That day looked to be a great success before the first shot was even fired; a fine team of guns, good banter, beautiful countryside and fantastic volume and quality of birds! The camera views over your right shoulder in my opinion illustrate barrel / bird relationship required on those long crossers better than any Shot-cam.....3:24 shot on the first drive was textbook. Outstanding video Dave, keep up the great work and thank you for introducing us to Martin and his dogs, huge kudos to him. Best regards as always, Ed.
Thanks Edward The vast openness of the Scottish hills particularly here are fantastic for showing the best birds in the business and perfect for showing gaps and speeds when lining up for the shot especially on difficult long high behind the line crossers!!, you can make time to judge range drop and speed - culminating in a spectacular finish (sometimes) ”not” (always tho) 🥳
It must be good to be the second most impressive bloke in the film Dave. We have to look after shooting for the entire community; the only barriers are in people’s minds.

Dave another top quality video, the photogthery is fantastic! One question, do you do anything special to your barrels on these Brownings? Do use factory chokes? You were making some excellent shots as usual.
Dave, another video, great shooting! What ever happened to the video you were going to make whilst using steel shot, that apparently gamebore have got sussed and won’t be a problem to use on these high bird shoots. And the issue of your favourite Water priory signing up for a complete “non-toxic” shoot next season?? I feel you/ we as the shooting community are burying our heads in the sand and inviting criticism from those who challenge our sport, that we’ve grown up with and hold so close to our hearts. Surely time for us to focus on what will be available to us in the future and push forwards with it? However ridiculous it may be.
Anything to do with steel is a work in progress at the moment !! Simply because of the timing heaped upon them by our wonderful organisations- but Gamebore have stepped up “and” promise loads this season will be adequate for most quarry, I reckon most seriously high cock birds will be safe unless the industry get cip regs altered to enable better harder hitting loads👌
