You can have an alliance priest MC the NPC and suicide it into Saurfang to reset the Ony buff. ROIDS is great. Juju flurries actually hurt you here because your going harder than the server can keep up. Understanding the crit cap for white hits and Heroic strikes makes a big difference. Using the Gnomish Battle Chicken's Squawk ability is very nice. Sapper charges on enemies other than Elementals also is a great boost. Dense dynamite is a close second. Buff cap is 32 so take off Int and Spirit buffs. It's expensive, but flask of the titans helps out considerably. 2 shamans in the melee group twisting with Grace of Air, windfury, and tranquil air is also fantastic for this. Being fully enchanted seems expensive but also inches you up. Consumables like Juju Power, mongoose, mighty rage, greater fire resistance pots, the same for shadow and arcane pots. Restorative potions, free actions pots. Standing behind the enemies. One warrior having improved battle shout, all warriors sundering asap, faerie fire, curse of recklessness, annihilator debuff, zerker rage on aoe damaging bosses will net more rage. You BIS, especially hand of Justice! Stop charging or intercepting in and use that five rage to net more swings. You're not dodging anything or catching up to shit faster than it's dying with your attacks. Listen to call outs and the threat meter. Advanced bull shit.... Use bone reavers edge until you get the buff from it. Then, swap to dual weild with a macro. Only use 2handers on trash until the middlen of BWL. You can have 3 crusaders buff, holy strength, up at a time with the aforementioned style. Try hard methods... You can get the buffs on alliance if you are MC'd by a horde priest. The pet trinkets also are super helpful. If everyone times them well and swaps back over to their dps trinkets you'll find The rag fight easier. Janky shit.... Earthshaker weapon has no cool down, has about a 7 yard radius, and can be activated with melee swings, sweeping strikes, cleave, whirlwind, heroic strike, hamstring, windfury procs, hand of Justice price, shred, blade flurry, etc... It has no diminishing returns! This is a great way to CC packs of mobs in BWL and on. Combined with a coordinated war stomp, and stun grenades and you'll see some real magic. Frost Nova for fish in a barrel targeting.
Note you cannot use juju's unless you have the item in you inventory. That is to get the E'kos and the juju's, themselves. Juju's can be used on pets and other people. If you have a warlocks fire shield, the UBRS, a greater fire res pots, and a juju ember, along with a magic option to enhance the other pots: you can resist everything in MC without gear. To top that off, you can add a FR totem to literally get fire blossomed for 390 down from 3000
It is also good to note that all Salamander ppl use shadow bolts except Shazz, he is arcane. Prepot all of those 3 minutes at least prior to pull. There is the weapon swap macros for fishing for procs for multiple weapons. For instance, flurry axe, thrash blade, etc. You can start out with those and hamstring with HOJ and WF for crusader building rage to 100. Once safer procs, swap to the real dps weapons for more damage and more safer procs. They have their own unique spell ID. I was able to have BRE buff, and 5 saders buffs going at the same time. I was at 2800 so.

Do you think warriors should be waiting until the swing timer is up to use abilities as well? We have much longer swing times if we are running a 2H spec, and spamming hamstring to fish for WF procs has been the meta for a lot of warriors. Just curious about your thoughts on this ! Hey Alex, thanks for asking this! After talking to some of the best warriors in the world (pve wise ofc) it looks like you only wait for swing timers for things like Blood Thirst / hamstring, but eventually you will get to the point where you have so much rage you will queue a HS and use the HS bug (your OH wep is 100% hit chance while HS is queued.) It's also, not nearly as important for warriors and they do spend alot of extra rage using hamstring to bait WFs

the issue is with the swing timer proc is (let's say you are using swords) you get the energy for the SS more than halfway through your wep swing reset (2 seconds maybe?) if it resets your swing then you lost out on those 2 seconds completely, instead of waiting another .6 seconds (if you are 2.6 sec MH) and getting both that wep swing and the next. So waiting still is better, and that also means for shadowcraft since you will eventually use the ability no matter what, in the long run you get way more swings out
@@ghaithtabaa this depends on which pieces technically. Can you link your gear? As daggers I love the 5 pc energy cuz it helps my opener be more fluid situationally, but sometimes shadowcraft is stronger till you are basically fully bis everywhere, then you can replace

honestly i have 0 idea about cat dps! all i know is that there's alot of shape shifting involved in min-maxing, and watching your mana... but i havn't had any experience myself :(
This depends on situation technically. Shadowcraft sims higher than almost anything till you are full epics, specially for daggers. Buttt, that leaves you up to the rng gods lol

SS and backstab, by themself, DO NOT reset the weapon swing , BUT they can proc sword spec or HOJ and thats what resets weapon swing. Windfury too yeah. I see you explain this but is still a little bit confusing because you write on the screen that SS and backstab reset weapon swing timer. Anyway, nice job m8! :)
He Nebby, I have two (technically 3) Weak auras combined there. A swing timer, a resource/ energy bar, and an energy tick timer. I use them all together to see when to use abilities like Backstab or SS.
BTW, idk if I have to say it, but poisons do nothing to Elementals like Rag, and if you are a ROGUE I have a VERY specific encounter-by-encounter guide for you to crush the last few weeks.
With the bonus tip, are you saying to use your abilities right when your weapon swing timer resets or right before it resets? I always do it right before the wing timer resets and now you have me wondering lol
Right after your timer reset. So you are doing it the opposite hahaha :) so right after you use abilities, right before is exactly when you want to hold off
for instance, i've heard the best way for dagger rogues to go in pve is to smash backstab as soon as its up, no matter the weapon swing timer. (depending on the situation of course)
It still helps, but is much less important for daggers for a few reasons. You still have HoJ and (if horde) windfury to proc extra attacks, but you miss out on sword spec. Furthermore, any extra attacks you get will be less impactful due to using a faster MH weapon, and since your main damaging ability (backstab) cost more energy than sinister strike you don't use it as often, so the windfury/HoJ procs from abilities will be an even smaller percentage of your total damage compared to swords. On alliance side, it's even worse since you don't have windfury. Hardly seems worth it to time backstabs just for the 2% HoJ proc if you ask me.
There is a rogue in our group that just smashes me in dps, in better geared and have better weapons, when I check the logs, his melee is double mine, I've never watched the swing timers... Is this that big of a boost in dps? So only ss right after the timer resets huh.. I'll try it next raid
ya we have some more geared rogues than me and i've seen under geared people over perform just by min-maxing everything. The swing timer will definitely help, but also try to min-max your CD usage to get the most out of them and your dps will skyrocket

yes, when your timer resets and the bar is as low as possible use your damaging ability as a rogue, either backstab or sinister strike. If a rogue has thrash blade, hand of justice and sword spec this is actually very important :)

ya exactly! it's the abilities that proc and extra swing, when that extra swing is proc'd is when wep swing is reset :)

it's a simple weak Aura. I didn't like Weapon Swing Timer the addon, thought it was too ugly so i designed the UI I wanted lol
