    I had the artic 5 wired for 3 years and bought the artic 7+ wireless last week.. just used the wireless one once but I can say it's very comfortable, a bit heavier obviously due to battery but the sound itself is amazing. The quality and 3D thing + 7.1 work really well. While playing CS GO I noticed that it changes the guns/shooting sound a bit but I definitely could listen clearer and better and I can say I was able to hear footsteps a bit further than before.. it's only the matter of getting used to the new weapon sounds inside the game but overall I'm really happy with the headphones. Looking forward to playing more.
    PS: got an offer for 104£.

    My experience shopping around in the last 3 months. Penrose (too much floor noise, impossible to adjust volume through Windows only through headset, Bluetooth too gimmick); SteelSeries Pro Wirless (too much clamping force, uncomfortable after long sessions even using after market leather padded cushions; presence of floor noise unacceptable for £300 headphones. To reduce floor noise you can activate an option that limits the volume, but that limits also the dynamic range); A50 (was not happy with the sound signature. Very good for gaming, but I also use them occasionally for music, heavy metal mainly, and oh boy they suffer significantly in the bass area to reproduce sounds like fast pace drums, it all becomes muddied). I returned these expensive 3 pairs. And settled for the much cheaper SteelSeries 7+. It has the same sound signature and quality of the Pro Wireless in my opinion. Very long batter, 30 hours (no need for swappable battery as for the Pro). Fast charging through USB C. Power button controls media (I love this so much), you click once and pauses the song, you click twice and skip forward to the next song, press 3 times and you get to the previous song. And of all the 4 headset, hands down are the most comfortable for my head / ears. So happy! And saved myself a good amount of money. Hope this helps :)

    Add a bit more money and buy SteelSeries Arctis Pro wireless insted. So worth the price.
    With the 2 battery system you will never be in the situation with a wireless headset on recharge and you must wait until you can play with them agian. Simply swap out the one who is empty with a fresh recharged one. Quick and easy. I was about to buy the Astro A50 but seeing that they need to be put down into some recharge holder and all you can do is wait for re-use, I bought the Artic Pro insted and did not regret it. The price on them is a bit high I admit that, but you (usually) get what you pay for and quite easy EQ program that doesn't need long to configure.

    Which do you think is better for gaming specifically for fps games. I can’t decide between the hyperX cloud 2 wireless and arctis 7+ wireless. Went to best buy and almost grabbed the 7+ but haven’t seen much reviews about it

    • @Risc_Tech
      @Risc_Tech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Kaze...Thanks for the question. Unfortunately I haven't tried out the HyperX Cloud 2 Wireless yet but after some research, they seem like a solid option. They are essentially rebranded Takstar Pro 80s which are studio headphones and will have an excellent audio profile. These are just modified to include a mic. Which is amazing considering they're $50 cheaper than the 7+s when I checked prices. However, they do seem like they can be a little tight, based on what I've read (I've noticed this with other HyperX headsets as well). I think you'd definitely want to try them on before committing, or at least take advantage of HyperX's or Amazon's return policy if they aren't comfortable. Just note, I mentioned in my video your ears are going to be touching the driver on the Arctis 7+, so you'll probably want to upgrade the ear cushions to larger ones anyways, so that's more money right there. Hope that helps, I'll add this headset to my list to review!

    • @Risc_Tech
      @Risc_Tech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Perry Plays Hey, thanks for the question. Although I have yet to review the HyperX Cloud 2, let's see if this helps. There are a few areas to touch on quickly.
      Audio: If you're looking for a new headset primarily for audio and you're between these two, hands down the Blackshark V2 is the way to go.
      Mic: The Mic on the Blackshark V2 was very sensitive and easily picked up tons of background noise. Maybe with more tweaking of the software, you can significantly reduce this. But based on the audio samples of mic tests I've heard from Cloud 2, it seems like Cloud 2 definitely wins in this regard. Note, however, that Cloud 2 doesn't have app software like Razer does.
      Build Quality: Cloud 2 has solid build quality with the materials. I'm not a fan of exposed wires just for the purposes of them getting snagged and ripped from the headset, so I definitely don't love Cloud 2's wire setup. Blackshark V2 also has exposed wires but at least it's down the middle between the metal wires connecting the band to the ears. However, I'm worried about how sturdy those metal wires are.
      Long story short, it's basically 50/50 to me without having reviewed the Cloud 2 personally but if audio is your determining factor then I would go with Blackshark V2.
      Hope this helps!

    I'm fairly happy with my purchase, but there are definitely annoying changes to be had.
    For example, on the Arctis 7 2019 the mic light was pulsing while charging when the headset was turned off. Now they changed the indicator to the power button, which (at least to me) makes it a lot less clear if the headset is off and charging.

    Narrow head people: this headset will not work for you. The combination of the cloth material on the headband and the low clamping force will have it sliding straight off the front of your head. If I dipped my head even 2 degrees downward it would just slip off. Otherwise, pretty good headset. The volume didn't go that loud and the mic quality wasn't the best while wireless. I would not try to stream on this mic, while the HS80 is borderline studio quality. My friend with regular 7 has VERY GOOD mic quality so I was surprised to see this 7+ didn't quite measure up. Positives are awesome sidetone and mic position. Good battery life and high quality feel. The tuning out of the box is excellent for Valorant. Punchy bass and brings the sounds alive in game.
    As I mentioned I exchanged for the Corsair HS80. Build quality feels a LITTLE lower, but the headset is very comfortable, sounds good, and gets really loud. The mic quality is exceptional for any headphone mic let alone wireless. I also prefer the flip up to mute feature as compared to all the other styles and the button for mute on the 7+ was tiny, YMMV.

    I tried this one on the store today and it couldn't fit my head. Even if I loose the band all the way through and tried adjusting the metal frame from a vertical position of my head to a bit closer on my forehead bc it's the lower part to put than the back., but, sadly, it made no difference. The pads are still squishing the bottom part of my ears. And my ears are small. And it felt like this would cause fatigue when used for hours.
    Also, I tried arctis 9 and Pro but they are all the same length. The only comfortable I got to wear was the Arctis 1 wireless. Really, comfortable, a little lighter bc is more plastic. But it keeps my ears tucked in nicely. 🎧😌
    I just like the retractable mic on the 7+.

      @@mavstorm4588 The Arctis 7X appears to be compatible with Playstation 4 and 5 as well, according to their website!

    Got one a day ago, worst headset by far, I originally had the normal 7s and they were much better. Not sure if I had a defective headset but the beep noise it makes when turning off/on is VERY annoying, the beep pierces through your eardrum, compared to the 7s which is a medium noise beep. And the mic sidetone is turned on for a few seconds when you turn it on, even though I have it off in the settings. Would had been a good upgrade if they kept the same noise and other things from the previous arctis 7 instead of changing things up which weren't an issue to begin with.

    I really REALLY wanted the Arctis 9 but having no type C charging is a deal breaker, I really wish they would've come out with a 9+ idk what they're waiting for.

      Yeah, I've seen a lot of people asking for this as well. Not sure what the hold up is as SteelSeries hasn't given any indication yet.

    steelseries headsets are so0 overrated, i think HyperX headsets are much better.

    Certainly not. This is by far the worst headset for the price I have had a chance to use. Constant hissing in a $180 headset? That a joke? Refund in progress.
