Your pharmacy description of the West is spot on, in Australia its hard to see a Doctor and all you want is a script for standard cholesterol pills and pay $75 dollars for the script and then pay for pills at chemist who will only issue via a script. The Doctor justifies the cost by giving you a blood pressure test, its a total ripoff. I went to a pharmacy on Pattaya Klang, the chemist spoke great english I mentioned the muscle strain that I got from a Thai massage and he prescribed me anti inflammatory tablets, which fixed the problem with one tablet. Great video Daz.
some people can just about eat anything and be fine while others get sick very quickly. Once you know what camp you fall into you need to adjust accordingly.
Excellent video, Daz! Great to see a chill village outside of Pattaya. Terrific advice - thank you for preparing this, well done! - Mark O, U.S. East coast.
Good advice on the street food Daz. Common sense precautions (especially with seafood) can really make a mile of difference. I have never gotten sick either, but my friend did get pretty sick two years ago eating some street food on a side Soi on Walking Street.
Beautiful video. These vendors let the uncooked meat sit out for hours while the flies regurgitate their poison on the surface of the uncovered meat. Hygiene about street food is minimal and no regulations are enforced. Meat left out in hot temperatures is already decomposing.
Good afternoon mate. I went to my new doctor's surgery last week. I was told 4-6 weeks for an appointment. Absolute joke. Thanks very much for the information.
Good video and info Da. Yes Always buy from a food vendor that is cooking the food or can reheat and cook it more for you. I would advise against a vendor that is just displaying cooked food !!
Hello Daz, it is a nuisance in the UK. I came back from Pattaya in 2018,. I cam back with a very irritating infection that I knew could be cleared up with antibiotics in 2 days. Anyway when hearing of the palaver I would have to go thru, I consulted with a doctor online. then trotted off to my local chemists to pick it up. Total cost 120 pounds. It got the job done. such a silly process
You have to be careful of cuts and scrapes in Thailand as it's a hot country and the germs are different to what your body is used to so what your body would easily shrug off in the UK or the West can turn deadly serious if you just ignore it. I always keep a supply of Amoxycillin which is a powerful broad spectrum penicillin antibiotic for emergencies although it's better to just get to a hospital and a doctor. The hospitals are great in Thailand and much better than the UK even if you have to pay
I really enjoy your videos and every tip you share with us. But I want to say that although I have been coming to Thailand since 2016 regularly, it doesn't matter what visa you have. It is at the discretion of the immigration officer at the airport whether they want to allow you to enter Thailand. And it depends on the immigration officer at the immigration office whether he will send you to pack your luggage.Don't take your entry to Thailand and your stay here for granted
Great video. I vape. I know all the locals vape, but I was always careful no policeman where around. Because foreigners are treated differently. Pork products. In particular, pork mince is best avoided. You can't go wrong with beef. Or a 7/11 toastie.
I've just had gout and joint inflammation in chaiyaphum. All tablets over the counter, blood test and meds 360bht. Can even buy diazepam in alot or pharmacy's
Always like your videos, I have a question. I am planning on coming in November with my buddy. He married a ladyboy there, don’t get me started on that. Anyways I am a scuba diver and plan to go diving while I am there. Is there a big shark issue there? In Florida it’s been crazy how many people are getting bitten and killed by sharks. How is it there?
To my knowledge there have been no shark attacks near Pattaya, maybe because very few people go diving here as there is nothing except a sandy sea floor to see. All the divers go to Ko Tao further south near Ko Samui
Thank you! It will be nice to hear your opinion about different parts of Pattaya(north, central, south). I heard that Jomtien is full of Russian/Indian people and is no so attractive as before. Can you maybe do video about plusses and minuses of each part?
My condo here is probably 98% Russian. But the area is generally quieter than Pattaya. Not a ton of Indians in Jomtien, lots of Indian businesses in Pratamnak and South Pattaya. I mean year rounders- not tourists. Never got sick from street food here. I will likely move to Hua Hin when my lease expires, as I don't drink, they have a longer, quiet beach, less traffic, and walkable sidewalks.
I first went to Thailand over 24 years ago and all my travels I have never got food poisoning and never had bad food only once and that was buying pork to take home it was rotten stunk in a market in Issan
Hey there- great content. Coming in July and my wife's family coming from China. Renting a house that has a BBQ. My wife is begging me to cook her family an 'American Style' Steak. Is there a good, quality meat market/grocery where I can find high quality beef such as New York Strip Loins or Ribeyes?
Hello Daz, just a quick off the cuff question, as you know Thailand now doing 60day visa on arrival, with this in mind can you do a border cross by land then get another 60 days with a 30 day extension?
Never ever had an issue with street food since I’ve been here , & yes cooked there & then is best . Re meds most are available & so much cheaper than the uk 🇬🇧 without waiting days to get an appointment to see a dr first .. 😅🙄 & sully prescription charges of approx £10
you see so many street food vendors on here ,with cooked food sitting in the sun ,and raw food with no ice.not for me thanks.....a question where do the get their meat from?for steaks,Macaas etc?
I brought ecigs in my luggage, no issues at all. I've also heard "adult toys" are illegal but I don't know how often it's enforced...I laughed when i saw the news a while ago "Chinese thai couple arrested for possessing 18,000 adult toys" 😂😂
be discreet vaping when out and about, I wasn't 1 morning and I got shouted at by some random thai man. I apologised to him and put it in my pocket which he accepted and all was good
I was able to buy blood pressure pills in thailand at the pharmacies without a prescription. (I dont know I dont take any narcotics).

I ate some warmed-up shrimp about 15 years ago... Thought I was going to die!! After that, I learned to watch them cook it...😁😁😁😁😁
I love your work. I'm buying a condo in Siracha soon and moving there in January. Claudio has been a terrific man to be friends with.
Thanks Buddy.

And Happy Birthday again 🙏😀
Samaesan (near Utapao and ~30minutes from Jomtien) is another great fishing village as well! Great views of islands, etc. Brilliant!
Thanks for the tips!
