He and phil rudd great simplistic groove drummers. I mean different styles. But they knew the importance of keeping a grove In the pocket and coming back around again
Nicko is my favourite drummer ever. BUT Nicko is very predictable and he has patterns that he follows in every song. Clive Burr always made sure that every song was different. I can’t imagine Nicko coming up with the intro to run to the hills. But still, Nicko’s style is unmatched and I’m glad both of these drummers were in the band.

he’s so underrated …nothing but love for Nicko….but Clive is a ………..killer
Clive's groove is tremendous. Nicko is a fantastic player, and much more technical, but Clive had that consistent sound and was solid as a rock.

Clive's tightness and skill are unprecedented! Nicko is great, but Clive had a more linear approach with precision and speed.
