that first photo is honestly the best comparison - not just bc it's the biggest difference, but also bc 15-yr-old jamie stands in the same way that 25(?)-yr-old jamie does, especially in the shoulders (plus maybe i'm just imagining it, but it seems like masc folks have the same general 'vibe' throughout our teenage pics - there's something in our body language that looks vaguely not-girl, even when we were presenting as girls - it gives the impression of playing dress up with femininity)

I agree, you'd be able to pull it off :) I have one (I actually have loads of cartalige piercings) and I feel so much better about my ears now. I always used to keep my hair down because I was so self conscious, now I love putting my hair up :D
I have an industrial and it's my favourite piercing (out of 24, so y'know that's legit, haha). They're awesome piercings, if you have the right anatomy for one you should definitely get one!
