      Great video, thank you. I’m just in the process of putting exactly this kind of set up together right now. Six months down the line and USB-C hub monitors are starting to become a lot more reasonably priced. I’ve just bough an LG IPS 27” 4K with display/data/96W power delivery, 400nits and DCI-PC calibration for under £400. This means I don’t need to have a separate USB-C hub as it connects via one USB C cable to the laptop and I can plug everything else into the back of the monitor which is perfect when you have only two ports in the MBA! 😀

    Im just using my MacBook connected to my 4K tv without any other external devices
    Using keyboard, screen and touchpad of the MacBook
    And additionally my iPad Pro 12.9 as a third „monitor“ via sidecar
    This is pretty clean for software engineering
    On my TV is my IDE
    MacBook screen browser tabs and other stuff
    On iPad Screen is Terminal

    It's slim, lightweight, easy to carry around.
    One downside, if you get too comfy with this key, then your key travel is shortened than most keys available.

    Great budget desk setup and informative video. I have the Logitech Z333 speakers on my desk. The aux cable from the speakers are plugged in to a USB port on my hub via an adapter. I still have the one USB-C cable from the hub plugged into the computer which keeps the single cable grab and go functionality on the laptop.

      @@JerrySchulze since you replied, I am gonna ask you about this monitor from LG with 4 side borderless design (MP89HM) comes in 27 and 24 inch. Only con is 1080p display. I know it wont be an issue if I go with 24 inch, but what do you think about 1080p on 27. I am not into pro photo editing, even though I do a little bit which when needed can compare with macbook monitor for precise colour.

    • @JerrySchulze
      @JerrySchulze  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me, I wouldn’t spend money on a 1080 display. 1440 looks good for a 27” and 4k on a 24 scaled to 1080 looks great.

      @AjmalShahaban 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JerrySchulze Thank alot for the reply!!! also there is another option in 24 inch monitor- Lenovo P24h-20.
      Pros are
      1) 2K res on 24" inch is crispy
      2) 1 USB-C + 4 USB A at the back. So, just one cable for power and display.
      3) Ultra thin 3 side bezel with matte finish.
      4) for the best price of $299.
      BUT, after a long research 😜, i found the one I need.
      1) 27", but its a 2K res. Its fine for me.
      2) 4 side edge-less design with "NO" branding over the chin of the monitor (looks like apple XDR monitor). Which goes in favour for the apple's GREY theme.
      3) USB-C. A must for a single cable solution.
      4) For the best price of $349. (just $50 dollars more)
      Its the Lenovo's Q27H-10. 😀
      (PLEASE DON'T MISTAKEN it for Q27Q-10, because the latter has a chin, with branding on the left)

    just a small recommendation for any one wanting to buy a K380 logitech keyboard
    the round keys are actually smaller than the square keys, mean while the space between the keys are wider which force you to type more accurately, and after long hours of typing on the logitech keyboard K380, my hands hurt a lot, so may be just me not getting used to the round keys, or may be it's not for everyone, anw, just a recommendation, I've been using it for nearly two years and still can't get use to it

    Hey, I'm not tech savvy lol. I havea Macbook Pro 13 inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 Ports. I want a 30=36 inch, curved monitor, that's compatible. I need it to be able to display 4 windows at once, with good clarity, I'm willing to pay up to a $1,500 if necessary, but won't be using it for gaming or content creation, so if you can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate the help, thanks.

    I didn't know these screen lights existed. Interesting.
    You can also look at upcycling older gear with adapters. I have some good analog speakers and bought a $5 Bluetooth 5 adapter that takes power from micro USB and takes a headphone plug. Works great!
    I'm also using a $15 USB-C to mini-DP adapter to plug my m1 air into a 2010 27" iMac in Target Display Mode.

    Got the same Samsung display fed from a MacBook Pro M1. I came from a 2019 5K iMac so I can definitely tell the difference in quality but honestly it's not all that noticeable. Have to be pixel peeping to see the lower ppi, and the viewing angles are not quite as good as the iMac, but really it's a great monitor for the price. Looks good, small bezels, also replaced the stock stand with one from Hemudu (Amazon), I'm more happy with as it fits my space better. If only Apple would address the sleep/wake issues...
