Well explained and I love the inclusion of the troubleshooting part! This is indeed how I make microfoam using the NanoFoamer and it works out nicely most of the time. :) Sometimes I just churn a bit too long causing the milk to be slightly overaerated but doens't affect the pattern too much and it makes a lovely cappuccino :) On the other side, not churning sufficiently will easily result in unstable pattern (or no pattern at all).
You say “don’t start and stop” but the design of the power button on current models doesn’t necessarily make it easy to heed that advice. I’m happy with the texture of the foam I can make, but I feel in order for your product to have the best chances of success, that power button needs improvement.
Spot on. I have pretty strong fingers as I play an instrument but man, that button was made by a misanthrope. I have had no luck yet in keeping it pressed all the way through the process, and when I’m done my thumb hurts. What’s more, the amount of pressure that button requires, is likely to break its shell at some point.
The whole thing feels so cheap, for 40$ they could have included a rechargeable battery. The button annoyed me so much that I modded it to put a proper button so that I don't destroy my thumb on it... I really cant believe who decided for that design. Also, can you tell the milk you use? Not all milk is perfect to accomplish that result in 20 sec...
@@ganbly could you maybe quickly explain how u managed to mod it to a proper button? Id really like to do the same because when i make coffee for my family i need to use the foamer 3 times in a row and the third one is often times very bad cause i just cant press the button anymore.
@subminimal hi there! There's some possibility that you make in the future a version with on/off switch button and a rechargeable usb battery version? Because you really should do it! Thanks for your attention!
Will we get a new button design on the next version? So challenging on the button and an amateur like me its really annoying and hindering my progress on learning how to make foam.
After replacing the batteries it seems I still cannot incorporate much air into the milk. I get just a little layer of foam on top and that's it. Also it seems that if I submerge the propeller deep enough like in your example, in the middle of the pitchers it will not incorporate any air and on the side it seems not to create this vortex. Is this battery issue or I am doing something wrong?
@@subminimal after two emails with @subminimal I have found the culprit. It was the batteries. I have switched to rechargeable and the rotation speed is considerably greater. Today morning I was able to get my first real microfoam. I just need to practice now.
@@boxhunters i canot say I could recommend certain brand. The guys from Subminimal recommend Duracell or Energizer. I, on the other hand have had good results with a local unknown house brand of a supermarket in Germany. Rewe supermarket has its “ja” brand which is normally the cheapest you can get from everything. So I got their rechargeable batteries which have a capacity of 2300 mAh.
Exactly when are you coming out with an improved version that has a simple ON/OFF switch and USB charging? When you do, you’ll clean up in sales. No doubt.
That is really too little to get good results. If the impeller cannot get fully submerged, you will continuously be creating new bigger bubbles. I suggest you try just below the second dot, or around 130-150ml which is still quite easy to achieve good results.
Good video but it seems very dated now. Can you please publish a new video on how to best micro-foam milk (and plan milk) using Nanofoamer V2 Lithium re-chargeable ? Thank you.
Item won’t make micro foam. Ordered the Nanofoamer Lithium. Company processed payment and I received message it shipped. It never shipped and still waiting. Is this company a scam?
For anybody having problems with the button and sore thumbs, search for "NanoFoamer Button Fix: No More Sore Thumbs!" on youtube. Fixed the button issue for me within 1 Minute!

there is an easy fix here: th-cam.com/video/APG_3dLBacc/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Ha%27kai
The button has been updated.
Even the strongest person in the world would struggle to press the terrible switch continuously for 20 seconds.
The button has been updated to a super soft version now.
I’m struggling to get enough foam. I’m not seeing the foam spin either. I used to be a barista. So I’m pretty sure I’m not missing the basics.
I’m really struggling to get the milk texture correctly 😤😩 I could use some coaching.
can you please explain the design decision behind the button that totally not user friendly...

The new button has been out for a couple of months now.
Start/stop button NEEDS improvement.
You can modify it yourself. Just bend the metal bit that the button pushes down on
It has been improved already.
Any information on the update?
super fine or fine bro ?

@@23Adri Hey, what batteries do you recommend? Got the Nanofoamer 2 and can only get similar to your old bubbles on top.

Well whats the limit on milk? Ive only used up to the first circle on the jug so far, so thats 50 ml i suppose. I dont want more milk than that

my foam is always way too thick, i can't get the right milk consistency for the first pour
Send us a quick video of your process, and we can give you some tips.
Thank you so much…!!!!!
Can I use this to texture cold milk right out of the fridge?
Yes, but cold milk ends up being thicker, so it's not suitable for pouring latte art.
