I love how in that one interview, she talked about how everything was done in a matter of 5-10 seconds, then minutes later, she said it was like watching a movie in a slow motion and the gun kept firing and firing and firing.

She makes her own injury sound so graphic, but her children's injuries are just I didn't know Kristy was shot in the chest.

Great videos Steve. I watched all 3. I’ll have to read that book. I read Small Sacrifices and saw the movie and there was no mention of all the things Diane said in her best kept secrets. I can’t wait to see what new stories she comes up with at her next hearing. Even her 2008 and 2010 hearings were the difference of night and day. The only part of her story that doesn’t change is that she didn’t shoot the kids and she sped off to the hospital as fast as she could. I had to laugh in 2008, she said that her boyfriend called her and needed her to go out and pick up some photographs for her boyfriend who was supposedly an FBI agent. And she said the reason she stopped for the bushy haired stranger is because she thought that was the person she was supposed to meet. If I were king of the world, I would tell her to either tell the truth or I’m going to throw you in a cage with a tiger and let it tear you to shreds. The choice is yours Diane.

You’re only saying that, Stetson, because no one has ever loved you in that way and no one ever could. No one ever will. Get over it.

From what I recall, I think Diane was the one that insisted that the cops go right out to the shooting scene and she wanted to show them the exact location. The cops thought it was strange that she was willing to leave the kids at the hospital.

You should get the book, if you can source it cheaply. (I bought it used). I'm pretty sure they did ask her if she would go along with them. Welch more or less suspected her from the off, maybe a bit of a test in his eyes? I kinda dismissed that even when thinking it - then. It doesn't make sense any other way though, to me at least. What cops would ask an injured woman to leave her children - who are dying/dead - to take them to the scene of a crime. They'd have to be either seriously callous - or suspicious. Not in a million years would I have left my children. Not to take cops to a crime scene even if they had the 'guy' lying pinned on the road. I never left mine when they were in hospital for anything minor, either. Not even my 17 yr old, much to her disgust.

Thejimsgirlful Maybe they could have done it as a test. Diane sure wasn’t a very good liar. You have to be really super smart to outsmart the police, forensics, evidence, trails that can be left, etc. Most people aren’t.

Save your breath. I’ve seen you around other videos concerning Diane Downs, aside from my own, and you’re not going to convince me that Diane is innocent. It’s just not going to happen. Along with the way Diane acted after the shooting and in interviews that she did, where she would be giggling and smiling and laughing while talking about her own children being shot, which ISN’T normal, I don’t care what her excuse is, she also has changed her story repeatedly. In her 2010 parole hearing, she mentions a guy she was dating at the time and that she was going to pick up some or give some pictures to him, and that he was an FBI agent. Diane NEVER mentioned that previously in any of her other stories or claims, she just said that her and her children were “sight seeing.” Also, on top of all of that, her story makes NO sense. First off, WHO stops in the middle of the night for a stranger on the side of the road when said person is a parent with their young children in the car? What parent does that, or at least any responsible parent? That stranger could be any number of things, and most people would just as soon not stop for some random stranger in the middle of the night because you don’t know what the intention is there. Secondly, this “bushy haired stranger” tries to kill the kids first BEFORE the grown adult who would pose the biggest threat? Again, makes no sense. Why would he shoot the kids, get blood all over the inside of the car from that process, and then only shoot the parent AFTER all that? Was he just going to drive off with the dead kids in the car AFTER he killed Diane, again, the one who would pose the biggest threat? Third, in one interview Diane did, she described her first reaction to this “bushy haired stranger” shooting her kids as “snapping back to her childhood” and thinking about the “trauma” that she went through. Aka she thought about herself before her kids whom were, you know, BEING SHOT. Total narcissist. Lastly, she comes away from all of that with JUST a bullet wound in her arm? While Cheryl is dead, Christie is in critical condition and has suffered a stroke, and Danny being in critical condition as well while having been paralyzed? If anything, the parent in that scenario would either be gravely wounded or dead because they were doing everything they can to protect their children.
Also, “judgmental,” you say? Too right I am. I’m not exactly the one who was tried and convicted of murdering my own children, and Christie’s testimony was just the final nail in the coffin in my opinion. Everyone suspected her even before Christie testified, because of her bizarre, unusual, nonchalant, and, quite frankly, disturbing behavior afterwards given the situation. No parent worth anything would be able to even give interviews after something like this because they’d be inconsolable at losing one of their children and having their two other children be permanently damaged as a result, or at least in Danny’s case. Diane not only gave and did interviews, she also seemed to enjoy herself during those interviews and was smiling and laughing and being all bubbly. Maybe because she’s a narcissist, and loves the attention, and only cares about herself at the end of the day. Which she was diagnosed as being. So yeah, like I said, you’re not going to convince me of anything. Perhaps Christie doesn’t remember much, but given how long ago it was, and how traumatic it was for her I have no doubt, maybe she’s tried to consciously, or maybe even unconsciously, blocked the whole experience and memory from her mind entirely. Regardless, there’s no doubt in my mind that Diane did it. Her behavior, how her book is written (it’s all about her and poor her), her stories constantly changing, and Christie’s testimony on top of it all, seals the deal for me. End of story.

Nobody in their right mind could think that Diane Downs is innocent. The Behavior Panelists is a channel I watch on TH-cam, they did a body language analysis on her from some of her interviews and they classified her as a psychopath. I believe them.
