Hey! I’ve been a motion designer for 8 years now, knowing the ins and outs of the Adobe suite and cinema, but Houdini’s node structures can get mind breaking with complexity. Starting to learn it myself, I’ve been swimming through different tutorials and just wanted to say that the way you explain yourself and internal interactions within the software are the best I’ve come across so far 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 keep doing what you are doing! Explaining the intricacies of how the nodes are are interacting with the others is extremely helpful, compared to other tutorials that show you just what you need to know to solve one specific task. Long story short, this is the first video of yours I’ve come across and plan on watching many more. Keep up the good work! 💯
I think H19 added some updates for the Collision geo, because H19 ragdolls allows you to create your own custom collision geo for the rig. It's on my to do list, just taking me awhile to get there! Sorry for the wait!
Manual Method is good for deeper understanding of Houdini but for beginners it might be frustrating so i would suggest shelf tools instead. 1. Create Mocapbiped, Go to agent on the crowd shelf and select biped using select option and Enter . 2.Go to Populate tool and select the Biped and then press enter twice. Everything will be setup by itself, if needed ground can be attached later to the crowd source👍
I agree! There's a really small button to allow you to hide the shelf tool, but it gets tedious to click because it's so small. It's located on the edge of the left side of the shelf tool. Make a profile to save your current panel workspace, it'll be more convenient that way. Hope that helps!
God bless you bubble pins 😊
Thanks for the lovely comment!
The better explanations like always, your vids are delicious, perfect sound and perfect voice. Thank you.
Thanks for the generous comment!
thank you so much for putting all the effort into your tutorials, your voice is so relaxing and you tackle everything so accurately!
Thanks for seeing all the work behind these vids!

Thank you for the great tutorial, and NOT using the shelf tools! I love your node by node explanations and the deep dives.
Thanks for watching!
Bubble Pins, could you please make a tutorial on the brand new Agent Layer node, it's a completely different workflow. Thanks

Thank you for your work, and yes.. shelves aren't convenient. Have no idea why they take so much space in the UI since they're mostly useless
I agree!
