Additional videos on reviewing your own games include How to look up the game’s opening in a database ( th-cam.com/video/pZHxxMobHxY/w-d-xo.html) and How to use the engine to analyze a game ( th-cam.com/video/XsvUFlxWUIU/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/gTTG95FEn9s/w-d-xo.html)
Rewatching this excellent video, I noticed the tactic with SF's suggestion of 18.Nf5 rather than 18.Qf7 at 18:37 . SF suggests 18.Nf5 inviting Black to play a pawn fork 18...g6, which doesn't work after 19.Nxd7 as Black takes White's Q 19...gxh5 and 10.Nxc8--are all good for White. it's easy to visualize after SF shows it. But perhaps it's not quite that easy during a game. We find missed tactics in games, but then decide whether to save it for additional review/study, or admit it's too hard.
I always recommend your channel and your books to the improvers who ask for help on fb groups .......I may not be taking coaching directly from you but I consider you as my coach and try to follow the advice you give in the videos and the book AGTCI.....thank you Sir .
Thanks Dan. I also recommend your material all the time. Always sound advice. I remember fondly following your Q and A shows back in the day. You were a big help to my own improvement. Cheers!
Greatest improvement videos ever! (I just don't know any chess people yet because I haven't been to the club or OTB tournaments for so long... ) Perhaps these amazing videos need some clickbait (thumbnails and titles).
Thanks. I don't have one exclusively on that subject but several talk about the best ways to improve & discuss it, among others. th-cam.com/video/tHnzod3eruw/w-d-xo.html & th-cam.com/video/fg6UxAb3rw8/w-d-xo.html & th-cam.com/video/2hF4Owm2r54/w-d-xo.html. Also there is th-cam.com/video/p6-ExiKBo-A/w-d-xo.html.

Thanks, much appreciated. I had to think "AGTCI" = A Guide to Chess Improvement :)

Glad to be of service, thanks! My Q&A show on Chess.FM was "Ask the Renaissance Man" & my TV show on Chess.com was "Q&A with Coach Heisman"
Thank you, this is very helpful.
Glad to be of service. Hope you benefit from other videos at th-cam.com/users/danheismanchess :)

Yes, I hired a marketing firm and what you are seeing is their recommendations in that area.
I thought it said, "Ruining your own chess games" at first glance. 🤣
I don't think everyone needs my help on that. We can all ruin our own games without additional help :)
Hi Dan, could you please link me your video about how to read master games? (of course if there is one)
Thanks. I don't have one exclusively on that subject but several talk about the best ways to improve & discuss it, among others.
