As an adult improver without a coach this is solid gold with a cherry on top.

The irony is not lost on me. We need a 1 hour lesson with a coach in order to not need a coach!

    Thank you.
Very informative and helpful. I now feel equipped to start analyzing my games and embark on another path of chess improvement.

This had given me a A LOT OF IDEAS when it comes to annotating my games. The questions by Kostya of evaluations a move, which would serve as stuff to look at with the computer, really helpful tips.

    Really appreciate this!🙏
Being an old person & a beginner on a tight budget watching how to analyze independently is very useful (no chess coaches or chess club memberships in my future😂).

The great irony of this channel to date is that this video is coming from Kostya, and not Jesse.

Is it normal to analyze every game this deep? It seems like he is going through almost every move looking for multiple lines. I am only at 29:44 atm. When I have analyzed my games (which I admit I don’t do enough) I briefly go over it with an engine for maybe 3-5 minutes if that and then move on to something else whether that be another game, tactics, studying something, etc. Mind you I’m also very new to this.

In the beginning, the analysis won't be as intensive! Just getting started with analysis and taking time to annotate/actually write your notes down is the first step. Gradually, as you get better and get more experience, it'll get deeper and more involved.

@@ChessDojo I will definitely try to do it more then. Right now I am only really doing tactics so I’m sure it will help me a lot.

Question because you know so many chess players - objective question. I couldn't find them all but i have looked up on chessable some of the all time leaders on tactics problems. And then looked up their actual ratings. I haven't seen any huge rating jumps? Really on any course i was able to find the all time leaders (guys with legend status and millions of points)?

@@shaungraham-bowcaster7331 You need to focus your line of reasoning when asking questions. Otherwise you make your question too complex, prolific, confusing and hard to answer. Also: you are using the question mark '❓️' in a wrong way. I would advise you to listen (or read) to how people recognized for having good grammar ask questions and notice that when they want to make a complex question they say something like: "considering X, how do you see X + Y happening? " (notice that X and Y must have a crystal clear correlation between them.)

@@ChessDojo You definately meant analyze because annotating would be recording the moves in the game.

    • @ChessDojo
      @ChessDojo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

No that would be "to notate". Annotating a game means recording your thoughts and analysis afterwards 🙂

    • @IHWKR

You are analyzing the game just like every other video.🙃

    • @IHWKR

Just the fact you say recording thoughts and analysis meaning notating as in "taking notes"
