- This is a rare documentary made in 2001 for Channel Four, that examines the life and career of George Best shortly after he was given a controversial liver transplant.

Such a joy literally..a joy to watch, .as a a Scottish kid, we all said Law was better than Best...but we knew, we knew... but Best, Law & Charlton...an Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman...but no bloody joke... how enriched we were to see them,,,they made Man U fans out of us wee Scottish kids...in our hearts it was Celtic 1st & Man U 2nd and Stein and Busby were GODS to us...oh Lord but am tearie-wearie just typing this..- greetin' like a bairn and am no ashamed of it and wee Jinky...and mebbe Andy Irvine taking off on one of his suicidal runs from his own 25, making our Scotland look like France in their pomp ... Truthfully, I can die happy, having lived through those halcyon days...my dad lived just a few steps from Matt Busby's house, no wonder my hert was seduced and captured...
It's so great to see the real George, not the bullshit buffoon invented by the media of the day. A humble, funny, generous and honest man, beaten by his addiction. George modernised the game single handedly at an incredibly young age. After 1966, the game changed forever and not necessarily for the better. As a fellow Northern Irishman, and some one who has struggled with alcoholism, George has always had nothing but my deepest sympathy, respect and gratitude. He gave his all, he was the best.

@alslevie1986 why did you see george beat up his wife? And if its true then why has alex kept his name after they divorced. Has written a book or two about them. Will appear on any show for money to talk about a man that you claim beat her up. And all she does is talk nice about him and how charming he is...bla bla. She must be skint and has been for years now. And no where near what she looked like. She sunk to her lowest and a think she knows it by the way eamon holmes was looking at her as if to say a cant believe am hearing this crap. Alex went on there show 'this morning' to claim that georges spirit is around her and things move about the house. Like she felt as if some one touched her arm one day in the house and its happend a few times, her ciggarettes were moved to another room and other things as well. And her friends have had things moved to. I think its made up crap. As if george wouldnt have better things to do lol. Do your home work first mate. Ask alex for a date, Say you were related to george and thats you in. But am sure old alex will find her gold some where she always has but times not on her side. Angie is just as bad, his first wife. She kept his name and sold story after story for lots of money to the british press all through the 1980s when i was a kid. There she was at least 5 times a year in different papers saying the same old repeated storys about george. A think george said to that angie as well if its that bad then change my name we are divorced? So angie you are kidding no one. You are even telling storys that i told myself from my book. So how low does that make you, and change my name, you cant use my second name for money wich we all know thats what your doing. They went there seperate ways. But this leech kept his second name for money, but constanly got paid loads of dough for saying george was just a drunk and what? She was telling every one what they already knew. Then alex did the same. Woman are poisenend leeches, evil, greedy, can marry any man for money alone, a man cant do that. Men can only go with woman they like. Woman can go with any one just for money. And any one with no money.

If you feel injured please get help before you play sports again you can really fuck your body up if you dont listen to it even if you dont make it professional you still need to provide for your family
that was a completely different era.. no matter the sport everyone played injured .. not like nowadays we're athletes are pampered with incredible multi-million dollar contracts and get paid whether they play or not..completely different year of sports
