  • Say hello to Lightning Lane Multi Pass!
Each week, we cover the top stories in Disney Parks news and discuss the topics that are top of mind for the Disney community. All in 60 minutes!
Welcome to ParksCenter on WDWNT.TV! We're back with more news and discussing the latest happenings in Disney Parks. Join us live at 9pm ET!
It's been a busy week in Disney Parks news, and we've got you covered!
After talking about it for almost 2 years, Tiana's Bayou Adventure officially opened at Magic Kingdom last Friday, June 28th. However, there have been more than a few issues keeping people moving through the new attraction. Meanwhile, the shops are open, the merch is here, and even a few new dishes are available at the park in honor of the opening. We'll talk all about it.
In maybe the biggest news of the week, Disney has announced that the Genie+ program at Walt Disney World is being sunset in favor of a better and less confusing system with Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass! We're going to let you know everything we know about the new offering and give some opinions on the updated program.
Also last week, Disney celebrated halfway to Christmas by rolling out their holiday offerings for 2024. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, The Merry Menagerie at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Jollywood NIghts at Disney's Hollywood Studios. We'll discuss all the dates and details!
In food news, there is a new menu at Sleepy Hollow Treats in Liberty Square. Should you be sad about the changes? But over at Disneyland, our reporters tried the soft opening of the new Din Tai Fung and will want to tell you why they're so happy!
We'll also cover the new Hong Kong Disneyland Marvel Expansion, Oogie Boogie tickets are going fast, the July 4th offerings, and a look at the 2024 Flavors of Florida menus and scavenger hunt.
Join us for all of this and more, tonight on ParksCenter!

Share your thoughts on the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass programs. Is this enough of a change?

It pretty much matches one of my suggestions, so…yes? Less to do at 7am on vacation and you can see your 1st 3 LLs and decide if that’s worth it to you. I think it might do Disney good to let us select earlier - so we almost forget what we paid by the time vacation arrives! - but this is actually better for guests.

@@chloewildner167 I do appreciate you can choose before you pay, should be interesting to see how it works come July 24th.

I am really happy with this change. But I will be waiting to hear the reports on how it is working for people and figuring out the nuances. I love that pre-booking back! I think 7 days is fine I can be excited for the week leading up to leaving.

No!!! Don’t bring back in-park virtual queue in the morning! It was awful - especially when after all that trouble (get up early, take a Lyft because Disney transportation hasn’t started yet…) you STILL didn’t get a spot in the queue.

I think the best way to fix DAS is a form that needs to be printed and filled out by your primary physician and presented to guest services to get a DAS. I know it feels intrusive, however it fixes two problems: 1.) Makes it harder for people who pretend that they need DAS. 2.) Makes it easier on Disney's behalf that they do not need to heavily monitor the program on the individual level. Also since a doctor is giving authorization, if a doctor lies about their patient they can be fined or possibly loose their license.

Sounds good to me. And would help people who need it, but are currently being turned away.

I rely on DAS and would have no problem with doing that but others may feel their privacy is being invaded. Theres a lot of conditions that people don’t necessarily want to disclose. Example: end stage AIDS
The form would have to be pretty vague to protect those people.

@@spoonlessvalkyrie7514 again, it's something that some people are not going to be happy, but this will prevent people from pretending to be ill.

I dont know how you're using genie+ and not getting all the rides. I have used genie+ because we are only able to come once every couple years if im lucky once a year. We get up at 7 rope drop the parks and work the system and we get basically every ride in magic kingdom. And im not on my phone all day. I am enjoying the park, hanging with family friends and characters, and taking pictures.

Disney please fix DAS! Please don’t alienate the disabled! My 💜 goes out to those Disney fans getting treating like this. 45:14
