Hello guys! In this video, I share the completion of my ombre crochet shawl with a surprise closure. I love it!
As soon as I finish a project, I need to have another one started, so I went to Joannes to get more yarn. My autistic daughter Lana accompanied me and shopped for Halloween projects to paint. For newcomers, Lana has autism.
My new project is a half hexagon shawl (link below), with a heavier yarn then I realized. So I’m gonna shelf that one until later in the year. I’m still doing a half hexagon show but a lighter yarn and a beautiful blend of greens.

Double Crochet in same stitch
(There should be two double crochets at the beginning and end of your row, they act as your increase to grow your shawl’s size)
I was gifted a little purple coneflower seed starter kit, so I got that planted and in set up in a bright window to bloom. I don’t often play with seeds, so I’m curious to see if I have any luck with this.
The maintenance crew came by and cleaned up all the old brush behind my place. They took down some dead trees as well. It looks beautiful!
And this video closes with me makeing my way out to the garden to do some weeding before heavy storms come.
And Jack the cat, my garden cat, makes another guest appearance! LOVE!
