I'd like to point something out about what Isagi said in the last scene because it's kind of a mistranslation.What he actually said is something along the lines of "I believed that you'd manage to come here alone" which gives different meaning to Isagi's words.He's not just telling him he predicted what was going to happen.He's telling him that he had faith in him, that he'd manage to go all the way without needing anyone else - and that faith in him resulted in Isagi's prediction, which I find very cool.
Oh that makes that scene SO much better. Isagi acknowlodging Bachira instead of just diminishing all the development he got.
Crunchyroll pls pin this comment others need to see this it makes the scene 10x better
If i remember correctly, he says something like this in the German sub. When an anime on crunchy is only in English, i feel like the quality is often lower.
In the french subtitles Isagi literraly said "I believed in you Bachira, i knew you were gonna pass everyone" which is a good mix of the both things I think
That's kinda the takeaway I got when I first saw this, like I thought that's what Isagi really meant. Glad to see my intuition was right lol

It's crazy to think that the only reason Bachira didn't end up scoring the Goal was because Isagi simply believed in him and his skill. Isagi knew and trusted that he could get all the way to the goal by himself.
There’s a reason that even after going against Rin, the number 1 player in blue lock, he was still determined on getting back Bachira
and he was able to because he has played alongside Bachira in 1st selection
the aura changing to yellow...this was the best part for me, it was special
To add on for you, if it wasn’t apparent he had blue aura because he was following Isagi so that influenced his aura until he broke away from his ego and the color changed to his aura you see in the intro. Btw everyone has a aura color respective to their eye colors so if you see someone with a different colored aura than their eyes that means they still haven’t fully awakened
@@averyfigueroa8417 More specifically, everyone's auras start out as blue. As they evolve and finally awaken, their auras change to their true color. This is most emphasized with Isagi, as his true aura is green despite his eyes being blue.
The blue aura represents how each player is held back by their habits, fears and previous experiences until they break free of those limitations--hence the title of the series: *BlueLock.*

Some people say he was doing nothing during his build up but that's a whole skill called juggling where you keep the ball from touching the ground. The way he caught the ball behind his neck (neck stalling) is such an iconic skill from some of the greatest players of all time (R9, Ronaldinho etc...) and extremely used in freestyle where it's so unconventional it makes the opponent stagger. the way he was juggling the ball was so that none of the his opponents would commit to a full on tackle. That's how he used to dribble, before the monster even appeared. He finally claimed back his primal form where he can beat anybody on 1v1. That was beautiful, The fact that Isagi even beat him there when he has awoken. Great episode.

@@tganims9804 I think the spin was exaggerated not stupid. If you played a sport that deals with moving your entire body. Spinning is a great way to lose your opponent if they are clinging to you.
spin was exaggerated, also OVER 3 OF THEM? i can understand getting past barou, MAYBE Chigiri, BUT NOT Nagi. Thats nagis thing. If he has a god tier first touch he would read one of these touches. I've only seen messi get through something like this and it was because of his unique close dribble running. i love soccer/football. But this anime has a lot of BS.

Crunchyroll's actually updated the subtitles on the website which really changes the entire ending of the scene. Instead of Isagi at the end saying
"I knew you'd do that Bachira. I just knew you'd go it alone."
he now says:

Bachira's OST's always hit the best. But now that he's awakened everything's going to be more 🥵

For me this is probably the best scene so far in the anime.Bachira's awakening was insane in terms of skills, the entire scene was very emotional (the V.A. did an incredible job) plus this top tier OST.I was really rooting for Bachira to score this, but I think he proved himself without actually doing it eventually.
Bachira is hands down the best side character ever in sports anime. This part always had me conflicted, if Bachira were to score that goal, it would arguably be the best goal in Blue Lock! First time reading this, I found myself mad that Isagi blocked it, and proud of him at the same time 😅😂

The OST was amazing. I truly believed Bachira would start crying after finding his soccer again. Truly an emotional moment for me in this series.
Ngl this scene almost had me tearing up considering all Bachira went through and the internal struggle he had trying to re-find his true purpose for playing soccer. Props to the VA for putting so much emotion into every line, especially the "Goodbye, monster", and the music team because this instrumental went hard

Another translation for what Isagi said, 信じて“I *believed* that you would do that” implying only because Isagi knows Bachira so well and believes in Bachiras abilities that he could predict Bachiras next moves because she believed Bachira could evolve and awaken his true abilities.
It was the only translation possible after they got "That's why Meguru *believes* in Isagi Yoichi" right. It kills me that they keep ignoring the very intentional poetic patterns in Kaneshiro's writing.

Isagi never actually said that he knew what bachira would do it’s a miss translation, he said that he believed in Bachira and knew that he’s be able to get to where he is now himself isagi is just proud of him
I feel a quote that represent Bachira well is “Don’t battle monsters unless you become a monster” because instead of befriending the monster in him he embraced it and finally was being his true self

Anyways, for those of you that missed it: Bachira’s ‘monster’ was just the pattern he saw in his mother’s abstract paintings. Since he spent so much time in her studio he used it as an imaginary friend.

He juggled the ball. It was pretty clear.
In that moment, Isagi Yoichi's play surpassed that of Itoshi Rin. If his right foot that blocked Bachira Meguru's shot had been just a centimeter either to the left or the right, the fate of these eight people could have been different. However, the ball randomly, mercilessly, even cruelly landed at the feet...of the winner.
Best episode since team v finale, voice acting was on another level this episode
The animation for this episode was so good!! Ngl it's been slacking a bit, but the bachira and Isagi/Rin moments were animated so well!
While Bachira didn't score, he still reached his own goal. Both monsters noticed him, they saw Bachira awaken.
Only Isagi saw Bachira awaken, that's why he was the only one who was able to react. Rin was still waiting for a pass from Bachira.

Breaking down what he said, it sounded like (awful spelling aside) "Shinjishte, Bachira. Omae ni koko ni kuruno."
If he were saying "I knew you'd come," O feel like that'd sound more like "Yapari kuruno, Bachira."
So not sure why they chose to translate like that when there's a totally different context to "I knew you'd come here alone, so I was able to stop you" vs "I *believed in you* coming here/ making it here alone, Bachira."
It's alot sweeter that Isagi believed in Bachira's ability to grow and get thru 3 top tier guys all his own, rather than that Isagi would simply read his play.
