The reformulation looks good and i want to get it, but it kills me the original cannot be found, as well as the uomo noir edition they had come afterward. That myrtle, hazelnut, chocolate, coffee, leather, and cedar was a killer combo. Now its just iris, vanilla, and smoked vetiver. Again, I want to try it, but original Uomo is probably my favorite over all scent.
@@hamzameroui1167 the new one has studs around the spray. The og's valentino logo on the box is significantly smaller than what you see on the modern Valentino boxes. The big rub comes with the og and the very brief 2019 release. The box is the same and the bottle almost the same. The og has the batch on the bottom engraved whereas the 2019 will just have it stickered. The 2019 is much more similar to the modern day batches, just a few minor note differences.
My Valentino Uomo is 2021 batch (22U21YR) that comes with a cap and I assume it is the latest L'Oréal reformulation, and some asks if the smell is compared to old PUIG version, and I can say they both smell the same (just amazing). I need to test performance in colder weather since this is what this fragrance is designed for. Just I will let it to macerate at the moment. Edit: performance on my skin gives about 3.5 - 4 hours of soft projection and about 7-8 hours longevity (not bad), however on clothes, it can pump the projection to 5 hours and longevity to even 10 hours. The test was done with 5 sprays.
omg mine arrived today and yeah 2021 version the projection is soooo bad even on the bottle atomiser i cant smell anything it is sooo diluted my la nuit dlhomme edt projects 10 times better. this is such a disappointment 1.5 out of 10 for sillage and projection its like spraying tab water on myself wats the point?
First time with this fragrance today. It is my favorite fragrance already. let me see the reaction from the ladies today. It may be my signature scent.
Hey Rebel, I just found out that the ingriedents of VU have changed allot and that its a complete new scent. Just like how dior homme ia a completly new scent. Now VU got iris and NO coffee!
I usually don't pay too much attention to the bottles (except for Diors which are beautiful in their own classic minimalistic way) but the uomo ones look fantastic. Especially Uomo (the original in this video) with it's colours 👌 The juice inside is better than the bottle design though 😉
@@rottenrebels I’m an absolute sucker for beautiful bottles, but I try to stick to the perfume houses I love so I won’t end up getting stuck with pretty bottles and bad fragrances. I really like Valentino Donna born in Roma. It’s actually my only Valentino fragrance, and I blind-bought it because of Sandra first and the bottle second. 😉
What is the difference between the new and old Uomo? There are two, the one with the cap and the one with the sprayer. The chocolate cream is in the old one and you have the new one without chocolate
I’ve owned this one for over 3 years and have only worn it a handful of times. I need to revisit it. I always get a syrupy pancake smell from it (in a good way) Edit- wow just sprayed it on to try it again and it is really much better than I remember.
Just ordered it in blind buy... I'm a bit worried because some reviews are very negative... some say the new batches only smell like cedarwood and with very poor performance. Hope it's not true.. Great video anyway 😃
@@c-kit5502 it smells really good, vanilla cedar wood and Iris. But is seems like chocolate 🍫 the only problem is the performance… on my skin it only lasts 2 hours.
Thanks for sharing! I used to do quite a bit of layering with the edt and combined with several in the line. It works well with a lot of them 😊 Will give your combo a try. Thanks!
Hey man! Now that you have the 2021 version. How does this one perform compared to the PUIG version? Many people comment that the performance of the latest version is poor. ** oh, you already mentioned it on your video 😆😆😆 ** But anyway, I still want to know more aside from what you said.
👍😊Then you have two of the best.. Noir Absolu is one that a lot of people missed out on. And intense is to me an epic one.. This is so different to both and really has it's place in a collection.. Always enjoyed the original Uomo! 👌
Great video my friend 👍 I have this one as well and love it but love the intense little more ☺️ Have a nice one. Today i am wearing Velvet Tedy by MAC a great lovely scent that is close to Tobacco vanille but still different much stronger than TV
@@rottenrebels yes the intense is awsome 👍😃 Velvet Tedy is discontinued by now but you may find a bottle in MAC stores if you do try it. A very very lovely fragrance
Thanks for sharing! It's usually the other way around 😆 Most guys usually enjoy Valentino Uomo more than Valentino Uomo Yellow Dream. 😊 I think most in the Uomo Collection are nice fragrances. All well-made and smell great 👌
Peace and love. I have just picked up Valentino Born in Roma Yellow Dream. It is pleasant. It has made me curious about the rest of the line especially Uomo Intense
Hi!! They are different though 😊 So tough question to answer since it really depends on what you enjoy the most. And You already have the best one with Uomo Intense.. 👌 the original Uomo is a great scent! A classic by now that I think smells masculine and nice 😊 Coral fantasy takes the whole thing into something quite different though, with it's mix of soft and warm tobacco with a bit of sweetness. To my nose coral fantasy has a fruity kind of sweetness that's just so nice against that tobacco.. So question: do you think you would enjoy a woody and spicy scent with leather more than a warm soft tobacco with a bit of sweetness or vice versa? 😉
The newer version of this must be much different from the original. I don't get any nutty or chocolatey notes or any sort of gourmand. I get something super citrusy with vetiver, reminds me of Terre D'Hermes
Do yall know where I can get the og 2014 formula? I had the 2021 formulation and I didn't like it but people hype up the old formula. So I want the old formula or is it similar?

@@rottenrebels first of all wow I did not expect that fast of a reply. Well, I haven't tried any of them yet but I heard good things about the one that you reviewed. thanks for sharing! Interesting...L'homme ideal has that intense scent of almond in it which really makes it quite unique compared to most other men's fragrances. I don't get that in Uomo.
The actual version (and you can't say from outside if its the new or old) does not have chocolate, hazelnut or any leather!!! Its simply a fresh one, with Bergamotte, Lemon, Vetiver. What a mess! Its an absolute different fragrance and the sellers can't tell you, if they have the older or the new one
