I was an atheist all my life ...til last January on the morning of my final suicide attempt. I was a Marilyn Manson-style Drag-Queen, (NYX Lipsticks were my favorite, especially in black) Who suffered from public harassment, verbal abuse, humiliation, i was mocked...all by the general public. I grew up in a judgemental legalistic abusive household. And i was on every anti-Depressant in the book. I suffered from Severe Chronic Manic depression, PTSD, Hallucinations Severe anxiety and had developmental issues in my brain. I ran out of my bedroom crying and screaming “I CANNOT live my life like this anymore, I’m gonna become a Christian” -this was the The moment when everything began to change. A couple months later on a warm Friday morning, I decided to make a BOLD decision to go to a church to get HELP, two dudes who {ACTUALLY Genuinely} cared about me began to pray for me....and I felt the depression, mental issues diminishing.... Then two days later, it was Easter Morning...I drove to the Church, NOT KNOWING what to expect....as the first Christian song “Resurrecting” by Elevation worship began to play .... I could feel the LOVE OF GOD -ROARING THROUGH MY HEART I began to Scream, 😭😭wail 😭😭😭😭and CRY 😭😭😭louder than all the insanely loud worship music, (it felt like a rock concert, where all I could feel was LOVE,😭😭😭 I Thought to myself “how can these people actually look at me without mocking me for my appearance” and WHAT THE HECK?!??! And “How can these people possible look at (ME) with such LOVE AND COMPASSION streaming like a waterfall out of their eyes!!?!??!” “Like ....Jesus LOVES me,...and he PREVENTED ALL MY SUICIDE Attempts...BECAUSE HE LOVES ME” THAT SAME MORNING, it’s called EASTER... My maker , Jesus, MY SAVIOR, WHOM I USED TO HATE, ...HEALED MY BRAIN AND MY HEART.. I’m now off every single one of those antidepressants, and am a {completely} HEALTHY INDIVIDUAL .... 🔥NO MORE Suicide , no more PTSD... NO MORE DEPRESSION... I discovered that Joy, and Happiness is WHO JESUS IS. And that without him, I could not be anything but suicidal and disabled.. Jesus LITERALLY HEALED me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!☀️🔆 ❤️JESUS. LOVES. This is one of the few songs that brings me to tears every time I hear it. Jesus was faultless and did not deserve to be crucified between two criminals. In the form of a man, He had every right to choose to disobey The Father; however because of His love for us, He chose to be crucified so that we can have a relationship with Him. It was our sin that nailed Jesus to the cross, and it is our sin that His blood covers. He did not die to cover our sin so that we can continue to live in it, but to free us from it. I need to remember Jesus' sacrifice for me and to honor that sacrifice by living for Him.

The law is important it reveals the rebellious sinful nature of man God gave the law to show us we needed him. Thank God we do not need to keep the law to be saved..only faith in Jesus Christ can save a sinner from hell ...after all if anyone could keep the whole law Christ would have died in vane. We are saved by the grace of God when we by faith humble our heart to him and accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus :) I am eternally a child of God. Rules are a good thing God gave us clear commands that we are to keep in order to have orderly and Christ like lives . Jesus was tempted at all points as we are but he obeyed the Father until death. My Grandparents watched this on Thanksgiving, and my Granddad says "that girl can SING!" Who would've thought Lacey could bridge that gap between the music of my Granddad's day to mine?! So glad she did :) It is awesome to see her using the talents God has blessed her with to touch ALL generations, not just the youth. I think her story in particular touched him because we lost my Uncle to suicide a little over ten years ago. It was his only son. But losing any loved one that way is pain that I can't put into words. And then if it's your child on top of that, it's just a wound that will never fully heal. Wow. If only I knew how precious that gift really was. My Granddad's health is not good. In such a short period of time things have taken a turn for the worse. His kidneys are failing. He was going to do dialysis, but when they did the first treatment in the hospital it caused his heart to fail. Now he is been released to come home with the help of hospice to spend his last days. Never dreamed it would be this hard. Thankful I know my Granddad believes in Jesus Christ. Jesus come take your faithful servant home

Celebrated 10 years in recovery just last month. I know I haven't been the one behind the wheel this past decade. I just let God take the wheel and steer. A beautiful song, beautifully sung. I do not perceive her as doing this to bring glory to herself, rather her whole effort is to bring glory to God and praise to our Lord Jesus Christ. As a man of Scottish ancestry, I would love to hear maybe two or three bagpipers playing the Great Highland Bagpipes as part of the accompanyment to Mrs. Sturm's singing...the whole song has a strong celtic feel to it...the GHB's would enhance that tremendously - just as they lend a powerful voice to Amazing Grace. .

This is one of the few songs that brings me to tears every time I hear it. Jesus was faultless and did not deserve to be crucified between two criminals. In the form of a man, He had every right to choose to disobey The Father; however because of His love for us, He chose to be crucified so that we can have a relationship with Him. It was our sin that nailed Jesus to the cross, and it is our sin that His blood covers. He did not die to cover our sin so that we can continue to live in it, but to free us from it. I need to remember Jesus' sacrifice for me and to honor that sacrifice by living for Him.

My Grandparents watched this on Thanksgiving, and my Granddad says "that girl can SING!" Who would've thought Lacey could bridge that gap between the music of my Granddad's day to mine?! So glad she did :) It is awesome to see her using the talents God has blessed her with to touch ALL generations, not just the youth. I think her story in particular touched him because we lost my Uncle to suicide a little over ten years ago. It was his only son. But losing any loved one that way is pain that I can't put into words. And then if it's your child on top of that, it's just a wound that will never fully heal. I'm thankful to Billy Graham for making this possible. It's a message that definitely means so much to me and my family. It's all about the cross
Wow. If only I knew how precious that gift really was. My Granddad's health is not good. In such a short period of time things have taken a turn for the worse. His kidneys are failing. He was going to do dialysis, but when they did the first treatment in the hospital it caused his heart to fail. Now he is been released to come home with the help of hospice to spend his last days. Never dreamed it would be this hard. Thankful I know my Granddad believes in Jesus Christ. Jesus come take your faithful servant home

Celebrated 10 years in recovery just last month. I know I haven't been the one behind the wheel this past decade. I just let God take the wheel and steer. As a man of Scottish ancestry, I would love to hear maybe two or three bagpipers playing the Great Highland Bagpipes as part of the accompanyment to Mrs. Sturm's singing...the whole song has a strong celtic feel to it...the GHB's would enhance that tremendously - just as they lend a powerful voice to Amazing Grace. .

This song got me through when my father passed away March 3, 2016. Love it. I was in nursing school doing my clinical rotation when I got a call from my mother to call my dad who was 8 hours away in Nashville, Tennessee I called him and talked to him while he was dying, thank God I got to talk to him one last time.
