229 dollars in us. Mine are on order after this video. Already have the the mid bass ! Can’t wait
Loving the very detailed videos keep up the good work
Love the videos. I know it's hard to do a shootout, but a mid bass driver and tweeter shootout would be nice too.
Great review. I agree with you 100%. The more you EQ the more you'll love them!
I'm considering buying a complete 3 way stage and subwoofer from them in my next build.
That would be a very good kit,I am going that way myself.
Of course this video comes out after I imported a pair of Satori MW13TX-4’s from the UK, BNIB. Hmmm, now I am rethinking my rethinking, of my rethinking, of my stereo. I may shelve the Satori’s for my “Noice” car.
😂😂🤝💪
😂😂🤝💪
Satori will serve you very well😉
Looks like the exact same box I received from a gentleman in Las Vegas yesterday. 😊
They are $229 in the states. They say they are their entry level, which is great that they sound so good. I only have a true 50w per channel so the added sensitivity would be nice.
One issue is that I listen to a lot of streaming music over Bluetooth or direct connected. I think most of us do. I don’t want to only like them when I’m listening to reference quality material.
The way you described these speakers as being very articulate and “unfriendly”, especially for poorly mastered metal music, is exactly how I would describe my Audio Frog GB40’s. I have them installed almost as exactly as you in the dash. They’re no where near as sensitive as the one audio but they are very detailed sounding speakers.
I mainly listen to metal and it’s very frustrating trying to get the AF’s to sound good with that kind of music. Like you said, a lot of it is poorly mastered compared with other types of music and the AF’s really show it. Any suggestions that’ll help me is much appreciated.
Jl audio in the box !!!
Love that attenuation knob in the center armrest area... Mind spilling the beans on what/where to be looking for it?
That is a Helix DSP controller called conductor. You can use it only with Helix and Match products.
@@RAW-CAt While it's not compatible with my ESX, it gave me an idea for something similar. My thanks for the reply.
Hey Mr Cat, I have been looking for a good mid/tweet combo for a while and the One Audio has come on my radar before so finally pulled the plug and got both the T28.e tweeter and the WB3.e, the tweeter come with some nice braided leads already attached but the wideband come with just a set of deans plugs.
How did you attached your speaker leads to the mid? I am guessing soldered as the terminals on the wideband are super small.
Soldering is not my best skill to be fair.
Great vids as always.
Unfortunately with those soldering is the only way.
@@RAW-CAt I feared so, oh well excuse to brush on the skill, the mids came with XT60H(the one with the little covers on so you don't need to shrinkwrap but i will do so anyways), will likely run XT60h's through out in the new build.
Thanks for the Reply.
I was on the fence with those drivers because they just came out when I was buying my equipment; I went with Morel MW4 instead. Maybe I should have went with the OA instead. I have a similar tilted dash corner install.
What's in the box!?! (Se7en movie reference)
I'm guessing a new front sub to keep up with your front stage.
So close. In the box there are a pair of 8in drivers😉
Have you heard the CDT Unity 8.0? Seems many like those or the Audio Frog equivalent in pods at the windshield.
Unfortunately CDT is not available in the UK. And no one will send me anything from the US.
@@RAW-CAtI have a pair of CDT Unity8’s. If shipping isn’t ridiculous I could send them to you.
@@gonzoe123 unfortunately shipping is ridiculous..
When will you give a demo of the song with the sound results in your car?😊😊😊
Not gonna happen... YT demos are pointless in my opinion.
What head unit are you using?
Joying. Watch a few videos back, I have a review, distortion measurements and tuning with it.
Damn it almost gives me the idea to swap my flax mids with those haha
Do it!!!
Hello,
I was trying to decide between Scanspeak 10m vs 10f for my car Center Channel and crossing the midrange at 2500 to pair it with Mundorf AMT U60w1.1.
I want to hear every detail possible.
Now you have come up with this video on One Audio midrange.
Now I'm scratching my head on what speaker to select.
Could you pls help me.
Scan for ultimate detail, OA for output.
@@RAW-CAt
Thank you.
Would you suggest me to go with Scan Speak 10m or 10f.
@@rajasekhar9840 I personally prefer the look of 10F.
@@RAW-CAt
Thank you
Dude I’m about to pair those mids with a pair of Steven’s SA1 tweeters.. do u think the Steven’s will be able to keep up? Also running two w6 12’s sealed .. u think I’ll find balance in that setup?
Should be fine. You will have to EQ these mids down a bit. So after that they should match with the tweeters nicely👍
I just got some AMTs as well.
Did you get the one audio midbass drivers as well?
Maaaaaybe🙃
@@RAW-CAt Pull the t/s and see how they compare to published specs. Ive heard goood things about them.
I prefer the GR Research LGK 3 inch. You can hear sound demo on New Record Day channel.
How did you make those baffles?
What baffles exactly do you mean?
@@RAW-CAtthe mid range baffles in the corners of the dash.
@@HereticHulkthe dash is cut and the speaker rings bonded. You can find a video build log from last summer when I documented the whole process.
@@RAW-CAtthanks!
Stevens Audio MB-8s in the box?
So close. Would be cool though😉
@@RAW-CAt oh looks like One Audio has 8s so probably those to match. I've got the Stevens in my BMW and really like them, although response above ~150 is severely hampered by the under seat location which is a bummer.
8 inches and 3kg? Its a nuclear submarine. This was too easy to guess 😂
I wonder how the One audio 8" will fit in your kicks.
Choppy choppy😂😂
@@RAW-CAt but they sound amazing lol . I have them in the doors of my Volvo .
@@solow9707:30 in the video I'm guessing he has a box from one audio with the 8s.
I'll stick to Alpine and Infinity😅
Very similar measurements to the m3 carbon by SI. Probably made by same buildhouse in china.
Maybe. Or maybe both companies had a very similar goal when designing the drivers?
I'm a metal head mostly, I'm curious, not being a smart@$$, what metal albums have you tested to state that they're poorly mastered.
Audio engineers like Bob Rock take pride in good audio recording.
A lot of metal lacks bass extension below 100hz. As an example if you have a system that plays down low play Take The Power Back by RATM then play Master Of Puppets by Metallica. That's an extreme case most other metal is somewhere in between, though a lot of newer stuff has gotten very good, Bad Omens, I Prevail, Sleep Token but they are the exception. Not an engineer just enjoy my bass.
@vipercrazy9910 I see your point in the comparison, and yes, that is an extreme as MoP was recorded in the early/mid 80's where there wasn't much low extension bass in recordings period.
Korn in the 90's broke that for metal, followed a few years later by Chimaira. Today's metal bands, as you've noticed by pointing out a few, has more low end bass incorporated into their music. But in fairness, low end extension/bass in general doesn't make it a well recorded/mastered/SQ album.
I urge you to play some Chimaira, Gideon, King810 or Lorna Shore if you haven't.
