The BEYOND cruise ship is the newest ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, the BEYOND is the 3rd ship in the "Edge series" class ships and it is truly amazing. We always learn so much when we stay in a different cabin category and this was no exception. The Retreat on any Celebrity cruise is a wonderful experience however this was one for the books, the BEYOND is an incredible ship no matter which cabin type you book and the Retreat is icing on the cake if you choose to stay in a suite on this ship. Whether you've been on the Celebrity BEYOND in the past or not, you are bound to see and learn of something new that you did not know before.
Jon and I have been on over 100 cruises and over the last few years, MANY of those have been on the different Celebrity cruise ships. Just discovered your channel while doing research for the Beyond. Love it. Your restaurant reviews are great, as are the cabin tours. Joyce, you did a great job with the cabin with the cabin tour. My husband and I went on our first cruise with Celebrity. We had a Sky Suite on the Constellation. It was wonderful. We booked our next cruise on the Beyond for my birthday in November. What are some of the amenities that aren't included anymore?

There were a lot of changes at first but then some of those changes were reversed back to the way they were. The changes that are in place right now from say 6 months ago are as follows:
-No more prepaid gratuities unless you purchased a cruise that included them before the change on October 1, 2023.
-instead of having a separate state room attendant and individual butler, you now have a retreat host, which is essentially your state room attendant and Butler all in one. In addition, there is a retreat team that consists of three retreat hosts, and a head Butler. As far as we are concerned, nothing has really changed as far as the benefits of that. You can still request anything you want and they will make sure that it is done for you. Examples of requests can be specialty coffees delivered to your state room in the morning, afternoon appetizers delivered to your State room. Excursion bookings, dinner reservations, any issues that you might have at all handled directly by the retreat team. Any special requests you can think of…we have not noticed any differences in the services. The retreat is a wonderful experience and we hope you love it as much as we do.

Hi Joyce and John, thank you for the awesome room tour. I will be in a sky suite on the Beyond in November and was wondering if there was any reason to bring my night lights. I thought I saw somewhere that the bathroom has some sort of light setting for nighttime, is that true? Thank you in advance for your reply. Hoping to pack less!
You’re very welcome, we’re glad you enjoyed it. Yes, there is a dim light under the bathroom vanity and it is plenty enough light in the bathroom. The bathroom mirror is split and opens to become a window, if you leave it open a tiny bit it will also illuminate your cabin just enough for middle of the night trips to the bathroom, you will not need a night light 😉😉

Hi Joyce and John, thanks so much for your detailed review of your sky suite on the Beyond, awesome video. I booked this exact suite for an upcoming transatlantic in April 2024 and was wondering if you noticed any noises in the suite. There have been some reports online of creaking and banging in some suites on the Beyond. It sounds like something with the magic carpet suites and suites that surround the magic carpet. Thanks again for the awesome tour! It's so nice to see the exact suite that we'll be in. We've been following your journey living "on the Edge". Safe travels.
Hello Joseph, how cool that you’ll the on the exact same suite next April.
We do not recall any creaking, or banging noises while we were in that cabin. Our experience with our first transatlantic, that we just finished, the ship did creak more during the crossing, and I think because there were stronger winds. It definitely was not enough to disturb or disrupt us in anyway. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching our journey on the edge, we hope you’ll continue to watch us as we have so much more I head. Once we get home, we will be posting our videos of our time on land and during the excursions of this 39 day trip. In addition, we have two years of solid cruises booked with 3 more transatlantic On Celebrity.😊

Does the sofa covert to a sleeper?
It depends on the room. Not all sofas open, when booking a cabin you would need to ask for a sleeper sofa if thats what you want/need. Im sorry I didn't respond sooner.
