Medicare enrollment starts October 15th. If you change to Medicare Advantage, you are not allowed to switch back. So make sure it’s what you want. It’s like an HMO which requires prior authorizations for many procedures. Do more research before switching. Do not rely on an insurance broker’s information because they will be happy to steer you towards Medicare Advantage due to larger commissions.
Hola familia...please like and share this video. I hope you find the information useful and that it will spur you on to finding even more info about how you can access healthcare services in Panama. Do you have any experience accessing health care services in Panama? Please share in the comments.
Hola Maggie and wonderful great information about medical insurance for us old people and thank you for keeping it real and yes jackie said Medicare advantage is used only for emergencies in Panama if something happens to expats, and this is big decision to make to go and like you said have some savings and credit card and do research and go on relocation tour .😊
Maggie i like a lot your blouse. I was waiting for some information about this. Thank you so much. I still need to wait for get retirement. But I'm going to Panama in December until March, to company and help my mom. And i get worry if something happens with my health, what to do. Thank you so much ❤
Some hospitals are just starting to bill direct to Medicare advantage There s a new company starting to handle the paperwork for the hospitals. Saw this through Panama Relocation Tours Jackie Lang recently. She was key in having this upgrade.
Yes, I saw that too but need more details. Her video mentioned Hospital Chiriqui. I need to be sure this is really happening, but this is very hopeful. Thank for watching and for commenting.
Great video!Important question...if a person calls 911...would they also be able to speak English also? Is it like North America? Can they identify where the person is? Thx so much girl!
Hola...I don't have personal experience with the 911 system, but from others... ambulance staff do not usually speak English. They will stabilize you and take you to the hospital where most doctors do speak English. I have also heard that the hospital nursing staff do not speak english. Thanks for watching and for your question.
At 15:22, I meant to say that the nursing staff might not speak English.
I like that focus on prevention. Remove the medications. My kind of Dr.😊
Yep... he is good at that. Thanks for watching.
