I love how it looks and get the idea behind it, but it isn't really a money-saver as you suggest at the end. Pricing out the components separately you get:
    $20 for a Bodum French press + $30 for a Bialetti moka pot + $10 for a plastic v60 + $30 for an OXO stovetop gooseneck kettle = $90
These are all well-established brands as well, so I'd have no qualms about long-term reliability versus a relative newcomer. Would be cool to see a review of this after a few months of you using it to see how it lasts long-ish term!

It'll definitely save some cupboard space if you want to own all of these brew methods!
      And it looks awesome

I take a 9 Barista, Bellman 50SS and 1Zpresso J-max on my camping trips. I wish there was a kit like setup similar to this. Especially a better steam pot.

I had to take a minute and count them all. I'm not sure if I'm sorry or proud to say I have 11.

You can still do a french press with the boiling base when using the J. Hoffmann Method, can you not?
If so, do you not like that method as you've indirectly called it ineffective?

Agreed! Plunging to the bottom isnt requiered and some say it may even stir up the grounds as you do so causing more of that slurry in your cup. Ive even seen a recent method that took this to an extreme and didnt plunge at all! It may be a bit akward with the heavy base but probs works fine. Reallly cool and versatile product though!

Not a fan of the "jack of all trades" devices as they rarely do any one job to as high a standard as a a single use design. Imagine it will fail fairly quickly as well. It also seems to be that in reality you will find the easiest method and stick to that. I have a Sage BBE for espresso and milk drinks and a drip machine with a separate grinder (Xeoleo) for coarse grind as its a faff on the Sage to keep changing the grind setting back and forth.

Aren't there a lot of french presses that have filters that don't reach the bottom? Sure it's only a couple of inches above, but I don't think the height will make that much of a difference, especially with something like the Hoffmann recipe

yeah, that part really is a non issue, you don't want to be pressing down on the brewed grounds to begin with

If your friends are that snobby - get new friends, not more equipment that is unnecessary to carry.
