India’s first floating market in Dal lake floating market - Kashmir is a nice unique experience for tourists visiting the state. This floating bazaar (market) on Shikaras has been around for centuries and is one of the few places where the barter system is still practiced in India. Fresh vegetables including tomatoes, carrots, tunips, leafy vegetables are among the things for sale, all of which were grown in this wetland’s diverse ecology.
