Battlefield 2025 is confirmed, EA just had their earnings call and said new game in FY25. Let's take a look at all the news and info. Leave a LIKE and a comment, thanks for watching.
They need to make a solid modern day Battlefield game. More in line with BTF3 and 4. Story mode that bounces around multiple branches of the military. An over arching war with segments of playing a tight knit squad of Marines one second, air force dog fighting the next, then the massive force in numbers of the Army with a segment of the Navy ships and/or submarines. A story that weaves all of these different segments together... different perspectives of this war and how the outcomes of one segment calls upon the help of another branch in the military. Have the player play as a main character from each branch. As a person who usually goes straight to online play when it comes to FPS games, I kinda miss having a good single player in an FPS. When you are on the edge of tearing up playing that one mission in Medal of Honor or the plot twists BlkOps1 story presented. We don't have much of that anymore today.
I actually prefer something historical personally, as a history geek, but I would definitely be happy if they put something out more in line with BF3 or 4.
I stopped after Hardline. I haven’t even bought the last few. Just played them when they were free on PlayStation, which happened to coincide with the time that they were actually patched and fun.
Dice started to follow trends. Cod had big playerbase along with newer battle royaleish games. They forgot they held literate gems in their hands with bf3 and bf4. They started to reinvent the wheel and cater to cod/royale players. Such a shame. BF2025 will follow this trend for sure as well and sadly I believe we will never see games like bf3 and bf4 again
The next Battlefield 2025 must be like this: - Modern day Battlefield with Battlefield 1 graphics. - A mix of Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 features, maps, weapons, etc. Something like a remake but much better. Old maps and new cool maps. - Classic Battlefield classes (assault, medic, support, recon). NO SPECIALISTS. - Good game optimization, no bugs, take your time to make the game and don't release it full bugged. - Good destruction of buildings, walls, roofs, ground, etc. - Battlefield 5 player movement. - A good balance system that fixes unbalanced teams and being able to change team if you want. - A good anti-cheat system that bans the cheaters.
Some of the bfv tank battles were so dope some tanks got american flags some of the jap ones had the foliage on them and they were all different but not uncommon during the period. I'm pretty sure all of it would fit in some theater from the period so nothing looked out of place
I remember we said this about 2042. They cut development on BFV and delayed the release by a year to give their devs more time. And it still came out unfished
Main issue is still the engine, Frostbite isn't a great engine to work in, fingers crossed between 2042 and the new game, they have improved the engine mechanics so that the devs don't have to waste time dealing with its inherent jank. Also the fact 2042 was cross gen caused them massive issues and a time waste in the dev cycle. Just bad planning by EA tbh 🤦♂️ also, although they gave them more time, I think they pushed them into that release window despite the play tests not being that well recived. So dumb.
Hell yeah I just pre ordered the diamond edition! Comes with an exclusive pistol barrel skin, and 1 hour early access into the beta! All for the low price of 200$!
I just ordered the "Brutal Expectations Legacy Edition" including a working Scoreboard and Squad System. It was just 69.99 but Amazon says delivery will be Fall 2028 🤔
Futuristic stuff is cool if it’s done properly. Ie 2145 which was an amazing game. However they just didn’t perform this right. Specialists I agree should’ve never been added
I really hope they take cues from battlefield V's gameplay, back pedal, class balance, weapon balance, vehicle trees and everything. I think possibly the perfect setting would be Vietnam era. Easily recognizable, new gear and old gear, good mix of vehicles.
Preordering is what made the current state of games what it is. Companies know they will get cash regardless of how the game is polished simply because of hype. If people just waited a small period to see before throwing money at greedy companies we would be getting much better games. Still, I believe a big chunk will preorder...

Bf5 is good, there's a big player base. The servers are full 24/24 on console and on PC. Peak of 60k players a day on steam. The game is great, you should give it another go @@MrCleman1
I'd love to see that as well. I don't much care for the specialists. If they had different class skins (camos, gun skins, customizable plate carrier/combat loads) that fit the class themes I wouldn't mind.
It’ll certainly be interesting. Interesting to see how they’ll cock it up again, while at the same time trying to tell us still that we just don’t understand how good 2042’s operator system is! Even though it…isn’t.
That's my decider. Unless they come out and say there are NO OPERATORS, NO SPECIALISTS, then I have no interest. That decision was one of the fundamental reasons 2042 failed and was just not fun, IMO.
Man. They will have to come out with just pure fire gameplay that shows us we are getting a battlefield of the caliber of old. No cinematic trailers. No hero shooter gimmicks. None of that. Battlefield.
I feel like 2025 is going to be a great year for gaming. GTA 6, black ops 2, battlefield, possibly ES6 official news (if nothing gets announced this year)
Idk, when they do release their game I'm never preordering their game again first off, secondly, I want them to make a game integrating the movement of BF5, the atmosphere of BF1, the gameplay of BF4. Literally would be so good.
I've avoided B2042, so I'm going to pick it up now since issues have been ironed out and I will be getting on the cheap as well. I'm going to do the same with the next battlefield game and wait a few years
@@MachFiveFalcon There's like a 1% chance that they do specialists again after the near universal backlash against the system in bf2042. They'd have to be psychopaths to try it again. Anyways the fact that they stopped introducing new specialists in the new seasons pretty much confirms this. I reckon the next bf game will be a return to form with 64 player matches and class based gameplay with cosmetics being similar to how they were in BFV. Other gameplay features are pretty much up in the air but I would hazard a guess that destruction should be making a comeback. Pretty much all of the feedback they've gotten from BF2042 is for them to go back to the old battlefield so I'd reckon they'd have to be mad to ignore that. Next battlefield will probably still be a buggy mess at launch though.

Did the footage look a little off to any of you guys, like when he started spooling the minigun before the enemy came around the corner or some other times when he just seemed to know exactly where the enemy was even if they were behind something.
BF3/4 were already pretty fleshed out. The only thing they were missing was a substantial European theater. If you're referring to gameplay mechanics, then I agree. We are a decade ahead after all.
I just hope they ring back in game communication like that’s a #1 thing you need in a multiplayer fps game. The devs behind the 2042 first release had no idea what they were doing
Do you think it's going to be just Battlefield and we're going to see it be a bit more Portal esq? Or would you want it more focused on just one theme and setting? Also it's now in my calendar for when I next need a proper PC upgrade.
I play 4 and 1. I have not liked BF since one. On e you started putting in woman in a WWII era fight and 2042 was a bomb from the start made me stop dropping $$
The back blast launching the leaves into the air since he was looking straight up was cool too don’t think I’ve ever noticed that while playing the few intermittent months I had played
@@UVP001 Didn't notice that the first time through! They really have polished 2042 a lot and added a decent amount of things. I am just not sure how many active players it has anymore. I bet not too many.
No chance that the devs that only just recently fixed the game in 2023 is going to learn all the lessons from this games development then applies those lessons to an entirely new game they have to build from the ground up and then polishes it enough to be fit for purchase in less than 2 years. No chance, none.
Battlefield has had a hard time since it went live service. I think a major reason that they were able to put out so many BF titles so close together from BC2 through BF1 was the old Premium setup. Sure it could be divisive since not everyone could afford to purchase it but at the same time all those titles were planned out heavily and the DLC maps were being worked on pre-launch. The live service is more demanding and while the devs might have a bunch of stuff ready for it they can't go dropping it all in big chunks like before but in smaller increments, over a longer period of time to keep players engaged just enough. I truly hope that their next attempt at it turns out better than the last two have.
Is like to see commander come back. Some real war feel support call in options for anything that goes BOOM, and Sqd lead support call in options for things that go BOOM, AMMO, Drones, and maybe gun crate. Also testing a proxy chat for team work and a more traditional spotting system for reveling targets for the entire team. ( maybe with a certain range paramotor. players near the spotter can see targe location) but technically with ear piece radio communication you could communcate to your entire army. I would agree with a cool down for spotting so its not over whelming and constantly used.
Mind you it says FY2025, meaning Fiscal Year. A company's fiscal year can be different than actual year by some months. EA's FY2025 starts April 1st 2024. So the next Battlefield can drop later this year.
I legitimately thought this year was 2025 for a moment and when I read the title I audibly said "No..." but then remembered it's 2024. I just want them to take their time and do it right.
If they made a 64p or 100p battlefield with 9 man squads with actual roles and a commander mode like Battlefield 2 all in a current-day setting, everyone would be happy. I hope that they'll realize that.
As a consumer absolutely I have little trust in companies anymore. Especially live service games. I think the only gaming company I am always confident with is, is fromsoft.
@@mikey22a Same. Another commenter said the backlash against the Specialist system was pretty strong, and they stopped adding new ones. So maybe a good sign? I feel like they could sell skins that look good in a Battlefield environment without standing out much and still make decent money - without Specialists.
Everyone repeat after me. No pre ordering! Maybe then dice will learn to release a mostly polished playable game instead of rush it out to see how many people they can con early on
Battlefield is so much fun I just hope this one is complete, go back to their classic textures and being able to build lil fortifications like in battlefield 5
EA/Dice have a habit of lying thru their teeth on the state of the games to meet launch dates.. bare that in mind, if you're sold on pre ordering, I definitely won't be pre ordering.
What really is a bummer is that EA/Dice will have an "Epic" preorder bonus for the next BF and the masses will end up preordering cause of FOMO before they even see real gameplay/systems at work.
I know it’s different genres but for their best interest, they should hold off announcing a release date until we all know when GTA VI is scheduled to come out
Yeah. I honestly have a feeling that 2025 might be a slightly dead year for gaming cause no decent game studio is gonna want to publish their game anywhere near the release date of GTA VI
Moving away from yearly releases is a good call. I really do think that we should all refrain from pre ordering this game to send a message of us giving them one final chance.
We need DICE Stockholm to make a new battlefield, 1 and 5 were done amazingly with almost cinematic feel to it with all the detailed animations and effects
To cover the gap between now and new BF I'd love Firestorm to relaunched as free to play and cross platform. Never going to happen, but it'd be great (despite the shocking inventory management)
So it’ll be in playable condition Spring 2028.

What's the point of pre-ordering anyway. Are some people that impatient?
I went back to battlefield 4 on the ps5 couple months ago im still playing now regularly
Great vid as always! And thanks for the info
I will wait. I got shafted by preordering 2042 and then 3 month later it was on game pass. And now campaign mode. Really left all mark after that.
I pre-ordered the deluxe edition that came with premium, downloaded 2042 to try it out again recently and have to pay for premium again..no ea just no. And yea would have got the standard version if I knew it was gonna be on game pass as well so lame
It was over a year until it came to gamepass
I mean, reasonable people have been shouting at you for over 10 years to stop pre-ordering games. You deserved that.
I'll wait for the first 50% sale 2 weeks after launch to check in
I appreciate they are giving the next release time to cook. I've passed on the last 2 battlefield games and miss the good ole days.
5 is good
I played Bf5 for like 20-30 hours and stopped playing after that. I bought Bf2042 a few months ago when it was on sale for like 10 $ and it finally is fixed after that messy launch. I havent played much of it but I had fun the time I played so it is a win ig.
Bf5 is good, there's a big player base. The servers are full 24/24 on console and on PC. Peak of 60k players a day on steam. The game is great, you should give it another go @@MrCleman1
Don´t Forget: Never Preorder!
I really hope we go back to the simple class system of assault/support/engineer/recon but I highly doubt that’ll happen.
I'd love to see that as well. I don't much care for the specialists. If they had different class skins (camos, gun skins, customizable plate carrier/combat loads) that fit the class themes I wouldn't mind.
operators is the way to make money, it aint going away
GTA 6, black ops 2, battlefield, possibly ES6 official news (if nothing gets announced this year)
He said fiscal 2025 though wich is actually this October.
I'm going to do the same with the next battlefield game and wait a few years
And the nameless soldiers instead of Specialists!
I stopped after CyberSlop 2077. The only game I've Prep-ordered is FF Rebirth because I KNOW that game will be great.
@@MachFiveFalcon
There's like a 1% chance that they do specialists again after the near universal backlash against the system in bf2042.
@@ONeill01 if its on sale worth it or just pay 10 bucks a month for xbox pc game pass, but beware do not type in chat or speak in voice chat, one bad word and one report will prema ban youre ea account now
Yeah imma wait for the reviews on this one too
i hope DICE will make 5 man squad, the Squad leader will have an option for arty ( like in BF5), and game servers like in BF5, we have a platoon and another squad always needs to rejoin each new round!
The Abilities of the Squad Leader were so cool 😢
Did the footage look a little off to any of you guys, like when he started spooling the minigun before the enemy came around the corner or some other times when he just seemed to know exactly where the enemy was even if they were behind something.
Wonder if this one will be ahead of schedule
very well ahead of schedule, surpassing all expectations
I don't think they will ever make such announcement again :D
It will be a "love letter to fans"
@@dammitcarl1082😂
Yeah Realistic Explosion, to their Franchise i guess
All they have to do is make a wayy more fleshed out BF3/4
It's literally that easy for them and they won't do it smh
no, bf3/4 are overrated af, boring ass vanilla shooters
BF3/4 were already pretty fleshed out. The only thing they were missing was a substantial European theater.
If you're referring to gameplay mechanics, then I agree. We are a decade ahead after all.
@@rteezy5683you definitely played Hardline
@@Sinatra2200haha good one 😂
Jack I laughed so hard when that friendly helicopter tanked your rocket. That would happen to YOU during a a live gameplay video.
It’s never gonna feel like battlefield again bc a lot of the ppl who understood battlefield are basically gone
I just hope they ring back in game communication like that’s a #1 thing you need in a multiplayer fps game. The devs behind the 2042 first release had no idea what they were doing
Like they say, all the Devs left to build The Finals (which is so much fun)

I feel like most of its complications were due in part to the pandemic.
I played Bf3 and Bf4 skipped over 42 because of how poor it was at release. Now youre telling me theres no in game chat either? Thats crazy.

As long as it's not a love letter to the fans without the legacy features like scoreboard. We need to temper down our brutal expectations.

Do you think it's going to be just Battlefield and we're going to see it be a bit more Portal esq? Or would you want it more focused on just one theme and setting?
Also it's now in my calendar for when I next need a proper PC upgrade.
i just want a launch that gives me the same level of joy bf3 did loading into operation metro rush did
Such a great map. I called it the Meat Grinder. lol I played it as well on BF4 Second Assault.
It's only fun because the other maps balance it out. If bf4 only had locker type maps the majority of the community would have quit
I love how they talk about the player base going up but I still often get put in matches with 50% bots
That and crown eaters
I prefer AI team mates over braindead people
Do you think we will see gameplay or a trailer in June 2024. An announcement trailer?
You did not just casually blast that jet mid-intro haha. That's pretty crazy lol.
It's already been 3 years since 2042 dang I haven't noticed I haven't played battlefield since battlefield 5 time flies..eh
dog it's not even been 3
Havent been playing this franchise since battlefield 4. Time definitely flies 😂
I play 4 and 1. I have not liked BF since one.

@Danny_Riot ^Came here for This
@@UVP001 Didn't notice that the first time through! They really have polished 2042 a lot and added a decent amount of things. I am just not sure how many active players it has anymore. I bet not too many.
As a bf4 vet I can confirm he mastered the “flick”
@@UVP001I was saying the same thing lol I never noticed this detail
It would be sick if they made it a battlefield game
No chance that the devs that only just recently fixed the game in 2023 is going to learn all the lessons from this games development then applies those lessons to an entirely new game they have to build from the ground up and then polishes it enough to be fit for purchase in less than 2 years. No chance, none.
Releases in 2025, playable in 2028.
wow its has been almost a decade since I bought a battlefield at launch (Bf1). It would be great to have faith in the franchise I once adored.
Nothing came close ever since…Freaking loved that game..Still do when i watch Brokenmachine do one of his runs..
Nice shooting there! Quick on the trigger man!
I hope everyone has learned from this past Battlefield to NOT PREORDER!!!
They certainly afford the bundles in the store
2042 felt like a reboot battlefield, hopefully this sticks to its roots with classes, distruction, and less arcade like game feel
I would agree with a cool down for spotting so its not over whelming and constantly used.
what is that music in the background in the beginning of the video??
Mind you it says FY2025, meaning Fiscal Year. A company's fiscal year can be different than actual year by some months. EA's FY2025 starts April 1st 2024. So the next Battlefield can drop later this year.
Yes
No chance
Bet on an announcement in May and release in October
I doubt it. I will drink a cup of Walmart bathroom toilet water if bf2025 came out this year
@@sascenturion well FY2025 for EA is April 1st 2024 to March 31st 2025.
I legitimately thought this year was 2025 for a moment and when I read the title I audibly said "No..." but then remembered it's 2024. I just want them to take their time and do it right.
same!!
If I was the CEO, knowing this franchise is on its last legs, I'd make sure this 2025 release is Battlefield:Bad Company 3.
If they made a 64p or 100p battlefield with 9 man squads with actual roles and a commander mode like Battlefield 2 all in a current-day setting, everyone would be happy.
I hope that they'll realize that.
And I'll still have my doubts
I love BF2024 as it is now but yeah. Being doubtful about any future release is definitely the most reasonable thing to do
As a consumer absolutely I have little trust in companies anymore. Especially live service games. I think the only gaming company I am always confident with is, is fromsoft.
Obviously you should. It is not even DICE working on these games anymore.
For that kind of waiting I hope the new BF will again have the naval stuff like in BF4.
Absolutely!! Who doesn't miss the BF4 naval stuff?! Some amazing stuff you could do in that game! You can't even dive in 2042🙄.
Don't forget BF1! The naval was amazing! Quite well integrated into what already existed.
Don't hold your breathe...
Unfortunately I think you might be correct. But perhaps the BF developers will see this and the light will go on.
Im from the future. It's another unfinished cash grab. Skip it.

I have lost hope in battlefield tbh. Cant wait to change my mind once I watch the trailer.
And when I see that Specialists are gone and back to nameless soldiers.
@@MachFiveFalcon im worried that is here to stay because they can then sell skins
@@mikey22a Same. Another commenter said the backlash against the Specialist system was pretty strong, and they stopped adding new ones. So maybe a good sign? I feel like they could sell skins that look good in a Battlefield environment without standing out much and still make decent money - without Specialists.

End of an era. First Battlefield game since Bad Company 2 that I won’t be pre ordering.
Wont be preordering battle field or call of duty ever again until they go back to how it was. Long ago.
Everyone repeat after me. No pre ordering! Maybe then dice will learn to release a mostly polished playable game instead of rush it out to see how many people they can con early on
The concurrent players for BFV vs BF 2042 is really interesting. 34K player peak in 24hours playing BFV compared to 12K player peak playing BF 2042.
Good reminder as always to not preorder but hopefully it gets good reviews worth a purchase and lives up to the greatness of old games we want
Battlefield is so much fun I just hope this one is complete, go back to their classic textures and being able to build lil fortifications like in battlefield 5
with how the worlds going we won't even need VR support we'll just go outside lol
true

Play some real battlefield 😛
Jesus Christ
lol.
I think it'd be sick if they stepped back into the late 90's, early 2000's and built the game around that time period.
This is one of those channels that I binge for like a month. Then take a break. And always get so excited to come back. Every video is pure gold.
I know it’s different genres but for their best interest, they should hold off announcing a release date until we all know when GTA VI is scheduled to come out
There was an in-game shirt that revealed the trailer date for VI along with a second date for April 2025. Just a theory though on that second part
Ikr, 2025 is the worst period they could release the next bf since it's a live or die situation right now
Yeah. I honestly have a feeling that 2025 might be a slightly dead year for gaming cause no decent game studio is gonna want to publish their game anywhere near the release date of GTA VI
Gta6 will be pushed back to 2026 rockstar always delays their games
There needs to be more CQB maps like reclaimed. Since they put that out, I've ONLY played other maps to finish weeklies for vehicles and stuff.
Never going to happen, but it'd be great (despite the shocking inventory management)
commentary = beast mode for Jack, taking out planes in 1 shot
I didn't realize how long this game has been out until now...damn.
That effortless jet kill in the beginning was so nonchalantly sexy asf Jack
BF1 was underrated. Great game!
Let’s hope the new game actually releases in a playable state.
