This is the second time I have watched this video. I would love to visit that farm and all those beautiful horses. I love horses. I rode them as a kid on the farm and loved it. I grew up in the Roy Rogers and Dale Evens days. Now at 78, I still feel like a kid inside at times when watching those beautiful horses. Wow!!!!!!

Secretariat , gets all my respect and love I have for horses. Clairborne Farm, ''is'' the Benchmark for all others in the Horse World. The pride of Kentucky and the Thoroughbred Breed. Thank you Mr. Hancock and your family. Yes, let horses, just be horses and have a wonderful calm life.

This is a lovely stress reducing video. I have a sense of, intellectually and not by physical experience, the work you and your farm do day in and day out. What I love the most is how you provide a good life for your mares and stallions. I like how you're the right farm for owners who want to limit their booking for the quality life of the stallion, and the equivalent for your mares. ❤️

I was there on July 31, 1989, shortly after my brother passed away, so I almost didn't make it there. However, I did, and I got to see Mr. Prospector, Danzig, Forty Niner, Devils Bag, Ogygian, Nijinsky II, Private Account, Ack Ack, Ferdinand, and above all, Secretariat. I got to pet him and received a lock of his mane as a souvenir, which I still have wrapped in the butcher paper that groom Bobby Anderson gave me. About nine weeks after my visit, Secretariat died. Memories of that visit have always been emotional with me.

It's a great place. I wish all the farms were like Claiborne and had the same philosophy. I am a Secretariat obsessive like a lot of others, but the farm is so much more than that. The history is unbelievable. Definitely put it on your list to visit when you are in the Bluegrass.

Wept at Secretariat's grave last October, 2016. Guide gave me one of the roses on his gravestone and I brought it home where it hangs safely today

I love the philosophy, history and tradition of Claiborne Farm now moving into social media. It is wonderful to see the team and the beauty, too. Best of luck to Walker and Allison going forward. Condolences on your recent loss. 💛

It is coming up on 45 years since I last saw Claiborne and it is so good to see these pictures. Say 'hey' to Clay and any others who might remember that Boston kid who was thrilled to be Bull's secretary for a couple of years 1970-1972. Alicia

Good, old school horsemanship goes a long way. The stallions are not booked to a ridiculous number of mares every year, and are not sent overseas to stud.

the dynasty! without Bold Ruler, no Secretariat. press on Claiborne. i don't know where the farm got it's name , but, Nasrullah, made it famous. numbers like Northern Dancer. i love working for people like this. people who don't only know horses, they know farming. i started out in Ky. , with Carter Duer. run a Fappiano filly, named Case, for steve penrod, at arlington park. only horse Sandy Hawley ever road for me. won by 15. believe Claiborne owned her. nice filly!

I have had horse jobs, and if I were not retired, I would apply for a job handling the horses in some way. I have stallion handling experience, and broodmare handling experience also at the Jordanian Stud when it was located in Olathe, Kansas. Yes, I was indirectly an employee of King Hussein and his Uncle HRH Sherif Nasser Bin Jamil who raced many of the stallions I handled.

How did the farm get its name? I have a long line of Claiborne members in my family line.

In 1910 when he established the breeding farm, Arthur Hancock named it after his wife's family, the Clay's.
