The novelization is how I experienced this story for the first time. I knew about the game of course, having read about it in Star Wars Insider magazine in 2008, but, I didn't get the game even though I had a Wii at the time being that the game came out when I was in college and just couldn't justify buying something I had no time to play. I ended up getting both games in 2016, and started playing the first one before giving my Wii to my sister, and bought myself the Switch.

Wow, that’s an interesting perspective! How did the story compare when you played the game after? I’d imagine it only felt more drawn out in the game after knowing the direction of the plot from the novel. Whereas for me, the novel felt more truncated in certain sequences.

@@starwarslads Honestly, I couldn't tell you, because I'd only read the novelization twice and I didn't play the game until six or seven years later (I read the novelization in paperback in 2009 or 2010) as I didn't even know we had it until then as I was given the Wii for my space in the basement after we moved. I was going through all of the games we had, and that's when I discovered it along with The Force Unleashed II. So it actually felt like a completely new experience with the story because it had been so long since I'd read the novelization.

Love it! Question for you guys though: the word ‘lads’ is very British. Why did you settle on that word for your name? I’ve always wondered :-)

Before we started the channel, Sanak and I were part of a group with some other friends from college where we would discuss Star Wars. The group was called Star Wars Lads. There wasn’t much of a method behind it haha. Just friends having fun talking about the franchise we loved. Later, we decided to go forward and make a podcast. We decided just to roll with our group name because we felt like it represented the vibe we were hoping to create on our platform. A group of Star Wars fans who could have fun discussing Star Wars no matter their opinions. Eventually, we found a bigger audience on TH-cam than we had on podcast, and the rest is history. Thanks for the question! We haven’t been asked too often about our origins.

@ awesome! I love hearing stories like that. It’s great to reflect on how far you’ve come (and how far you’ve yet to go!). Keep up the great work!
