When JESUS really changes someone, that person becomes fully alive and they want everyone to know that the REASON for living is JESUS.

first time I heard this song, i was like 12 years old, an atheist, VERY depressed and suicidal, was even self-harming at one point.. now I’m 17 turning 18 and listening to this song now, makes me proud of how far I’ve come and how much I’ve recovered from my depression all by God’s grace 🤍 idk who needs to hear this but keep ya head up!

Standing before God He will judge us by the 10 commandments. It is impossible to keep even the first one for one moment of our lives. We need a sinless sacrifice. Blood is what keeps us alive so blood had to be shed to give us life. Jesus paid the price for us to be redeemed to God. The call is to repent(turn from your sin) and believe that Jesus came as payment for your sin debt and you will be saved. The chain of sin weighs down the soul and only Jesus can break it. The Bible says in Jeremiah 20:11-13 11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. We love you because Christ loved us first. He died knowing the price of our sin.
Your welcome but it's Christ in us. We aren't possible of such love separated from Him but your welcome because we are submissive subjects.

I'm a Christian, I was born into the religion and I've been going to church my whole life. I admit I'm not not a big fan of church b/c it doesn't speak out to me. It doesn't make me feel any closer to God, if anything it makes me feel more like an outsider, and out of the 20 years I have going to church, no sermon has ever touched me the way this song has. This song made me feel so proud to be a Christian and to know there's still hope despite all the mistakes that have been made.
We need more music like this.

WritingtheUnwritable The church is just another place to worship God and learn his word. But we can worship him anywhere. We don't have to go to church because we can worship him anywhere we are. Even if it means listening and spending time with him at home.
Ryan Dunn Going to church is not the mark of a Christian. Knowing God is. So, read your Bible. Every day. And seek God out. Not going to church is not a sin. :) Going to church is simply to grow with other believers. It is an opportunity to learn and grow. And if you find nothing in it for yourself, you coild go for others, as a servant. And not every church is preaching truth from the Bible. "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you."

i use to hate listening to christian music but yet i was raised in a southern baptist church and after my step dad passed i was deperessed and i found god yet again and today ima a better man then wat i was i picked up my ole guitar and started writing music and every song i sing i think of him sitting their and saying zack u got a chance of creating music and singing and making it a career

Cried like a baby and ended in prayer listening to this song. I'd been getting into Lacey's solo music and her work in Flyleaf lately. A little over 2 and a half years ago, I was lost to self harm and low self esteem and just believing I was worthless. I wanted to take my own life one day and I remembered a piece of Scripture I had in a book somewhere (by Brian Welch). I called out to God as a last resort and His spirit touched me, and I was filled with a joy, peace, and LOVE I had never felt before. I gave my life to Jesus then. Lately, I've been losing sight of loving Him instead of sin. Along with generally just struggling to address Him as Father and not just Lord. Tonight, every lyric in this song hit me and made me remember the reason I'm still here and that despite my sin I am still deeply loved by God. What a beautiful heart of worship Lacey has, and what wonderful things God has accomplished through her thus far! To those struggling with similar things, please know you are never alone in them like I thought I was... Reach out. And above all, Jesus loves you when it feels like no one else does. I once believed everyone secretly despised me and only acted friendly to me because they felt bad, and that no one could ever understand me. Jesus proved me wrong. He cares so deeply for YOU. And He's calling to you whether you know it or not. He is the reason I and many others have joy and peace and love in our restored souls. Bring your burdens to Him, He can take them❤🖤💕💕
Little more than a month ago, I was dead in sin and felt irredeemable. Jesus has given me a new heart to live, and love in His name and I can't stop crying tears of joy because of it.
Lord I still don't understand and see the reason, but I know there is one. Please help me to hold on to you, and you alone.

I'm pagan, I've had my own issues with Christians and Christianity, but it's people like lacey that make me defend other's rights to worship who they please. Christianity as a whole has been twisted by hateful people, and my heart goes out to those that are genuinely trying to have love for all, like Jesus said. Y'all get a lot of shit for the actions of others, and i hope that one day we can all be at peace together, no matter who we are or what deities we send our prayers to.
God is possessive. I love that he loves me that much. He sought me and found me. And for that I'm truly grateful. He bridged the gap that was because of sin. I stand on that path firm in knowing that it will lead to him. He is my passion.

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I used to have a sense of self righteousness because I hardly had a problem with sin. Or so I thought. I did what I considered minor sins. White lies, stealing a pen, etc... i somehow thought I was better than others because I didn't deal with cursing or lust or anger. And despite my self rightouseness I actually was pretty humble. I didn't even realize back then that I was self righteous. I just thought everyone else lacked self control. Then life really hit me hard.. i mean back to back hard. God was TRULY humbling me to help me know the state of my fallen nature. Boy do I see everyone differently now. I used to have a lot of compassion for everyone except for drug users and alcoholics. (To me murder is still really hard to give compassion for. It just is the worst..)
But now I have compassion for all and I can see how they get to that point and how broke down they must be to be there. Im grateful God humbled me in ways I never knew I needed it.
I totally love this song.... "I was made for your love and gave others your place"....That's one of the things in this song that really gets to me. How many of us have done this? How many of us still do and don't even realize it? I know that I did this for my whole life, and I'm so glad that I don't anymore. Thank you Jesus for finding me and leading me back to you!

One time my aunt shipped my brother , my friend and I on a bus with her church to see a Christian concert. I heard this song and it’s stuck with me since ❤
I don't follow any religion but listening to Lacey's story really makes me envy those who have found a God to believe in. I only wish I could have the reasurrence that someone above loves me and has a plan for me. But I don't know what it is that prevents me from believing. I think it's because I'm stubborn. Because I'm so used to having religion jammed down my throat that I don't want to give in to them. But if you have found your God, then I envy you. I really do.
Your not giving in if you believe. If you believe that just makes us and most importantly God happy. Don't listen to the lies of the world saying that if you believe you're giving in, because your not. You just were able to believe in your God that everyone ridicules. And trust me, giving in is not believing in him, it's refusing to believe in him because your either too scared or don't think you have a reason to.
Even the devil believes in God. There are lies you'll hear from Christians who are still lost. But just please know that you are loved so deeply, you'll never truly believe it. God himself came and died for you for the CHANCE you'd run to Him one day. Idk what you're going through in life, but if you open your heart and just pray to him and run to Him, you'll know a greater joy than many.

Dont know if you read your bible but genesis is the biggest love story in the bible about how God's grace surpasses all, He could have just annihilated us for the evil we have done when we were given a simple rule, but He made us live and laid it all upon Himself through humbling Himself and coming as a Human to die a human death so that the penalty can be paid through Jesus Christ, and this is why we must accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and saviour because He bought us from death. It was the most amazing experience I've ever had. I even got a picture with her, she said she can see my spirit and my heart and a light in my eyes. Oh...I pray that your doubts will be turned around one day...the love of God is a void that no one on earth can fill only he can. That is why you can't find peace within yourself. He is the truth and the light and he can heal your broken heart and give you peace and fill the void that we all have in our life. Will we be perfect?.. no...but you will see the peace he can give you by taking addictions, loneliness, heartbreak, loss of a loved one, many other things we face in this world. Please have a open mind to God. Christans are not all bad the ones that are truly of God will not condemn you or judge you. I am a Christian. Growing up I was bullied at school and my home life wasn't too great either. I eventually didn't see the point in life and became a self harmer and I was suicidal, but one day God came down and rescued me. What a great God we serve!
I can't get enough of this song!!
I went and saw her live during the RESET Movement tour the other night, and let me tell you it was a nice I will never forget. The concert itself was amazing, but afterwards I met Lacey herself! Met her husband Josh briefly when buying merch he let me have the poster for free which was super sweet. Then I met Lacey little after that, I talked to her for awhile about my life and my experiences with God. We connected so well, she got chills hearing my story and even prayed for me then and there.

In her book she was explaining her faith to someone who asked her if she was religious... And she responded that she wasn't really religious, she just really loved Jesus. I was so sad when she left Flyleaf... But the book gave me perspective and I just wish her all the joy and happiness that God has planned for her. Thank you Lacey for continuing to share your soul with us through music. God used to you save me through some very tough times.

SHE IS THE BEST. i absolutely love her so much. i mean just listen to her... her lyrics have always been so real , the way she sings every word is like she feels everything she is saying. i can literally feel the pain, and every emotion she is feeling by just listening to her. she is amazing. and she'll always be my favourite.
