Interesting. But of course it prompts the question: How did they do it before? If apocalypses are so frequent that you need an entire agency to prevent them all the time, why has the world not ended long before the time travel technology was invented? Have there been oracles and seers in the past, employed by secret societies who did the same work?
Or maybe the creation of the time technology created a reactionary temporal anomaly? Kinda like how supervillains rose up after certain heroes came about, or vice versa?
On one hand, I'm on the east coast so I'd fare a little better, but I'm painfully aware that I'm barely compatible with life as it is. I wouldn't do well in any post-apocalyptic situation, so have fun without me! 😅
what a wickedly confusing situation would that be To make the hard decision that leads us to becone what we can only hope to be, while simultaneously condemning millions, if not billions to death. Wow. Great story. Cheers, Lee.
This was a really interesting twist on these types of stories, great work! Normally I stay away from anything under 45 minutes or so since they seemed rushed, but this one was just right.
To be fair there is value to shorter stories, you don't always have the time for hour-plus stories. Well-written ones like this capitalize on the shorter nature of it, so things don't get rushed.
Sky Marshall Diennes: We must meet this threat with our valor, our blood, indeed with our very lives to ensure that human civilization, not insect, dominates this galaxy now and always!
Wow - what an ethical dilemma for someone to face. Spoilers: I don’t think most people would doom the people of the next few hundred years to allow the possibility of a “paradise” many generations in the future. Do the ends justify the means in this case?
I love when people are naive enough to think a “shared human hardship” will bring people together. lol yeah it will: under a dictatorship. Human beings are fallen people in a fallen world; we won’t ever live as one until Christ establishes his millennial kingdom. What we should work for though, is finding ways to exist together, making peace between each other.
What the heck is going on with all you story readers? You all are putting out reruns the last couple or so days. I need a new story to get me through work 😩😩 lol
“The most thankless f’ing job in the world”
Man did that resonate in the first minute
Deep. And dark. Dark. And deep. 😕
Welp, guess I gotta buy pallets of bug spray
😱 Me too, I'm in Reno!
Ouch, that's dark.
This was awesome. All of your stories are awesome. But I really REALLY would appreciate more Hollow's End. 😁
Working on it! 😁
Interesting.

@@L-Invictus5775 That's what I also considered. That this technology somehow causes apocalypses, but I wouldn't know how.
Or maybe time itself is trying to use Apocalypses to kill off extra timelines.

6:53 gave me a good laugh. Kinda reminds me of some of the idiots in our world creating havock😂
I’ve never heard a better psychopath story.
Thank you so very much Jordan. 😊

The beginning of hell divers, FOR DEMOCRACY!!!!!
Brooo, was gonna ask if this story was the prequel to helldivers 😂
Sky Marshall Diennes: We must meet this threat with our valor, our blood, indeed with our very lives to ensure that human civilization, not insect, dominates this galaxy now and always!
I live in Reno, I'm not afraid of any bugs boom stick time, I Blame sparks water treatment plant.
Interesting it won’t let me “like” the story? It says “internal error… count exceeded”
Stuck at 305 … it rolls to 306 and rolls back.
That was great!
So this guy was AI?.. This was a good one!
Star Trek had a similar beginning.
Hey this makes the game helldivers training for our future as super earth
Boy oh boy. The future is definitely scary, not knowing what lies ahead. Anybody else see a huge swarm in the sky?
It's just a flock of birds... I think...I hope :3
What about the electronic fly swatter ?
Dr. Joseph Hann
This sounds goood.
❤👋
😢 Thanks?
I guess this program wasn’t working when it involved Trump getting elected…

Well, Thanks, I guess.. would be nice if there wasn't an apocalypse event needed..but I guess that's impossible due to humans being humans.. 🐜🦗🪲🪰
Umm... not sure about the more and more frequent f bombs... 🫤
