The two months deposit is RIDICULOUS! One month is sufficient
Good area but these are high season rates for outdated decor, low rise condos, not on a baht bus route. Also no views. Need to be at least £5k cheaper. Thanks for the review, I am looking for a long term condo in this area from March.
Think that if those condo's were good value they would be full of Russians as Cosy beach was when we were there in January .. but interesting vlog.
We left Thailand in April 2022 and rents have obviously gone up substantially. We had an 83 square metre one bedroom, one bathroom condo with sea views in Soi 6 Pratumnak for 11,500 baht per month with a one-month security deposit. We had a balcony off the lounge and a second balcony off the bedroom. There was a great pool, small gym, a bar, and a restaurant on site. Much better value than these 2 condos.
Price and value is subjective to many different things (location, noise, view, size, amenities, furnished, building materials, serviced or not) Tons of people and demand is up. Covid rentals were artificially low and not the normal rate.
Why didn't you name the property? Then we could check the prices there now to get a real comparison.

I agree - bedroom without window is a nightmare - very bad concept
The monthly rates might be more acceptable without a two month plus current month initial fee. Personally, I like smaller deposits, no monthly contract for flexibility. I have been lucky to find in Bangkok, Pattaya and Jomtien.

I'll have to check these out when I arrive next month. Will be looking for a large condo, prefer to buy but would consider renting. My budget will be around $500,000 us dollars. Cheers and thanks for these kinds of videos. And both those ladies are super hot.
Those big nordic residence projects in Pratumnack with their signature large balconies are what draws me to them , they are slightly older properties , but with that you gain the larger rooms . The disappointing thing really was the internal bedrooms with no balcony , definitely not for me on that basis . On a different subject though , i was drawn to Vee s " Welcome " ...... is it just me , or what ...... after shedding tens of thousands of baht on ladies in pattaya over the years ( like most guys ) finally seeing an intelligent woman is refreshing ..... the new lady was great too ..... and provided good commentary ....... but theres only room for one lady in my heart and that is Vee 55555 .

Thanks for sharing Daz, I liked the spacious showers and pool area, but the units themselves seem strangely laid out, ie no windows in the bedrooms for natural light, and given what you've shown us in the past, these condos are on the pricey side, best part of £600 per month and have to pay 2 months deposit, not really feeling that to be honest as this would be a chunk of money better spent on my living/lifestyle expenses, regards from England 🍺🍺👍
For $ 635 dollars a month it should have a huge shower ! Really wish you would show some more affordable units. Most retirees aren't going to have this kind of money to spend on rent, and still enjoy Thailand.

I stay there and highly recommend it, the pool is amazing as are the gardens 18:46
both condos were really nice and big. the rental is a little steep, but look what you get though. the pool is a great asset, not so much for the small gym. the total amount due at rental is steep, would only give one and one. location is pretty good for daytime and nighttime enjoyment, and close to the beach. love the large balcony's. but wish the balcony was off the bedroom for that coffee in the morning.

I don't know about location but this is exactly what I am looking for. LARGE 1BR. Nice kitchen. Beautiful pool area. I prefer the second room for its better couch. Nice balcony big roomy enough to have breakfast on it. Missing a tub for splashing with your girlfriend. Dark bedroom makes it easy to sleep during the day.

I like the first apartment better than the second apartment because of the extra space. The first apartment didn’t have a good balcony view so I think the price should be just a little bit lower for rent. Absolutely don’t like the darkness of the hallways.

Good video, I preferred the 2nd condo much cosier and the fridge/freezer was in the kitchen area rather than off to one side. I wasn’t keen on the bossier lady, I think these sort of videos work best with just one person showing the condo.

Since covid finished, nearly all condos are back to longer term only unless you use Airbnb.

Thanks for sharing. For my personal "taste" they do not have real appeal. The pool is nice, really. And the most attractive is the space. But bedrooms without window seems depressing and overall the condos seemed rather "old" for that price range. but again, this might come with the space they offer. Everyone has to find his personal "fit". So I hope everyone finds one for himself. And all the best and merry christmas for you.
Prices seem to have really skyrocketed lately. Places like these used to be about half the price a couple years ago.
Yes, mainly because it is coming into high-season. Inquire in March, and should come down quite a bit.
I’ve never been to Thailand and plan to visit for two weeks in a year or two but after my first visit and after I retire for good, I want to go for a month. How difficult is it to find a one or two bedroom nice/luxury condo to rent in Bangkok, Pattaya or Phuket for $800-$1500 for the month? Any suggestions or advice for someone who’s never been to Thailand?
In reality there are condos and "condos". I've been here in Brazil saving money for a year and a half for this long-awaited trip to Pattaya. But it's looking like too long a bridge building, with these constant price increases. When I put the last board on the second bank, the boards on the first bank have already started to rot. For us Brazilians, as for all South American people, the difficulty starts with the prohibitive price of airline tickets. Even if we're from the middle class, if we want to enjoy this paradise, we'll have to stay in a special "condo": a hostel, like many other backpackers.
Seems all the condo rents are rising now, managed to keep my rent at 10,000baht a month for another year. Probably my landlord will want more next year! Those prices are way more than they used to be!
In the second condo, the bedroom is too small and has no window. I get claustrophobic with no window in a bedroom.
Nice enough but hate the bedroom..no windows or balcony so for me I think too expensive for what you get.

You should include villas and houses too, preferably with pools, widen your choices for your viewers, possibly not just rental but also purchase as then people will know what is available and for how much.

Another find which shows how there are quality apartments for rent at very low rates dotted all over the area. I liked the pool at this condo. Quiet with birdsong, and yet not that far from a lively night out when you want it.

@Tnolinkv Depends where you are in Spain. Same with Portugal, where I have a place. In Lagos, the rents have gone through the roof. Way more expensive than Pattaya.

Just wondering! If you have accommodation with no pool where can you go to swim!(not including the beach) Either for free or small fee? I know you can basically walk into most accommodation and use their pool without being questioned!
The rent is too high in the first condo. The bedroom doesn't have a window. That's a dealbreaker for me.
Personally I am very interested in seeing more expensive units.

Bottled water is sooo cheap that it's not worth bothering with a filter IMO.
No you can't drink tap water unless you boil it, as I do every day in a kettle to make Tea.

I have a question... I have a couple of hotels on my list, but before I book would it be better to spend New Years Eve in Bangkok or in Pattaya? I want to enjoy my stay in Thailand next week to the fullest. Since this visit is relatively short I'm staying in a hotel, but I fully appreciate these videos showing what is available for future longer stays.

The place which is the busiest is Soi Buakhao, Tree town, Pothole area, most of the rest of Pattaya is not busy at all, even though it is Christmas, Walking Street is also busy, but crazy prices.

In the US, a bedroom should have a window to be considered a bedroom. These 2 condos do not and the floor plans seems strange to me.

When they say 2 months deposit. Do they mean 2 months rent, plus the first month? So you have to come up with 66000 baht?

My agent said that's its against the law to charge two months deposit, not sure if that correct but I paid him 12,000 baht total to move into my studio. The two apartments were very nice but I thought that they were expensive for something with a bedroom with no widow, an uninviting gym plus the layout didn't seem very homely (Whatever that means)
It's only against the law if the owner has more than 5 condos to rent, so 5 are in the owners name and 5 in his wife's name and 5 are in his son's name etc etc. LOL
