900 watches...wow. Invicta owes him a couple freebies for that loyalty. Thanks, John. 👊
I like vintage Invicta watch designs. I wish they would do a heritage line for us that do not care for the over-the-top watches that they produce. I currently own a prodiver and bought my friend a prodiver for his birthday. Great video!
Hi, Jeremy. I know what you mean. Congrats on your Pro Diver. It’s the model that relaunched the Invicta brand in 1991. It was nice of you to gift your friend one too. 👊👌
I have 1 Invicta I bought years ago. A Lupah Dragon Chronograph. Ronda movement. 43mm. I like it. There are a handful of Invicta automatics out there that would be pleasing to the eye. Are there some Invictas on my list to own? Na.
As a business, I admire them, as watches, not so much! Since I am not a brand snob, if they ever do make something I like at a price that is acceptable to me, I might give them a Chance, but for now, nope
I happen to own a rare Swiss-Made Invicta Pro Diver, and so far it's lasted for years now and that's all I need. Honestly, Invicta - a brand that never gets the full credit they deserve. Real sad they dont make similar models in quality anymore, thats sorta what ruined them.
THESE ARE SOME BEAUTIFUL WATCHES THEY MAKE SOME REALLY ORIGINAL LOOKING WELL PUT TOGETHER DETAILED WATCHES AND FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME W/O ALOTTA DOE THEY ARE PERFECT THANK GOD 4 THEM I DONT LIKE THERE PEACES THAT COMPETE WITH ROLLEX AND A.P I LIKE THER ORIGINAL DESIGNS VERY VERY MUCH I HAVE THE MODEL 31200 WITH GOLD AND BLACK FAVORITE WATCH EASLY
It's funny to me what people will call a big watch. I use to collect invicta and after them very few come close in terms of size. But the reason I stopped is you cant wear the majority of the watches year round. Very few could I do during winter but none of my big ones ... above 52mm. At one time I had over 55 but it bothered me I couldn't wear certain models under a long sleeve shirt. Now, I own a handful for personal reasons but dont wear them at all. The biggest in my rotation is the Bulova @ 45mm.
Hi, Njama. Interesting regarding some being only seasonal watches. I definitely can the super tall ones challenging to fit under a shirt sleeve. But at least you don’t have that issue with your SWC. I know you like that one. Thanks for sharing this. 👌
It is time to accept quartz movements as the standard for reliability, and accuracy and review mechanical watches the way you'd do a review for a candle in the modern world of LED lighting
Invicta dose make smaller conservative styles. It is part of their slim line and classic line. They have something for everyone. I own one, and i like it. It looks like the bolava, breitling surfboard. For the most part, im a seiko fan boy.
o.k. Dude I like you. Really thought out video. but there is one thing that Invicta is doing that no other watchmaker in history has ever done. they are making watches that are formatted for larger people. no other watch company has ever done that. not one. to me { I'm 6'7", 295 lbs with an 8.5 in wrist diameter}, that is amazing. To have a fine watch that is this kewl fit my wrist out of the box is amazing.. no expensive and quite frankly ugly alterations at the jewelers... show me a rolex that will fit my wrist without a horrible bracelet... no other watch company has the the guts to do this...I love my Invictas and my collection continues to grow.
Hi, sleeplessingc. Good point. I would add that in Invicta’s community, 48mm or 50mm is not targeted towards only larger wrists. It’s pretty much standard size for them. But it certainly is a good thing for those with larger wrists that share your experience.

I am just now seeing your video....excellent presentation! However, I assume you have since realized that your estimation of the investment a couple of Invicta collectors have made was off a decimal point? My personal investment is one....watch, that is...model #2176 Objet d' art, automatic with hand winding and hacking, 40 hr power reserve, date, and 24 hr windows, tonneau shaped...I absolutely love it...44 mm case. Only problem was 4 of the numbers fell off inside soon after purchasing it on Ebay. I had to have a jeweler reattach them on the beautiful white/silver etched dial. He only charged me $5/number. No regrets.
Hi, Michael. Yes I am aware of my math blunder. Your Objet d’ art has a unique and sharp look to it. I’m glad your issue with the markers was remedied. That’s rather unusual. Cheers, Michael. 👌
I’d start by reaching out to Invicta. It’s around the time new ownership took over, so they might keep those records since they are consistently bringing new models with some hints from past models.
Just ordered a Invicta bolt Zeus Reserve chronograph, Hypolish stainless steel," Swiss made" 14064 Synthetic sapphire crystal, Spent $399 to get it, And I feel it's worth every penny, I can't even find anymore of this particular modelThat is available online. I think I got the last one lol
They have a watch for $99 powered by Seiko NH38 and SAPPHIRE glass!!!! S1 Rally Maori Shark and Dragon Empire Open Heart model. No one can beat that!!! My bro in law has invicta that’s more than 10+ years and still ticking!!!!
Wow! I didn't know they were so big! I like knowing my watch has a real company behind it as apposed to those random accessorie no name watches on amazon
Excellent unbiased video! The best I have seen in regards to Invicta!
Hi, Ryan! That’s very kind of you to say. I appreciate it and thanks man. 👊
Ryan W yeah I like his unbiased reviews. I first was exposed to his reviews when he did the side by side comparisons of a Grand Seiko to a mid grade Seiko (i think the SARB?) I like the straightforward presentation and more facts than opinions.
Thanks, Mike. I appreciate that. 🙌

Ten Invictas in my collection and love them all. Thanks for the honesty.
Lots of truth here, nolebuc1.

They have plenty of ugly designs and weird quirks, but they also have a lot of fun, unique, and affordable designs. And I'm all about that.
True.
Respect to the CEO of Invicta. I remember when Puerto Rico had that hurricane, he personally flew there in his plane and donated supplies.
That’s a nice story to hear about someone. Thanks for sharing, Cappie Rising.

i tend to buy whatever really catches my eye.I am an invicta collector with 35 watches, but in total i have 100 watches with the other 65 watches being made by other manufacturers, Movado....etc. Invicta should make more smaller watches for men as I tend to go with watches between 42 and 48mm.

Sometimes yes regarding bundles, at least on Shop HQ.

Wow, Rich. a great comment!
Hi, Steven! Thank you and let’s see what happens. 👊

Congrats on an excellent objective video about Invicta.

Hi Rich! That was a very carefully expressed opinion. I find much agreement in what you said. I avoid the brand only because of style; just not my taste. They DO sell watches
that are in a much more "wrist friendly" size in overseas markets. Maybe they'll sell these in the States some day. We can only hope.
Hi, Jason. Yeah these large sized and designs are not for me but they sure sell a ton of watches. 👊 💰
Invicta is a love/hate relationship for me. I hate their dinner plate watches and their shady marketing. However, their Pro Diver line is a good starting point for dive watches, automatic watches and watch mods for less than $100. They are not the best affordable brand, but they are far from the worst.
Agreeably noted, Brandon. ✊🏼

@@whatsonthewrist never understood the hate for Invicta. People take other people's watch preferences so personally lol.

It’s great that you’re enjoying your collection. Continue to get what you want.

Invicta, I have quite a few, and have had one over 6 years still runs perfect, well made.
Hi, Rick. Congrats and continue to enjoy. 🤙
Hi, Tara. Well said by you. And thanks! 👌
Hi, OWL. Congrats on your collection. Doxa is also really nice and I’m glad your 31490 makes you happy. Thanks for sharing that. 👌
Congrats on your collection and for being open-minded, F1ach. 👌
Hi, ThePenultimateNinja. Lol “stunt double”. Congrats and enjoy. 👌
Very good video. I have many Invicta's in my collection. I also have a couple of Rolex's too. When I buy a new watch for my collection I am more interested in a new design and Invicta certainly offers variety.

So, for my purposes:
1) Style: every bit as good as the Rolex Submariner.
2) Function: every bit as good as a Seiko.
3) 1% the price of a Rollie.
I'm not a watch guy. I just want my watch to be accurate (which it is), be durable, and look nice, without breaking my wallet.
That’s great to hear. Continue to enjoy.
@@whatsonthewrist Thanks. Indeed, even if I won the lottery, I wouldn't buy a Rolex. Why would I even want to? I would much rather spend those thousands on modding my car. haha
@@MaplecookAnother nice option.
Own 3 all broke and sent 2 back to invicta and 3 months later 75 still didn't t work!! Look at there rating at the BBB is rated a F!!! INVICTA=JUNK!
SHOP H Q!!!! There junk!!! There customer service is the worst i ever dealt with!
Never had a problem with any of mine. Many years
Wish i could upload the pics
thank you for an awesome video. all good points
Hi, Roy. Excellent. And thank you. 👊
Hey, Carl. Absolutely that value pay makes it almost impossible to resist. Interest free and it’s not a layaway. Congrats on your purchases. 👊
whatsonthewrist most people dont realize they sell many watch brands on the evine HQ website.
Best of luck finding your next watch, A.
Good perspective, Eternal. 🤙
Hi, A-Wall. Very cool that your mom has more than one watch. Yeah it’s a great guilty pleasure show for sure. 🤙
And time will tell. Great non bias video.
Hi, Charles. Yep and thanks. 👊
Has invicta been accepted yet?
I don’t think they care as they still have their own following, Basement Gardener.
Excellent video.
Appreciate it. Thanks, Carlos Perdomo.
Funny reference to Jerry Springer.
I own a black Venom and i love it to bits such a awesome watch.
Hi, John. Congrats and your enthusiasm is obvious. Glad it’s been all that for you. 👌
Glad to hear that, K Ma. Continue to enjoy.
$30? Show us!
They have a heritage line
Great video !!!
Thank you,Texas Tackycal. 🤘
Got my Gold Rollie wanna be on with pride....I didn't like the BIG watches bcuz of my big wrist. But now the Rollie Homage Line is 🔥🔥🔥
Congrats on finding what works for you, Miyagi FatGhost. 🤙
I have 1 Invicta I bought years ago. A Lupah Dragon Chronograph. Ronda movement. 43mm. I like it. There are a handful of Invicta automatics out there that would be pleasing to the eye. Are there some Invictas on my list to own? Na.
Hey, Richard. The Lupah was actually the top selling watch from any brand when it was released. 👊
As a business, I admire them, as watches, not so much! Since I am not a brand snob, if they ever do make something I like at a price that is acceptable to me, I might give them a Chance, but for now, nope
I know what you mean, WG. Thanks, brother. 👌🤪
Wow!! Very nice video bro!! Down to earth, unbiased 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi, DTWARRIOR. Thank you. It was an overdue video. 👊
I happen to own a rare Swiss-Made Invicta Pro Diver, and so far it's lasted for years now and that's all I need. Honestly, Invicta - a brand that never gets the full credit they deserve. Real sad they dont make similar models in quality anymore, thats sorta what ruined them.
Today’s Invicta models are definitely different from where the brand started, E. D. Glad yours is serving you well.
Hi, FederalTracks. Congrats and continue to enjoy your 31200. 🤙
Accept it as what exactly?
Invicta dose make smaller conservative styles. It is part of their slim line and classic line. They have something for everyone. I own one, and i like it. It looks like the bolava, breitling surfboard. For the most part, im a seiko fan boy.
That’s good to hear. Continue and enjoy yours, Brian. And go Seiko.
Very well done video Rich. Some good info. Cheers 🍻
Hey, Samuel. Thanks brother. Cheers. 🍻 👊
I love my invicta pogue homage👍
Enjoy it and congrats, RP17.
As a owner of 6 Glycine's, vintage Airman, bronze combat sub etc. Just hope Invicta dosen't mess them up.
@Burdine. At least the Invicta Group also owns Glycine so you may be safe there.
I'm middle ground. Don't love don't hate.I had a Invicta speedway quartz for 6 years was fine. Gave it to a friend. Some pull above their weight some not.
Exactly right, Burdine. 🎯
@@whatsonthewrist great gang of reply. Quick. You stated the case brilliantly. Was notified of this video by f/b page Glycine watch collectors ( member I am) you earned a Subscriber in me. Stay well
@Burdine. Thank you. I appreciate ya. See ya around. 🙌
@@whatsonthewrist Do you know where I might find the specs on my 2176? I can't seem to find my paper on it...bought it about 20 yrs ago? Thanks.
I’d start by reaching out to Invicta. It’s around the time new ownership took over, so they might keep those records since they are consistently bringing new models with some hints from past models.
Just ordered a Invicta bolt Zeus Reserve chronograph, Hypolish stainless steel," Swiss made" 14064
Synthetic sapphire crystal, Spent $399 to get it, And I feel it's worth every penny, I can't even find anymore of this particular modelThat is available online. I think I got the last one lol
I can feel your excitement. Enjoy, Recumbent Revolution.
Great price for a watch that reliably tells time.
That’s certainly one way to see things, sewashburn0529.
They have a watch for $99 powered by Seiko NH38 and SAPPHIRE glass!!!! S1 Rally Maori Shark and Dragon Empire Open Heart model. No one can beat that!!! My bro in law has invicta that’s more than 10+ years and still ticking!!!!
Hey, Deo! For sure some of their deals are off the charts. Sounds like Invicta is working out for your bro in law. 👌
They make some beautiful watches that I can actually afford. I like the company.
That’s nice that you support them. Definitely affordable watches, Devon.
I love the Invicta Homage watches.
That’s great. Enjoy your collection, Mark. 🤙
I attracted with invicta but I can't afford..i want to have atleast 1 piece but I need to support my family first..hope to have invicta soon...
Yes family first, June.
Wow! I didn't know they were so big! I like knowing my watch has a real company behind it as apposed to those random accessorie no name watches on amazon
Hi, Nick. Yep The Invicta Group is a real player in the game. They also own Glycine and Technomarine.
@@whatsonthewrist wow! So cool that you replied! That's exciting! Your video was so informative and Interesting!
@Nick Gee. Thanks, brother. That’s very nice to hear. Enjoy your Invictas. 👊

That’s great to hear. Continue and enjoy, Christopher De Roma. 🤙
