It'd be must watch TV if you guys hooked a tuna with Tan on the boat. If you hooked a monster, he'd probably try to convince you to cut the line after fighting the fish for an hour because he wants to go fish for some tautog and fluke 😂
Been following you forever. Glad you graduated to your own boat, cuz that's on my bucket list. How did you become friends with tan? Married info the family?
I was in Rhode Island in the fall of 81, I was young at my dad's Navy reunion, I wanted to go fishing so I caught night crawlers the night before, I went to the docks and these couple of old guys laughed and said I'd never catch anything, my first time fishing for flounder I caught them as fast as I casted the old guy ask if they could use some and never got a bit, while I was literally slaying them
i am impressed with the big fluke conservation releases, myself released a ton of legal weakfish in the spring but cmon 16" is small for weakfish lol btw i also have that frabill folding net, easy to store on boat........
For the Nexus rods you use what kind of braid to leader knot do you use? I have an older Nexus model the 2-6 ounces and Alberto knots get stuck in the guides sometimes
Fan since you made a reel review and i was just getting in to salt water fishing beyond the avg walmart combo thanks for the video over the years 🎉🎉🎉 id love to see you on the water some point in life haha
It pains me when I watch my friends lose sinkers and rigs so fast.. granted it is extremely snaggy on all the fluke grounds up here. Old commercial gear all over, and of course rocks
You need a new fishing buddy? I'm getting laid off in about 10 days. Got a new kayak. I think I might drive up to try to striper fish and maybe fish the canal again. Take a charter out of Narragansett again. Then maybe work my way down to Florida
That's not a fail, bro. You learned something, right? Gotta have the right crew and get out there a little earlier is all. Maybe next time, push a little farther out past the fleet and do a lil trolling, while keepin an eye on the screen and try and find your own patch of life. You deff weren't gunna catch em if you didn't try, tho. Keep at it money, youll get on em.
Love seeing those big keepers swim free to make more fluke!
Love it. I was cracking up at your commentary. Keep bringing Tan Buoy with you. Best part of this video was his antics.

Thats some great fishing for flounder at the block compared to south jersey.
Out on the Block this week looking out on the windmills
When do we get a sea robin episode with Tan

haha thats great
I was 8 years old at that time and fished the same docks. Now you can’t get near them
@@kylebryer1111 that wouldn't surprise me, leave it to our government
@@darrellsmith5395 Do you remember the ship your dad was on. I remember the Carl Vinson was there then and the Cappadono
@@darrellsmith5395 9 11 changed access rules to all U.S. military bases.
Can’t wait for that first tuna! How far out was that fleet?
What year and how much did the boat cost? Congrats on that! I hope you don't abandon making surfcasting videos now haha.
Great video as usual! What rigs do you use or do you make them?
I make them.. I tie several kinds for different conditions. They're just glorified high low rigs or drag rigs for the most part.
@@ChrisMcIntee awesome. Thank you. We fished out of Montauk yesterday and got our asses kicked. Definitely loads of ling around.

How would the cannon ball sinker work on NJ headboats?

Another Sea-Money adventure!

About how far are all those boats gathering in the "tuna" area? Outside of block? Can you see land?
Offshore on a single screw is dicey…. Be careful out there Capt.
Tell me about the breeder size for fluke.
Did tan buoy get sea sick laying down like that lol
Nice!
How much for a trip out with you guys
Chris if I ever get rich, I want to come up and fish with you one time
Tan is always snagging bottom.

What state is this?
Confusion.
@@eriklarson9137 what?
Anyone know any youtube channels that target tuna out here?
It totally sounded like you had a croaker tied up around your neck all day, we need some old school sea money whistling mixed in on the new boat !!!!!
What kind of Doctor is Tan
He was an amateur gynecologist in the old country
hes a teacher. I only call him that as a joke
@@ChrisMcIntee I love watching you fish the waters I grew up fishing. I grew up in Newport. Come back every July to tuna fish
The doctor is catching some verbal abuse. Dead stickin king.

good point.. certainly learned a little bit. Tuna will be a long learning curve, this first trip was the obligatory first trip skunking.
Nothin better then sea money and fishing
Why don’t you go make mayonnaise.
Absolutely shameful Tuna attempt.
always good to see the boys on fish but the real star of the show is prof. dr. bouie
