Hi Prissy!!! Your Apple Butter looks really delish. I would like to make that one day...YUMS!!! I'm going to give my Daughter your recipe. We never put meat in out dressing. I have never tasted any with meat in it ever. Sounds interesting...Thats good you are doing all this before your procedure. Are you getting nervous??? Thanks for showing us all these recipes today. Take Care...Nice Video!!!...🦋
Hi, my friend! I hope you are doing well!! Yeah, I am nervous, anxious, excited, a little scared. You name it and I'm going through it. 😆 I don't know if you know this, but I'm an RN. So while I know what to expect, I've never experienced it myself. Plus, I'm a terrible patient. 😆 My husband and my daughter are dreading having to do my aftercare. 😂I'm going to have 3 drains they'll have to help me with if I'm unable to strip them myself.... help me bathe, wash my hair, etc. I don't think I'll need any help in the restroom as we luckily have a bidet. I'll be cut from my breast bone straight down to my pubic bone, so one drain there... then across from hip to hip with a drain on each side... total of just 3, hopefully. Sorry if all this was TMI. It's gonna be a booger of a surgery and recovery. But I just keep telling myself that by summer I'll be so happy I did it. Yes, we've always put meat in our dressing. Mama made chicken and dressing mostly but sometimes she'd make it with leftover ham, like from Easter. I did make a deep dish pie pan plain for Ashlee and put it in the freezer. It's made with chicken stock but I didn't put the cut-up chicken in that one for her. She eats chicken just fine but cannot tolerate pork or beef. She has terrible IBS and fats give her so much trouble. She mainly sticks to fish, shrimp, and chicken. Im going to make sweet potato casserole today but I'm leaving the topping off. Ash will need to make it on Thanksgiving day. It's a cramel praline topping and I don't think that would freeze and reheat very well. I kind of wish I had waited to have surgery in January because I love the holidays, all the cooking and baking... but I've met my deductible and it will be more cost-effective to get it done before the end of the year. Thanks for watching my videos and commenting. It's so nice to hear from you! Take care!!!
