Crushing Spillway Trout on Jigs and Falling into the Water!

  • The last day of a 3 day trip we took to upstate NY, we never fished this particular trib before, so decided to give it a shot. We started off using traditional institutionalized methods, ie drifting bobbers, but quickly transitioned to our more preferred techniques of jigging and plugging, and proceeded to catch our share of fish. If you only watch one part of this video, watch 22:01, 26:22, and 29:02. Original vid got demonetized, re-uploaded.
    I used an 8'6 shimano compre salmon/steelhead rod (8-17lb up to 1oz)
    Reel I used (3k)- amzn.to/4iMpNbr
    Fluoro Leader I used (8lb) - amzn.to/3PqDIqx
    1/10th oz jigheads used - amzn.to/4gLue4w
    My camera - amzn.to/3VNh2nM
    Lucas's Grundens Jacket that kept him dry during his swim - www.avantlink....
    Gloves we used - amzn.to/3Dpdv8N

    In a million years I would not have given that guy a fish. These are the guys that ruin our fisheries.

      Couldn't agree more , should of cussed him out when he came running over to press him a 2nd time for that bigger male brown. No means no , and you could tell he gave him them fish because he was too nice to say no and that guy was too pushy .

    Saying “mission accomplished” to the guy bumming fish out of a nasty stagnant pool next to a decrepit dam in the middle of winter is so funny

    I haven't heard "safety meeting" for about 20 years! Me and my buddies did a Tuesday night sailboat racing summer series from about 99'-2005 and we had more safety meetings than buoy roundings!!

    Snagtown! Was up there end of October and got a salmon that had a 4/0 hook with splitshot crimped on it and 100 lb braid tied to it buried in its back. So funny to see the "no snagging" sign up there.

    Next time you visit the tributaries in Western NY, be sure to stop by Captain Bob’s Outdoor Bait Shop. He’s a great guy and can offer valuable advice on float setups, along with tips on the most popular tackle to use in the area.

    Don't encourage that behavior from that guy bumming fish , people like him are part of the reason our lake Ontario brown trout runs have been sub par the past 5 years or more with Alot of cookie cutter browns . Should of cussed him out when he kept pressing you about that bigger male brown, and then you let him keep pressing you for more . Size limit is 15 inches and 1 brown trout per person and you gave him 2 or 3 fish including an undersized one..... Love your videos but hate to see you encouraging that behavior because you're too nice to say no

  • @DonTiremanjr
    @DonTiremanjr หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    you are lucky dec wasn't around, you and the guy you gave those fish to would have walked away with tickets for being over the limit and probably undersized on the one.
