The Wraith Squadron trilogy are some of my favourite Star Wars novels of all time. While Iron Fist is my favourite of the trilogy, Solo Command is still a solid entry in the overall X-Wing series. Allston had to wrap up so many things in addition to connecting these three X-Wing novels to The Courtship of Princess Leia since these books are essentially prequels to that book, which had been out for almost five years at the time Solo Command was published.
@@starwarslads They really are. I'd even go as far as to say that they're some of the best character development books in all of Star Wars too. You could do things with Wedge and the others that you couldn't do with Han, Luke, or Leia. Particularly in the '90s and the fact that Lucasfilm let both Allston and Stackpole do what they did in the X-Wing novels is incredible.

Allston did such a great job with all of that too. These are truly some of the best character ensemble books in all of Star Wars!
