*UPDATE: March 2, 2023 - The unexpected early reveal of Wave 4* Well lads, it was fun while it lasted. 5 out of 8 courses isn't too bad. I still believe I made the most educated guesses concerning Wave 4, although there was really about a 50/50 chance of Waluigi Stadium showing up. I'm less than thrilled about DS Mario Circuit, despite it being one of the best Mario Circuits in the series, and I'm very worried about what this means for Airship Fortress. I'm also taking Wave 4 as full admission that the leaked prefix order - at least in regards to the retro tracks - is more likely to be mixed up within a given wave than not, and that not even the prefetch course spots are set in stone. I'm planning on making predictions for both Wave 5 and Wave 6 when the time comes, although I'm still figuring everything out at the moment. *Minor update: March 5, 2023:* For anyone interested, here's my initial readjusted prediction for waves 5 and 6: drive.google.com/file/d/1c9c7BO24w82_K5vwwBOtb9CiH3ljhjPt/view?usp=sharing This is entirely subject to change depending on how things look throughout the following months. For me, the main toss-ups here are whether we'll be getting Mushroom Bridge or Mushroom City, and whether or not Vancouver will be moved to Wave 5. *The original pinned comment:* Various things that I feel the need to point out: 1. I'm entirely aware of the technical screw-ups in this video, namely the Sunset Wilds music beginning way too early and the split-second Peach jumpscares. However, I didn't have much of a choice but to rush this video out the door before the beginning of the 2023 Doctor Tour and the subsequent datamining, just so my prediction would be relevant for at least a day before any datamining revelations might have made it obsolete. (Although as it turns out, the Doctor Tour datamining didn't actually reveal anything that would affect my course predictions.) 2. Production on this video began shortly before the DS Mario Circuit discourse was spawned, hence why the segment for the Wave 4 DS course doesn't acknowledge the possibility of that track being included. I could have gone back later in production and changed my argument to accommodate the Mario Circuit discourse, but I just find the notion of DS Mario Circuit making it in over Airship Fortress too ridiculous to even humor. *UPDATE: What a massive, embarrassing L, good god* 3. Production on this video began prior to the reveal of Piranha Plant Cove as well, and if anyone is interested in seeing what my initial prediction was before the MobOR situation threw us for a complete loop, then you can see it right here: ibb.co/zbTYzS8
@@spongeness It's those split-second frames of the Peach/Shy Guy image for the Exploration Tour that pop up several times during the segment where I'm explaining the MobOR/Piranha Plant Cove situation. Random, split-second flashes showing deleted bits of footage are a common problem in Windows Movie Maker, something which should probably signal to me that I need to stop making my videos with low-end software from fifteen years ago.
@@joceandbri06 I've seen it. It _would_ be a massive revelation that puts the entire Bridge vs. City debate to an end, if not for the fact that something completely unexpected happened. When Bridge was leaked by an insider a few days ago, we additionally got confirmation from Polley001 (one of the head Tour dataminers) that a new course has appeared in the ID gap for GCN tracks, which previously only contained Mushroom Bridge and Waluigi Stadium. We don't know exactly what this new GCN course could be at the moment, but interestingly it seems to have started development during the BCP era, much like Wii Rainbow Road and SNES Bowser Castle 3. We'll have to wait for the ID updates on Wednesday to get a better idea of what this unknown GCN course will be. As I see it, Bridge is not at all guaranteed for the BCP assuming we could potentially get something like Mushroom City in the future, assuming the location of the ID gap for this mystery GCN track suggests such.
Same, especially when he talked about how the DK track could actually be a new rendition of Bowser's Castle. At the same time ... Two nitro Bowser's Castle tracks in one game...
@@alexerickson5401 I'm not envisioning MobDK as a Bowser's Castle so much as a track that happens to be themed somewhat around Bowser. My "Dark Kingdom" course is like a wasteland of twisted rock formations and ruined gothic architecture, with the occasional lava crevice and geyser. When I mentioned "Bowser iconography," what I had in mind were things like banners with his emblem on them, airships here and there, and all the spectators being Bowser's troops.
This is by far the Best prediction Ever. I do have Suspicions that Either Yoshi Desert Or Cheep Cheep Island could replace Riverside Park, I also think there won’t be a Zoo Track but hey that’s just me this was well made. Edit: Congrats on a new sub
These predictions of yours are amazing. I’m hoping for Rio de Janeiro to come to Mario Kart Tour. Anyway, if the D stood for Dokan, and the K stood for Kingdom, then MobDK being a pipe themed course would be a logical guess.
Wave 5; Feather Cup: Tour Madrid Esplanade GCN Daisy Cruiser SNES Bowser’s Castle 2 Tour Los Angeles Laps Cherry Cup: Tour Athens Avenue GCN Mushroom City Wii Koopa Cape Piranha Plant Cove Wave 6; Acorn Cup: Tour Vancouver Velocity GBA Sunset Wilds GCN DK Mountain Whirlpool Washaway (MobBR) Spiny Cup: Tour Cairo Crossway/Rio Rumble 3DS Bowser’s Castle Which Way Warp Zone (MobDK) Wii Rainbow Road Reasoning for each: Madrid Esplanade: There is a track datamined to be in Tour called MobMD and Spain are known for their festivals in the summer so why not place Madrid in Wave 5. Daisy Cruiser: There are no Daisy tracks in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and out of the 3 Daisy tracks in the Mario Kart Series, this has more chances because it doesn’t have a similar theme to any other course in the Series and it’s one of the more likely GCN tracks to make it in. Bowser Castle 2: It’s one of the more underrated SNES courses, and the Feather was introduced in this game. So why not place a SNES track in the Feather Cup, and it’s better if it’s Bowser Castle 2 because it has a troll gap which could be used as a feather jump or at the very least, introduce a ramp or Kanaami Road there. Plus there are literally no Bowser Castle courses in Mario Kart 8 besides the Nitro Bowser’s Castle. This has also been datamined for Tour through the ID Gap theory. Los Angeles Laps: This will be a section based track and it fits better as the last course of the cup. Athens Avenue: It will be classified as MobAT and why not have a track based on Athens, Greece. Mushroom City: This will be the surprise track of Wave 5 due to 3 different reasons. First reason being that Mushroom City was datamined for Tour due to its assets (Mushroom Car, Bob-omb Car and Wiggler Car.) Second reason being that Mushroom Bridge wouldn’t be added this late in the pass due to it being easy. Third reason being that Mushroom City has multiple routes, so Nintendo can let people pick what route to take to see what one is faster. Oh and a fourth reason is that the unexpected retros of each wave are tracks that have never been remade (Shroom Ridge, Snow Land and DS Mario Circuit) or have been remade but offer new routes (Peach Gardens). Koopa Cape: This has been datamined to appear in the Banner Leak, one of the fan favourites of Mario Kart Wii, and it’s more likely than Dry Dry Ruins due to Sunset Wilds appearing in Wave 6. Plus they would save the fan favourites as the 3rd course of each cup now since there are 3 tour city courses and 1 new course but in wave 6 will be 2 tour cities and 2 new nitros. Piranha Plant Cove: In every odd-numbered wave, a Tour Nitro that is already in Tour will appear in that wave (Wave 1 having Ninja Hideaway, Wave 3 being Merry Mountain,) so it would make sense for Piranha Plant Cove to appear in Wave 5 due to the fact it has cherries in the course and every cup so far has had a course to represent it. (Golden Dash Cup having Toad Circuit due to the Mushroom Toads, Lucky Cat Cup having Tokyo Blur and Ninja Hideaway due to the resemblance of Japan, Turnip Cup having Mario Circuit 3 to represent the origins of Mario Kart as a series, Propellor Cup having Mushroom Gorge due to the bouncing Mushrooms, Rock Cup having Alpine Pass/Rock Rock Mountain due to the rocks in the course, Moon Cup having 3DS Rainbow Road due to the Moon section, Fruit Cup having Riverside Park due to its jungle theme, and Yoshi’s Island because Yoshis love their fruit, and Boomerang Cup having DS Mario Circuit due to the castle now having its appearance based on Super Mario 3D Land, and Waluigi Stadium due to the course being in the Flower Cup of Mario Kart Double Dash, and it appeared in the Banana Cup in Mario Kart Wii. That means it has always appeared in the second row of courses in each game. Vancouver Velocity: Datamined for Wave 6 and would suit it due to it being in the Winter. Sunset Wilds: It would suit Wave 6 due to it being in the Lightning Cup in Super Circuit, and I doubt a SNES and GBA course would be in the same wave as each other now. DK Mountain: Half-pipe theory and it played jank in Tour so it might work better for 8 Deluxe, and they would most likely pick this over DDJ. Whirlpool Washaway: The MobBR bathroom course (and a new nitro). Cairo or Rio: I said Cairo due to the Mario Kart Tour loading screen having pyramids which tend to be related to Egypt. I also say Rio due to the ID Gap Theory which there is an ID between Paris and Singapore. 3DS Bowser’s Castle: This Bowser’s Castle is in Tour and there will be a new way of this being driven to surprise the players. First and second laps go as normal, but in the third lap, people are forced to take the top path, turn left then drive that section backwards. After they exit the bottom, there will be a long Kanaami Road which goes over the goal pole so the end of the race isn’t triggered, then they drive through the entire course backwards mimicking the R Variant of Bowser’s Castle. Which Way Warp Zone: This will be MobDK, and DK could mean Dokan which is pipe in Japanese. Therefore we could get a pipe course. Wii Rainbow Road: Why would this track get such a beautiful upgrade in Tour, make it a two section track and not bring it back in 8 Deluxe with the full 3 laps. Plus they can upgrade this track even more in 8 Deluxe. They could place anti-gravity on the drop all the way to the wavy section. They’ll take off way more barriers due to the track being harder.
Really enjoyed this, I am predicting that this wave MAY have 2 GCN tracks, because in order to have 4 GCN tracks total in the BCP, one wave has to have 2 GCN tracks in it, with the correlation with birdo returning, I feel like it may be in this upcoming wave.
I have practically the same predictions as you do except for one thing but I’ll get into that in a sec. I first wanted to mention the SNES track because it seems like it’s the toughest one to pin point as to which track it’ll be and I funny enough had the same thoughts as Vanilla Lake as you did. I personally want to see Koopa Beach 2 more but I feel like that’d only happen if Koopa Cape appears in Wave 4 but a SNES Bowser’s Castle track would be great to see anyway because it’s the most unique of the SNES tracks that we don’t have yet in some way shape or form in the game already. Only reason why I didn’t go for that in my prediction was because it hasn’t really been datamined in Tour but here’s hoping it appears soon. Anyway my only other thing is the DK Mountain v Dino Dino Jungle debate. I personally think we’ll see DK Mountain still and not just mainly bias because it’s my favorite track in the series but also I feel like it’s arguably the biggest fan favorite in Double Dash that even if it has similar qualities to DK Summit, it’s basically too popular to not pass up on. Imo it’s inclusion in Tour would’ve been completely pointless if it wasn’t planned to be in the BCP as well, considering I’ve seen Tour players debating that that track alongside Wii Rainbow Road definitely feel like they were not meant to be played on a handheld and were made in Tour solely so they had a basis for them for the BCP. I just think personally if they wanted to go with Dino Dino Jungle they should’ve added it back in Wave 3 and not save it for Wave 6 and especially considering all of the other retros and Tour tracks that we’re getting in the second half of the BCP came to Tour recently and look more visually polished and modern but then have Dino Dino Jungle at the very end still retaining that early Tour design that a lot of the first half tracks have would kind of just be strange when DK Mountain already has that polished modern design that Dino Dino Jungle just doesn’t have because it was a launch track. Idk I feel like Dino Dino Jungle was added to Tour simply because it was easy to port since it was on the 3DS where a lot of the Tour retros came from but DK Mountain’s recent inclusion definitely felt like it was made for the BCP in mind. Idk I could be completely wrong here but that’s just my 2 cents on that debate.
Those are certainly some convincing arguments for DK Mountain, for sure. Really, I think there's a thorough 50/50 chance for either DK Mountain or Dino Dino Jungle, and when given the choice between the two, I gravitate toward Dino Dino Jungle purely for the sake of variety.
I feel like the elephant in the room is everyone wanting Wario Colosseum from Double Dash. Or maybe that's just me, it's not ever been brought back since and it's a 2-lap epic!
It's certainly the only SNES course theme that I think could realistically be brought in without a collective groan from 90% of the playerbase, and it's definitely what I'm hoping for as well.
this video is sadly proof of people relying on the prefixes even after wave 3, and the confirmation that 1. We likely wouldnt be getting any content after the 4th anniversary tour (this is confirmed) 2. 2 of the Nitros were test places so no new nitro file names were likely to be made (this was even stated in the video. You were so close to predicting the removal of a nitros…) 1. even if they delayed waluigi stadium because they didn’t have time to finish it, that doesn’t explain they they changed up all of the other prefixes. 2. Your mobdk theory would’ve been correct if it wasn’t that KoopaV already said that mobdk was likely mobdokan. It’s little things like this that seem obvious now, but this all went over our heads when it was so obvious (specifically the devs moving around the prefixes). The removal of a GCN track, was uncalled for…but I will say I predicted that as soon as wave 4 released. Not like this matters anymore, but I think it’s nice to look back at these types of videos. If you had at least waited till wave 4, and did a lil more research, you could’ve potentially cracked the code for the rest of the BCP. The only reason why I say you should’ve waited for wave 4 is because wave 4 was extremely predictable. The only surprises were the removal of LA, and the addition of Bangkok. The DS mario circuit was obvious, especially since it was datamined for tour, and waluigi stadium started the theory that maybe a GCN track may have been removed. The wave 4 predictions likely could’ve just been its own thing. Regardless, nice job.
This was an excellent video! A ton of thought put into it and very logical reasoning. Question - how do you know that Athens is coming in May? I'm pretty up to date with most of the datamines but that is news to me
I can't be 100% certain at the moment, but I believe we have a season ID for an early May time frame that appeared at the same time as the ID gap for MobAT/Athens, which suggests that the tour starting on May 3 will feature that course. To be honest, I don't fully understand ID gaps, so I just go by the word of a few reliable sources who have direct connections with the main group of Tour dataminers. I made sure to get confirmation for all the information on ID gaps that I put in this video, so I would hope it's all pretty accurate.
Even if this would possibly be incorrect, huge props for giving great explanations on these very good educated guesses! I'm also surprised that Cario was not added to the tour yet, despite being ON THE TITLE SCREEN! XD!!!
The weird thing about the Tour title screen is that those pyramids are just generic Mario 3 "desert world" pyramids as opposed to the actual pyramids of Giza, whereas all of the other landmarks are clearly meant to be the real thing. It's a very strange detail.
@GoatPrince Well, then that just makes it even more stupid. Cario is one of the most populated cities in the WORLD! Plus, Tour Barely has any African city tracks (if not any!)
@@goatprince1 if my calculations are correct, they are most likely “Mariofied” version of the Pyramids of Giza, which could mean that Cairo is in the BCP
I feel like another contender as to what as to what mobDK could be is a Desert Kingdom. Most of the other desert courses through the series have a low chance of coming. Yoshi Desert isn’t happening due to Sunset Wilds, a potential Cairo course is also a no go considering the other ID gapes for cities, and Ruins, while having a chance, definitely has competition to Koopa Cape. The DLC also has a lack of deserts apart from Sunset Wilds, so it doesn’t have the problem of being oversaturated unlike the Snow courses. Plus, there is potential to the idea, as it could be based on Tostarena to represent SMO or maybe even Sarasaland, where they could do something similar to PPC, where each lap is a different kingdom from Land. They have interest in tracks based on other game with Yoshi’s Island and Ninja Hideaway to an extent with WarioWare, so it’s something to keep in mind. That or they just do Dry Dry Ruins over Koopa Cape, which wouldn’t be out of the ordinary to replace a fan favorite retro remade in 7 with a new one, considering DS Mario Circuit was chosen over Airship.
That's a perfectly valid theory, and I've heard it from several different people at this point. One thing that may promote this is the bone piranha plant that was datamined for Tour. While it would appear at a glance that this asset would indicate Bone-Dry Dunes, it could instead be used for the "Desert Kingdom" course.
21:05 FINALLY IM GLAD SOMEONE ELSE THINKS SNES BC WILL COME. All the other themes are already in the game in some form so a bowser castle makes the most sense
I don't think this is too likely and is just an idea I had, but the gist of it is that we are likely getting a couple returning Donkey Kong tracks so that MOBDK likely won't be one, but instead it could stand for Diddy Kong and would be a track from Diddy Kong Racing with the same amount of love as Yoshi's Island, plus it'd be the perfect opportunity to drop Diddy Kong in. Again, I don't think it's likely, but I'd love it if it did happen
As you said, it is most definite that Dino Dino Jungle will make its way into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The confirmation is the fact that a sign labeled “Dino Dino Jungle” is slapped on the wall of Coconut Mall.
I don’t agree with the Coconut Mall posters being reliable as leaks for upcoming tracks, I just think that Dino Dino Jungle does make the most sense logistically based off its past appearances and unique setting compared to DK Mountain.
we literally have like the SAME predictions lmaooo but i was thinking waluigi stadium would be in wave 4 since it’s just got cut from wave 3 but i was also thinking that it could also be dk mountain in wave 4 since riverside park and dk mountain got released in the same time in tour. for daisy cruise, i could’ve swore that people said they saw it on the banner which already put that track in mind for me ;) and for the final gcn track in wave 6, i was hoping it would be bowsers castle since it would kind of fit the tradition of the bowser castle/rainbow road thing in mario kart and the funny part is that i actually said “dark kingdom” for “mobDK” before it popped up on the video lmaooo so maybe “dark kingdom” could be gcn bowsers castle?? idkkk but i LOVED this video💙
Waluigi Stadium has a very good chance of being in Wave 4, and could even appear alongside whatever GCN course was originally intended for Wave 4 as well, with Airship Fortress being moved to Wave 6. The relocation of Airship Fortress would even solve the minor annoyance of having too many sunset courses in Wave 4, so it's entirely possible that this could happen.
I know people complain about wanting a new Mario Kart game but honestly this is better considering we don’t lose any tracks from 8 and this is the biggest Mario Kart game with an amazing band (shoutout to my uncle who plays the Sax)
@@goatprince1 Yes he is, believe it or not. It’s been a while since I last spoke to him but I haven’t asked him what music tracks he played that are missing in this game so I’m just as curious as you are. Even if I did know I won’t say since I’m putting his career in jeopardy. Regardless, his Sax solos are kickass if you ask me.
Airship Fortress is my favourite Mario Kart Track ever so I really hope it does end up being the last DS track. Yoshi's Island is either my favourite or second favourite game of all time so it would be kinda crazy to have both Airship Fortress and the Yoshi's Island track in the same cup. Great predictions overall, I especially like your idea for Dark Kingdom rather than another Donkey Kong track. Not having a Bowser themed track for the second to last one would be a little weird since we haven't had any Bowser Castle tracks in the Booster Course Pass so far.
I am very excited to know which ones could be included for MK8D, however I am saddened by the fact that we will no longer have waves. Mushroom Bridge is a great GC track but still very similar to other Tour tracks, obviously this didn't stop us from getting Shroom Ridge on DS. At least I would prefer another track such as Dino Dino Jungle since it is one of the most likely to return although my favorite is Wario Colosseum.
Here are my predictions for wave 4-6 Fruit Cup: Tour Amsterdam Drift Wii DK Summit DS Airship Fortress Yoshi’s Island Boomerang Cup: Tour Singapore Speedway GCN Dino Dino Jungle GBA Bowser’s Castle 4 Tour Los Angles Laps Feather Cup: Tour Cairo Crossroads Wii Koopa Cape GBA Sunset Wilds Tour Athens Raceway Cherry Cup: Tour Bangkok Rush GCN Daisy Cruiser SNES Vanilla Lake 2 Warp-Pipe Woods Acorn Cup: Tour Vancouver Velocity GCN Waluigi Stadium Piranha Plant Cove Home Circuit Spiny Cup; Tour Dubai Downtown GCN Mushroom Bridge Bowser’s Carnival Castle Wii Rainbow Road Here the internal for the tracks I made up: Athens Raceway: Mobat Athens Warp-Pipe Woods: Mobmd Maze Dokan Home Circuit: Mobbr Bed Room Bowser’s Carnival Castle: Mobdk Disco Koopa
Imo in the final cup a rearrangement needs to occur we have a Tour City a nitro a GCN track and Wii track. The city will be the city and Wii track will obviously be Rainbow Road but I think they should end the pass with a Bowser's Castle and a Rainbow Road both as the Penultimate and Final tracks of the BCP (or your idea with the wasteland) GCN Bowser's Castle could not possibly be more perfect to have before wii rainbow road as it has the traditional BC and RR that the crown cup usually has and this is the Spiny Shell Cup, surely you see where Im going with this, GCN deserves good representation for its tracks too and the ones that are consistently suggested always push the 4 not yet remade courses to the side, that of which being Mushroom City, Wario's Coluseeum, Bowsers Castle and Rainbow Road. I understand Bridge over City because of the city tracks but not only even for wave 4 is Mushroom Bridge way to simplistic but we already have Shroom Ridge which not only is extremely similar but literally has its name in Mushroom Bridge. The datamine for the cars and wiggler car for tour also is pretty much irrelevant with the recent Doctor Tour releasing Shroom Ridge and featuring the Wiggler car in its track, so at this point it wouldn't even be clear if we are getting Bridge or City at all, so if I were to guess, cruiser would be in wave 4 instead as its still simple enough and would suit the spring well, Wario's Coluseeum over Walugi Stadium however is a little different, Waluigi Stadium has already been remade in Wii and said to return but apart from the banner leak which isn't 100 percent as it shows trick variants for choco mountain and sydney sprint it seems to show stadium which could easily be coluseeum, honestly while stadium is good we are yet to recieve any Wario content whatsoever and with no more 3DS tracks or N64 tracks that obviously leaves out Wario Stadium and Wario Shipyard, and we already have Waluigi Pinball in the game recently and really dont need another track, not to mention the potential with the antigravity in Coluseeum is just too much to pass up, GCN Rainbow Road makes sence that its return is not likely, we already have way too many RR tracks in the game (if WIi Rainbow Road releases that will make 5) and while its inclusion would be nice I just see it being a bit of a wasted slot, and of course Bowser's Castle it really needs its remake, Nintendo have the opportunity to set up a legendary final cup and honestly it will feel a little weird to have any other track before Rainbow Road as the final cup, I really hope it returns cause not only is Bowser literally getting no representation in the BCP but BC tracks and RR tracks have long been iconic in each game and as of now there is a 4:1 ratio for the Rainbow Roads against the BC tracks even adding 1 or 2 would be perfect to really give and make a difference in the pass. So with all that the 4 GCN tracks should be Daisy Cruiser in wave 4, Dino Dino Jungle in wave 5 (Works as a summer track and as you said would be better over DK Mountain being too similar to DK Summit), Waluigi Stadium/Wario's Coluseeum in wave 5 (wouldn't matter which one but considering its the final wave Coluseeum would be a more enjoyable choice) and Bowser's Castle in the final cup. GCN fans have been waiting a whole year for any content and considering Wii is getting all of their top tier tracks GCN deserves to have 4 solid releases and honestly Mushroom Bridge would be a bit dissappointing to take a spot. Let me know what you think of this?
The SNES Bowser Castle course had been datamined well in advance via ID gap theory, but I was honestly expecting either a perfect 1:1 recreation in the same vein as all the other SNES courses, or yet another lazy rehash of the GBA Bowser Castle 1 assets with a different layout. Even if that had been the case I would have assumed that the track would make it into the BCP simply on the grounds of not being a tiny, poorly designed, bare-bones circle of ice. However, they gave Bowser Castle 3 such a phenomenal glow-up that there's genuinely no way that it doesn't make it in. It really does have everything in its favor: It's unprecedented for a remake of a SNES track, it's the only chance we have of getting a retro Bowser's Castle in the BCP, it's actually a really fun and challenging course in its own right, and the sloping elevation is a dead giveaway that it was explicitly designed with anti-gravity in mind. The inclusion of BC3 in the BCP really couldn't be any more obvious, tbqh.
Yeah, that's exactly the kind of music I'm hoping will be made for the Rio course, assuming it happens. The overall atmosphere and aesthetic for that course will be outstanding.
interesting video!! i agree with a lot of your predictions, and you brought up a few things i hadn't considered or wasn't aware of (i didn't know about the situation with mobNU and mobMU for instance, or the ID gaps suggesting a new city course and an SNES Bowser Castle) though i feel a few of my opinions on specific choices would differ personally i still feel like dino dino jungle and DK mountain might both get in. while i wouldn't mind seeing mushroom bridge at all, and it would differentiate the GCN tracks from each other, i do feel it's a pretty simplistic track that overlaps a bit with shroom ridge (which has a more interesting layout!) and i'm not sure if it would Deserve the spot over dino dino jungle and DK mountain, which as far as i'm aware are both fan-favorite courses. i'd probably put dino dino in wave 4 and DK mountain in wave 6 (so you don't have DK Summit and DK Mountain in the same wave) though i guess this causes a bit of a domino effect with the GBA course, because with Riverside Park we'd have three jungle courses, and two in the same cup. fortunately there's a lot of GBA options to consider. i probably wouldn't go with Cheep-Cheep Island since Los Angeles Laps is in the same cup, and i probably wouldn't go with one of the bowser castles if we get an SNES Bowser Castle. so i guess i'd go Yoshi Desert? it'd be a little weird to get two GBA desert courses, but "egyptian desert ruins" and "yeehaw cowboy desert" are two pretty different desert courses if it's mushroom city instead of bridge though, then i could see it getting in over DK Mountain even if it's a less popular pick, just because i think it'd bring more to the table with its many alternate routes. but idk, we have a lot of city courses in the DLC already LMAO ultimately though these are just my personal takes, and i'm in the dark as much as you are here, so take everything i say with a grain of salt. i enjoyed this video, and i'm excited as you are to see what shows up over the next few waves !!
@@ChiefMedicPururu Well that's true but I'm still thinking if Toad's Turnpike made it to 8 from the beginning then I'm sure one day Mushroom City will too, along with Moonview Highway from Wii
Almost every TH-camr is saying “Airship Fortress”. Haha. Also, “Waluigi Stadium” does have Wave 5 (Double Cherry Cup) potential but I most likely see it coming in Wave 4 due to the possibilities of “Mushroom Bridge” coming with a certain character in Wave 5 (Double Cherry Cup).
Well with Shroom Ridge now in Tour, one of the variants includes wigglers on the road! And interesting that you are predicting Athens to hit Tour in May, as many believe the next tour after the Doctor Tour will either be Athens or a Mario v. Luigi tour (with DS Mario Circuit and GBA Luigi Circuit potentially coming). Anyways great video, watched every second of it.
Guess we'll see soon enough, they're definitely blitzing through the remaining tour courses by this point to have them all ready for 8 either way. I don't see Athens being the immediate next thing but anything's possible
The Zoo Track actually sounds like a great idea, here's hoping that ends up being right~ I pretty much agree with almost all your picks besides swapping Piranha Plant Cove with the "Zoo Track" to keep up the standard Tour nitro pattern that Nintendos been doing. 👍
I would have put Piranha Plant Cove in Wave 5, but considering Koopa Cape and the underwater portion of Daisy Cruiser, putting the course there would have made for slightly too much underwater emphasis in that wave.
My predictions are extremely similiar to yours actually! Only a few minor changes really Fruit Cup Tour Amsterdam Drift Wii DK Summit DS Airship Fortress Yoshi's Island Boomerang Cup Tour Singapore Speedway GCN Waluigi Stadium GBA Riverside Park Tour Los Angeles Laps Feather Cup mobAT (Athens) GBA Sunset Wilds Wii Koopa Cape mob?? (Cairo) GCN Daisy Cruiser mobMU Wii Rainbow Road -I get where you're coming from with Waluigi Stadium, but I'm still putting it in Wave 4 -My Feather Cup is the exact reverse of yours lmao, I think they could do a lot more with Rio in terms of using the mountains and the bay making it a worthy finale, plus Koopa Cape is more complicated than Sunset Wilds -I had the final course of the Cherry Cup as mobDK, and I know you said it was unlikely to be a Donkey Kong themed course, but what if the course isn't based on the character, but the GAME??? Like, the original arcade game! That would make sense given the assets, and they could even throw Pauline in there as a bonus to go with it -Speaking of characters, I like the idea of them doing a full row of new characters, so three each in waves 5 and 6. Wave 5 is Diddy Kong, Funky Kong, and Pauline to go with mobDK, and Wave 6 is Petey Piranha to go with PPC, Hammer Bro with alts cause I want it, and Kamek to go with whatever mobMU turns out to be I guess, or just cause he deserves to be included

I do think mushroom bridge would come back, as it was “remade” in Mario kart ds, but it was butchered, like baby park and yoshi circuit. Those2 we’re remade in 8dx and mushroom bridge is a fan favorite, so it makes since to give it a chance to return.
What an absolutely massive blow. There's still technically a non-zero chance that we could be getting Airship, but it's not at all likely considering that there's nothing to suggest that slot prefixes can outright be replaced instead of just moved around. I'm fairly certain that we're just screwed until it's included in the next mainline Mario Kart.
I don't technically disagree on your opinion for the SNES track. I still think Vanilla Lake 2 can actually be enhanced and expanded on! Like an actual vanilla ice cream lake! The track can be expanded on too!
Half of it would consist of throwaway circuit courses and SNES tracks that nobody wants, and it would be an egregious misallocation of resources that could have gone into developing the next mainline Mario Kart.
@@goatprince1 Or what if they did more new tracks along with retro stages? I just feel like it would be a bit unfortunate to not have tracks like DK Mountain, Luigi's Mansion, the GBA Bowser Castles in MK8. We all know Tour is gonna shut down eventually, and that would leave many tracks unplayable if they aren't in MK8 already. Just add the rest in along with a few more new tracks! Yes, they could just add the remaining tracks in the next Mario Kart game, but I have doubts we are gonna see that anytime soon.
@@goatprince1 Cause honestly, whats gonna happen after Wave 6 if Tour keeps getting new content? What if they add a track like Wario Colosseum? Fans would be so upset that it can never be in MK8 since the DLC is over.
Oh come on, not the "Dark Kingdom" thing again, like, that was pulled out of nowhere and is suddenly being commonly brought up, even though it doesn't reference anything in particular from the Mario series. I would say them breaking all naming conventions and suddenly codenaming a course "Donkey Kong" is still more probable than the shot in the dark "Dark Kingdom" is
I just don't see sufficient reason for a Donkey Kong course. It would most likely be some kind of jungle-themed course, but we already have DK Jungle in the base game, and we know we're getting either Dino Dino Jungle or DK Mountain as well as the partially jungle-themed Piranha Plant Cove and very likely Riverside Park. Even still, if MobDK actually is a Donkey Kong track with half-pipes, then it would be the second Donkey Kong track with half-pipes in the BCP after DK Summit, and that might be somewhat redundant.
@@goatprince1 i think the mobdk track could be based on the original donkey kong rather than the dk country series considering we already have a track based on that plus that would be the perfect opportunity to introduce Pauline in the game (srry if my theory is dumb)
@@crayCrab1258 That's a pretty plausible theory actually, considering that they're introducing Birdo with Yoshi's Island and most likely Petey Piranha with Piranha Plant Cove.
I hope you're right about Wii Rainbow Road, anything but 3 full laps would ruin the entire course for me and it's my literal favorite in the entire franchise
Yea every since august of 2022, a lot of ppl said that wave 6 final track in the spiky shell/final cup is Wii rainbow road bc almost every end track ends with a rainbow road
i saw in a mario kart tour datamine that one nitro course has spider webs, so i think that will be a halloween themed track, like merry mountain ressembling christmas, which means that course would fit the mobDK track
That's possible, although I don't think a Halloween track is very likely seeing as Wave 6 certainly won't be released until after October. The spider web could possibly be for a general "creepy" course akin to Luigi's Mansion, but again, I don't think that's super likely seeing as we already have both Twisted Mansion and Boo Lake in MK8DX. Really, the spider web could be for anything, and I think this is another MobMU situation in which you have to resort to wild speculation going off a single datamined asset.
I think the Rio track could be one of the wave 6 city tracks since, if it exists, it's one of the tracks with the least amount of data. So unless the dataminers find a lot of info for a new mobRJ track, than it's not coming for wave 5. Oh, and it wouldn't make much sense, since at that time of the year it's winter on Rio. But Sydney Sprint exists so what do I know.
To my knowledge, the ID gap for the possible Rio track suggests a summer release, and seeing as the Madrid track probably isn't coming until after Wave 5, then Rio being in Wave 5 is kind of the only arrangement that makes sense chronologically (unless Nintendo decides to completely throw everyone for a loop and release Madrid as a Switch debut in Wave 5). Also, Rio has an equatorial climate, so it doesn't exactly experience "winter," just wet and dry seasons.
@@goatprince1 well, I didn't knew about that track until this video, so you have much more knowledge to talk about it. Also, I'm brazilian and where I live we do have 4 seasons, so I kinda forgor that it was different on Rio lol.
Well unfortunately it turns out Athens will be a daytime track, oof Looks like it might be more of a "Mario Kart" track than a city one though so thats good~
I was pretty much expecting it to be a daytime track from the beginning, and in fact the color palette from the postcard is almost exactly what I had in mind. The only reason I proposed the "night Athens" idea is because I thought it would be cool for the Feather Cup to progress throughout the day, starting with Rio and Koopa Cape during mid-day, then moving on to Sunset Wilds, and finally ending in Athens at night.
Here are my predictions: Wave 4: Fruit Cup: Tour Amsterdam Drift Wii DK Summit DS Airship Fortress/Mario Circuit Tour Yoshi’s Island Boomerang Cup: Tour Singapore Speedway GCN Mushroom Bridge GBA Luigi Circuit/Riverside Park (this would depend on the DS track) Tour Los Angeles Laps Wave 5: Feather Cup: Tour Madrid Motorway GBA Sunset Wilds Wii Koopa Cape Tour Rio Runway (although I originally predicted Cairo Crossings) Cherry Cup: Tour Bangkok Rush GCN Daisy Cruiser SNES Vanilla Lake 2/Koopa Beach 2/Bowser Castle 3 Tour DK Swings Wave 6: Acorn Cup: Tour Vancouver Velocity GCN Waluigi Stadium Tour Lavatory Rush Tour Museum Escapades (that’s what I got for MobMU, otherwise it’s “unknown”) Spiny Cup: Tour Athens Avenue GCN Dino Dino Jungle/DK Mountain Tour Piranha Plant Cove Wii Rainbow Road Feel free to ask any questions you have about this list.
I still think mob DK is related to Donkey Kong. In the wave 5 or 6, beacuse this will suit perfectly after the release of the Mario movie were Mario races with Donkey and monkeys in the jungle like we have seen in some of the last trailers of the movie. Also this will be perfect for the inclusion of Diddy, Dixie or Funky as New characters in the game. And also a perfect situation to promote the Game & the movie at the same time. Including some parts of the rsce in the jungle & others in a Rainbow Road.
honestly i really dont see dino dino jungle getting in over dk mountain. it just gives them an excuse to add funky kong or diddy kong + i feel its more iconic after being in mkwii, and tracks like merry mountain or mount wario are semi-similar to dk mountain anyways as they all have you going up and/or down a big mountain
well if you're still having doubt about ddj coming, think of it this way: ddj was always the 2nd track of every game it was featured in, much like peach gardens, who also got the same treatment in 8 deluxe. and the second track of the spiny cup (the last cup of the entire dlc) is a gcn track.

Dark Kingdom should be based on The Super Mario Bros Movie, because they may make an event to make a promotion based on it, I expect it to be called The Darklands where Bowser's minions are expectating the epic showdown between the kingdoms of the movie
I hope it’s Rio and not Orlando. We don’t need 3 US tracks! I could also see MobOR being Cairo considering the lack of an African city and the pyramids on some of MKT’s logos
@@goatprince1 I seriously doubt this. MobNU has been datamined to contain a Morray Eel assets from PPC. I don’t see us getting two tracks with moray eels in it. Therefore MobOR cannot be Piranha Plant Cove
@@uvaAsh I explained in the video that MobNU is presumed to be a test stage because its asset names would suggest such. Meanwhile, we know for a fact that Piranha Plant Cove is MobOR because its internal name is literally "New_Gmob_OceanRuins." If that weren't enough, then I might add that many were expecting to see an Orlando course right before the reveal of PPC because the season ID corresponding to MobOR suggested an early February release.
*UPDATE: March 2, 2023 - The unexpected early reveal of Wave 4*
Well lads, it was fun while it lasted.
*Minor update: March 5, 2023:* For anyone interested, here's my initial readjusted prediction for waves 5 and 6: drive.google.com/file/d/1c9c7BO24w82_K5vwwBOtb9CiH3ljhjPt/view?usp=sharing
This is entirely subject to change depending on how things look throughout the following months. For me, the main toss-ups here are whether we'll be getting Mushroom Bridge or Mushroom City, and whether or not Vancouver will be moved to Wave 5.
*The original pinned comment:*
Various things that I feel the need to point out:
1. (Although as it turns out, the Doctor Tour datamining didn't actually reveal anything that would affect my course predictions.)
*UPDATE: What a massive, embarrassing L, good god*
3. Production on this video began prior to the reveal of Piranha Plant Cove as well, and if anyone is interested in seeing what my initial prediction was before the MobOR situation threw us for a complete loop, then you can see it right here: ibb.co/zbTYzS8
I don't think I see or hear a jumpscare.
Update: Mushroom Bridge is now officially coming to Mario Kart Tour.
This is an insanely well crafted video, you’ve honestly sold me on your ideas, even if I initially disagreed. Full props!
Same, especially when he talked about how the DK track could actually be a new rendition of Bowser's Castle. At the same time ... Two nitro Bowser's Castle tracks in one game...
@@alexerickson5401 It’d be a dream come true
I’ve finally found someone who thinks SNES Bowsers Castle 3 will be the other SNES track. We are friends now.
As long as we get Daisy Cruiser at some point, I’ll be happy
Fortunately for you, it's pretty much guaranteed. I'm looking forward to that one as well, as it's one of my favorite courses from Double Dash.
@@goatprince1: That’s good to know
@@goatprince1: It’s my favorite track in Mario Kart history, and since I play as Daisy in MK8D, it’s the one track I want back the most!
@@nathanbyberg it's a based course, that much is certain
Wave 5;
Feather Cup:
Tour Madrid Esplanade
GCN Daisy Cruiser
SNES Bowser’s Castle 2
Tour Los Angeles Laps
Cherry Cup:
Tour Athens Avenue
GCN Mushroom City
Wii Koopa Cape
Piranha Plant Cove
Wave 6;
Acorn Cup:
Tour Vancouver Velocity
GBA Sunset Wilds
GCN DK Mountain
Whirlpool Washaway (MobBR)
Spiny Cup:
Tour Cairo Crossway/Rio Rumble
3DS Bowser’s Castle
Which Way Warp Zone (MobDK)
Wii Rainbow Road
Reasoning for each:
Madrid Esplanade: There is a track datamined to be in Tour called MobMD and Spain are known for their festivals in the summer so why not place Madrid in Wave 5.
I don't see how we could be getting 3DS Bowser's Castle considering that there aren't any more 3DS slots in the BCP.
besides the tour nitros, your predictions are exactly the same as mine! Same tracks, same placements, EVERYTHING! WOW
Amazing content Mr. GoatPrince, keep it up!
@@goatprince1 True all we can do is wait and see lol

I really hope we get airship fortress. I want that track so bad
Same, I have more attachment over it than Delfino Square.
Well, aren't you gonna be Heartbroken. I wanted Airship Fortress as well.
@@kylebicker7649 wait how do you know it will be delfino square
This is really good and honestly the best, most satisfying prediction I’ve ever seen. Fingers crossed for SNES Bowser castle 3!
It's certainly the only SNES course theme that I think could realistically be brought in without a collective groan from 90% of the playerbase, and it's definitely what I'm hoping for as well.
this video is sadly proof of people relying on the prefixes even after wave 3, and the confirmation that
1. We likely wouldnt be getting any content after the 4th anniversary tour (this is confirmed)
2. 2 of the Nitros were test places so no new nitro file names were likely to be made (this was even stated in the video. You were so close to predicting the removal of a nitros…)
1. even if they delayed waluigi stadium because they didn’t have time to finish it, that doesn’t explain they they changed up all of the other prefixes.
I really love these predictions and your ideas for the unknown mystery tour nitros. Great ideas!
Stella!!!!
@@goatprince1 seems like the asset is being used on SNES BC3

awsome city music selection and I love the gothic dark kingdom idea, great video
Need DK summit in wave 4! Amazing video
You're in luck then, because that's the most likely scenario.

As a brazilian, i'd be super happy to see a track in Mario Kart Tour inspired in Brazil :D
You were correct about SNES Bowser's Castle 3, even the right variant xD (though i guess it isnt 100% confirmed, but it basically is)
The SNES Bowser Castle course had been datamined well in advance via ID gap theory, but I was honestly expecting either a perfect 1:1 recreation in the same vein as all the other SNES courses, or yet another lazy rehash of the GBA Bowser Castle 1 assets with a different layout.
The music you played at Rio de Janeiro was so amazing. Just imagine we get a similar soundtrack, how awesome would that be please
Yeah, that's exactly the kind of music I'm hoping will be made for the Rio course, assuming it happens. The overall atmosphere and aesthetic for that course will be outstanding.
O can't wait for Singapore
interesting video!! i agree with a lot of your predictions, and you brought up a few things i hadn't considered or wasn't aware of (i didn't know about the situation with mobNU and mobMU for instance, or the ID gaps suggesting a new city course and an SNES Bowser Castle) though i feel a few of my opinions on specific choices would differ
personally i still feel like dino dino jungle and DK mountain might both get in. while i wouldn't mind seeing mushroom bridge at all, and it would differentiate the GCN tracks from each other, i do feel it's a pretty simplistic track that overlaps a bit with shroom ridge (which has a more interesting layout!) and i'm not sure if it would Deserve the spot over dino dino jungle and DK mountain, which as far as i'm aware are both fan-favorite courses. i'd probably put dino dino in wave 4 and DK mountain in wave 6 (so you don't have DK Summit and DK Mountain in the same wave)
though i guess this causes a bit of a domino effect with the GBA course, because with Riverside Park we'd have three jungle courses, and two in the same cup. fortunately there's a lot of GBA options to consider. i probably wouldn't go with Cheep-Cheep Island since Los Angeles Laps is in the same cup, and i probably wouldn't go with one of the bowser castles if we get an SNES Bowser Castle. so i guess i'd go Yoshi Desert? it'd be a little weird to get two GBA desert courses, but "egyptian desert ruins" and "yeehaw cowboy desert" are two pretty different desert courses
if it's mushroom city instead of bridge though, then i could see it getting in over DK Mountain even if it's a less popular pick, just because i think it'd bring more to the table with its many alternate routes. but idk, we have a lot of city courses in the DLC already LMAO
ultimately though these are just my personal takes, and i'm in the dark as much as you are here, so take everything i say with a grain of salt. i enjoyed this video, and i'm excited as you are to see what shows up over the next few waves !!
I’m basically on life support waiting for both Wave 4 and Waluigi Stadium
Since they’ve confirmed they’re adding new characters, whenever they add piranha plant cove they’ll also add petey piranha
Mob DK could be a Mario Odyssey map if K is kingdom. Which one is beyond me, unless D could be Donk for New Donk City, but that’s clutching at straws.
Mushroom Bridge already got so much attention, I feel like Mushroom City needs a chance to Shine
The problem is that Mushroom City would feel a bit mid compared to the Tour tracks, who already do the job of being city/traffic tracks.
I like to think that the bathroom course could most likely be an homage to mario kart home circuit, which I'm surprised they're recognizing
The Zoo Track actually sounds like a great idea, here's hoping that ends up being right~
I pretty much agree with almost all your picks besides swapping Piranha Plant Cove with the "Zoo Track" to keep up the standard Tour nitro pattern that Nintendos been doing. 👍
I would have put Piranha Plant Cove in Wave 5, but considering Koopa Cape and the underwater portion of Daisy Cruiser, putting the course there would have made for slightly too much underwater emphasis in that wave.
For wave 6 I honestly give 3DS another chance cause I want Maka Wuhu to be in mk8 deluxe

-I get where you're coming from with Waluigi Stadium, but I'm still putting it in Wave 4
-My Feather Cup is the exact reverse of yours lmao, I think they could do a lot more with Rio in terms of using the mountains and the bay making it a worthy finale, plus Koopa Cape is more complicated than Sunset Wilds
-I had the final course of the Cherry Cup as mobDK, and I know you said it was unlikely to be a Donkey Kong themed course, but what if the course isn't based on the character, but the GAME??? Like, the original arcade game! That would make sense given the assets, and they could even throw Pauline in there as a bonus to go with it
-Speaking of characters, I like the idea of them doing a full row of new characters, so three each in waves 5 and 6.

Everyone, Let's Start A Riot For Toad's Factory To Be In The Booster Course Pass
dk represents the series not the character. i think it will be a donkey kong arcade track complete with a donkey kong starting line like yoshis island
Whelp we got DS Mario circuit instead of airship fortress for some ungodly reason.
Yeah I think if they are going to include Vanilla Lake, they will give it a massive upgrade
What if we get another booster course pass after wave 6, that adds in 48 more retro tracks. Imagine
AIRSHIP FORTRESS FOREVER!!!
In the real trailer it will say yoshi s island will be added to tour at a later date just like sky high sundae
80-90% of the track of Wii Rainbow Road will be anti-gravity guaranteed.
I feel like their should really be tracks to Represent South America, Africa and Australia.
We already have an Australian track, my dude.
What's the music at 22:47? I'm loving it 😍
That's the Super Bell Subway music, specifically the highlight reel version.
i saw in a mario kart tour datamine that one nitro course has spider webs, so i think that will be a halloween themed track, like merry mountain ressembling christmas, which means that course would fit the mobDK track
Really, the spider web could be for anything, and I think this is another MobMU situation in which you have to resort to wild speculation going off a single datamined asset.
that is not what the spider webs were. the spider webs were datamined to be an item, likely exclusive to battle mode, not a track object
Which track is the one on the very bottom left of the banner leak btw?
Donkey Kong Island, however, is a location
A Las Vegas track would be perfect! It has replicas of famous places like the Statue of Liberty, Effie tower, etc. too bad it wasn’t predicted /:
Well unfortunately it turns out Athens will be a daytime track, oof
Looks like it might be more of a "Mario Kart" track than a city one though so thats good~
I was pretty much expecting it to be a daytime track from the beginning, and in fact the color palette from the postcard is almost exactly what I had in mind. The only reason I proposed the "night Athens" idea is because I thought it would be cool for the Feather Cup to progress throughout the day, starting with Rio and Koopa Cape during mid-day, then moving on to Sunset Wilds, and finally ending in Athens at night.
Apparently DS Mario Circuit was in the banner leak somewhere so everyone should have seen this coming but didn't want to.
That was just Shroom Ridge.
@@goatprince1 IDK I can't see either of them.
That was Toad Circuit R, not DSMC
Maybe bowser rally is one of the nitro tracks?
No chance for Wii Toad’s Factory? 😢
There's no way it's getting in, unfortunately. I would imagine that it's being saved for the retro GP in the next mainline Mario Kart.

Dark Kingdom? Ruins? Ruined kingdom from mario Odyssey, possibly?
I would assume mobDK could mean Dragon Kingdom.
It could, but that might conflict with Dragon Driftway, which was also a DLC track.
honestly i really dont see dino dino jungle getting in over dk mountain. it just gives them an excuse to add funky kong or diddy kong + i feel its more iconic after being in mkwii, and tracks like merry mountain or mount wario are semi-similar to dk mountain anyways as they all have you going up and/or down a big mountain
well if you're still having doubt about ddj coming, think of it this way: ddj was always the 2nd track of every game it was featured in, much like peach gardens, who also got the same treatment in 8 deluxe. and the second track of the spiny cup (the last cup of the entire dlc) is a gcn track.

I hope it’s Rio and not Orlando. We don’t need 3 US tracks! I could also see MobOR being Cairo considering the lack of an African city and the pyramids on some of MKT’s logos
MobOR is Piranha Plant Cove, bruv. There's now a 0% chance that we're getting Orlando, fortunately.
