So I've got a 2004.5 Chevy duramax. This Terrain diesel is super quiet at all speeds. I'm actually looking at it because I love diesels. My Chevy duramax has 1/2 million miles on it. No I'm not getting rid out it. But my mom and dad have health issues and cant get into my truck. So that's why I need a new vehicle and this is the one I'm getting. Cant wait to get it. Hope it lasts as long as my truck. Thank you for the review.
I'll tell you this. The only reason why I'm not getting both a truck and terrain today is because of something the terrain has that the trucks dont. Def in the fuel door.
I am super excited about this powertrain and the fuel economy is wonderful I cant wait to drive one myself my problem is that my local dealers do net seem to want to stock diesel engines on their lots
Scott Reaman we have 6 more on the way! It's worth the time to go out and drive it so you can see what I experienced for yourself! Thanks for tuning in hope this helps you.
So, it has been about 7 months since I posted this video! Have you seen one on the road or been in one yet? I want to know! I actually ended up buying one of these bad boys for my wife as a daily driver. Check out that video, you wont be disappointed!
Cody Reed I bought one last week, the SLE Diesel. So far, I’m happy with how it drives. I do miss the middle shifter but have taken to the button shifters no problem. It does shift faster there’s no denying that. I have not seen any of these on the road so far so I may be one of this model’s first owner in my area.
A diesel 1.6 engine with 252 horsepower isn't really bad, also Auto Start/Stop function on a diesel, never heard of that feature when it comes to a diesel engine i.e. Equinox Diesel also has this function, whilst the Cayenne Diesel, X3 28d, ML350 Bluetec don't have this feature.
Your mentioning of the backseat used to move back and forth by about 8 inches must be what they sacrificed when they made the car smaller by several inches and thus about 400 lbs lighter..
When you calculated your fuel economy, did you reset the trip odometer while you were on the highway, or did you include your city driving? That will make a big difference.
youtoobe169 I only reset it when leaving the dealership the first time. I’m anxious to do a follow up video on it, your right I was banging on it a little bit 😂
Gas mileage and diesel engine don't go together because gas is not used to power diesel engines, diesel fuel is. Rather you should say fuel economy when talking about diesel powered vehicles.
Lmao WTF is there to talk to about 80 % of the world uses tiny diesels with tons of torque. Over in Europe it is 90% diesel and no one gives a damn about gas engines as many can not afford Ferraris. I hate gas engines in North America as you get a 3.6L engine that is a piece of shit with no torque, it's a shame when you say you get a 3.6 L engine and a little tiny 1.4 TDI diesel pisses on that 3.6.
Wrong!! I have a Cruze TDI and it's advertised at 47 MPG, I get 48 AVERAGE. On the highway I get over 50 MPG at 80 MPH. It's not like a gasoline engine. Diesels usually exceed the advertised MPG.
ITS a Diesel its suppose to be loud. ITS fuel mileage on a diesel NOT gas mileage. The diesel is an additional cost. You will get and BEAT the EPA fuel milage on a diesel if you slow down
Hey Guys and Gals! The Terrain needs major work!!! See what’s happening here!! th-cam.com/video/zbT9a3B_fVU/w-d-xo.html
The noise is great, reminds you what you’re driving. Just that occasional base tone.
Can you disable the auto engine stop feature?
This video is kind of old but for this model the answer is no.
Really wish you could disable stop/start
how often do you need to add def fluid? diesel ok till you need to fix them.
It runs about an oil change

Tamer Mahmoud total bummer right? As I️ have been in these more I’m finding out much more and can’t wait to share.
Diesel is always more expensive in this country. I don't know what going on with That gas station you taking about with the same price as gasoline

Stop crying babies, you will get amazing mpg finally they bringing this super vehicles to the state.

John Brennan fast forward to 5:00 😬!

John Martinez facts.
You should say "fuel mileage" instead of "gas mileage"
You are right.

Danfuerth Gillis exactly why I bought the diesel.
Give inside view in a steady vehicle please
asif aslam I actually bought one of these for a personal vehicle. I’ll have a follow up video coming soon. Thanks for watching.
You will not achieve the advertised MPG driving 74mph. You would have to drive 55mph to be in the ballpark.
John S , I'm going to do a follow up video and go 55 just for kicks and giggles!
You should easily be able to get the 38 MPG at 74 MPH. When he got 30 in the video, it was because that included city driving and hard acceleration.
SRV. 123 😂😂😂😂😂
Highway here is 65mph so I should see great mpgs. I get 40mpgs in my Crosstrek going 65 with cruise control on.

You pay too much attention to the camera. You make me nervous seeing you drive
Is that a Cummins Diesel engine?
Must cruise at 69 miles per hour. Not 70 or more.
65mph this dork was doing almost 80mph
Dang! That saliva while your talking omfg!
Yo Stop haha
Diesel always is much higher than gasoline in PA
You are right, I work in WV and it is cheaper there for sure.
doesn't my GMC Terrain dude
that's a nice GMC Terrain dude
I don't want to be on the same road as you. Horrible driver!
1decee lol watch out!! Right lane driver here 💁🏼♂️
