Clive was an amazing drummer and a huge influence on many guys like me who started playing drums in the early 80s. His impact was overshadowed by the band's success with Nicko - and rightfully so - but Clive's drumming was badass.

Totally agree about Alan's percussion prowess. He is one of the very best I've seen live! (It's a short list of just under 50, not counting noncommercial bar bands) When seeing him/them live after listening to R.E.O. for over a decade, I was like duuhhh!!! Bobby Caldwell is by far an amazingly talented Drummer! He is in my top 3 Favorite Drummers. His biggest influence on me was his powerful, phenomenal playing on Johnny Winter And LIVE. An incredibly underated Album and Drumming performance. Never gets enough credit.

Carl is every bit as good as Neil Peart. He just has a completely different style. His soloing style was similar early on (listen to Welcome Back My Friends . . . .), but later stuff with Asia, ELP, and solo has taken on much more of a jazz style.
