Tradesman are so very underrated. Love mine!!! I have a 2019 1500 classic tradesman, same color combo. Standard cab, short bed, 2wd 5.7 hemi, with a century cap... runs 13.80's at 101mph in the quarter-STOCK! Only drawback is the 3.21 or .23 open rear end, but still tows my mustang on a car hauler. Changing that soon. Powdercoated the wheels black. LOVE my 3 cupholders! Couldnt have it any other way. I even have manual locks and crank windows! Better that way, less crap to go bad! The bonus is everybody thinks I have leather! When I tell em no, they say, ohhhh synthetic leather... nope. I tell them that back in the day, that synthetic leather was call VINYL, just like this!😁

What does the Power Wagon package add.
I have watched a good bit of your reviews and in my opinion you should be a bigger channel. At least teaming up with TFL. I happen to get a 2500 6.4 from chriswell in thurmont. You helped me with my choice. Keep up the good work.

Power wagon package was offered on my 18 tradesman. Crew. Long bed. 6.4 Hemi
It had the off-road package already with the shocks.
I bought a 15 tradesman with the chrome package..aka 18 inch wheels bumpers and grill .. 6.4 hemi. Rode great, plenty of power out the of 3.73 diffs had about 175000 when I sold her . Still have my 14 power wagon in SLT package with 4.10 diffs
This is the way to go if you like to customize...bumpers, wheels, etc
Had a 2018 f250 6.2l 15k miles, traded for a 2020 Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 5.7l 3k miles since the F250 would not fit in garage. Son was shopping 1/2 ton trucks and this chip issues has drove used 1/2 tons to cost more than a new tradesman. Gave him my 1500 and traded in his 2017 4runner on a 2021 6.4l 4x4 tradesman. Like it much better than the F250 and it fits in my garage (barely).
Love that floor shift transfer case.
its still electronic, just like the column shifter for tranny..
Hi thanks for taking the time in making these videos. You helped me make the decision in purchasing a 2022 trades man 6.4 hemi, got a good deal on it. Wanted to ask you, is it common to hear minor wind noise on the passenger side when going over 70 mph? It sounds as if the window is slightly open and you hear the wind but its only on the passenger side i hear this when im on the highway. Its not unbearable but slightly noticable. Just curious if this is something common with rams especially 2500's? Thanks for your time

Couldnt agree more with the trademan beating out the highest trim models from older trucks. My 2001 ram has nothing. Ram 2500 tradesman will definitely be my next truck.

2020 you can get the tradesmen power wagon-package. I have it red and chrome package .Also have the Blindspot monitoring. And the power mirrors.

I think that truck also has the snow chief package. That's why it has the auxiliary switches.
Mine has the 5th wheel and tow technology along with snow prep package I really would like it came with the auxiliary switches.
I got a 2021 ram 2500 tradesmen crew cab as well but mine came with the Chrome package which does give you the tow hooks in the front bumper only thing I wish it came with is the 8.4 display I do not have the 4.10 however that's 6.4 Hemi still will break the tires loose even with the other rear-end, I live in Las Vegas and we are 2000' above sea level I took it to the drag strip and getting the most grip out of the rear end I got that truck to run a 15.7 in a quarter mile which was about as fast as a 1/2 ton truck in truck with a curb weight of 6400lbs
If you get the crew cab you can also get the blind spot detection in the towing technology group

Ram is killing the compition
some black wheels would look great with the black bumpers and grill. hoping to upgrade to a dodge 2500 from a Chevy 1500 in the next year or so.

If you get the safety group the mirror and camera system for the Adaptive cruise control is much larger larger. I'm 6' 5 and it created too much of a blind spot in the middle of the windshield for me so if you're tall be wary

Finding a 2500/3500 Tradesman with (nearly) everything you want will take some searching. Might want to consider a Chassis Cab (aka Box Delete on 2500) to get want you want. Definitely recommend the 4:10 rear end. Also, the Aux Switch option you showed gets you a nicer I/P Display too (more info). Lastly, Baja Designs has a nice LED Fog Lamp Upgrade package specifically made for the 2019+ MY Tradesman (looks factory).

If it was possible I wouldn’t want the upgrade package but I would if possible after market tow hooks and wheel package.

A 31 GALLON FUEL TANK oh man I wouldn't want to see how much that costs to fill up! Let's go Brandon.... haha I mean I like the Billet Silver and black trim a lot. I do agree the tires seem small for the truck but I could get bigger ones aftermarket no worries. I love it. Good review!

The 2500 tradesman with the power wagon package. larger wheels, safety package, tow package with mirrors, & ram box , also level 2 equipment group worth consideration compared to a full fledged power wagon. Going to checkout Ram Canada web site.
In any case have to wait to 1st. quarter of 2022 to order. have several mods in mind. larger tires / wheels first on list.
A tradesman PLUS aux switches that the power wagon doesn't have. Cost difference with a large down payment a factor.

Not a bad truck for under $50k (US). I’m surprised it has the sliding rear window…I was shocked how many I saw for sale here (in western Canada) that didn’t even have rear defrost! I agree with the tow hooks. C’mon Ram, $75 option it should just be standard. Same with those terrible looking wheels/tires, they look SO undersized for the 2500.
Tradesman is the sh*t so underrated esp when you get it with equipment group 2 and carpet delete. Has the highest payload and oh if you wana be more badass get the Power Wagon package which is affordable and IMO looks better than regular PW.

@@carguy0389 it is still a power wagon I’m just saying the tradesmen power wagon looks better to me than the Laramie power wagon because it looks more like an off-road vehicle rather than some fancy high-end vehicle I don’t know obviously they both look good and maybe it’s just the saving of 10 to 15 grand makes me think it looks better lol

Appreciate your reviews mate. I was really surprised to see how smooth it rode, but I hear the roads in the USA are pretty smooth? Are you able to please tell me in your opinion the difference how the ride quality compares to the 1500? I’m in the land of oz 🇦🇺 and about to pull the trigger on a tradesman but torn between the two. Has it improved since the last generation of 2500’s?
Thanks, it is one of the better riding HD trucks, maybe tied with GM with their IFS. The air suspension option makes it even better or if you get the off-road package with the Bilsteins 👍🏾

Just don't get the 3500! They ride terrible! And I really don't like the work truck models. All hard plastic inside. At least get a bighorn. Way way more comfortable
Hey JB, quick question? Are the packages for a 2500 the same as in the 3500? For example: the towing technology group with the LED head/ fog lights or the safety group? I know payload/ towing #’s are obviously higher in the 3500. But I’d like to know if the packages differ between the model’s. Looking to order one later in December. And thanks for your reviews, you understand us the people who can’t afford 60k+ trucks lol
The packages are the same with the exception of the off-road package which is not available with the 3500

Actually once it's warm lots of engine builders say full throttle acceleration well help it break in and seat the rings. If you never do that it'll use oil and never have as much power over the life of the vehicle. Just a different opinion...😄
Not ram, get in and work it/drive it!
I had a power wagon and to be honest it's a pain in the ass if you wanna find a lift or any suspension for it due to the sway bar disconnect. I bought a 6 inch pro comp lift and had to modify it and not utilize sway bar disconnect. Like almost every suspension mod, minus maybe Carli; always says "does not fit power wagon model".

I bought a 2022 tradesman just like this one but black and will be here tomorrow! I got a 3" f/ 1.5" rear leveling kit and some 35s. I'm not going crazy this time lol.

You can't say that the tires aren't built for heavy towing just because they're not 18" in diameter. They are LT rated, which means they are 10 ply and can handle the same load, if not more, of an 18" wheel diameter in that same tire. Look at the weight rating, not the size. What you're stating there is not true and dies a disservice to that truck. Actually, you know about GVWR - that base truck may have a HIGHER payload and towing rating than an "upgraded" one.

The benefit of the 245/70-17 tires. Is when a guy puts on 295/70-17 or 35x12.5-27 tires on 17x9 rims. The wife would most likely like the appearance and ride improvement. Women look at their ride like the living room. And they want the truck to look good too. The chrome clad 18" wheels are a waste of money. They are only 8" wide. And decent tires will wear better on a 9" or 10" wide wheel. Besides the 275/70-18 tire. Will want to start sinking in. On loose, soft or wet soils.

my complaints on this truck : no bed step, the seats comfort & quality(seat covers are great though), no brake controller but a class 5 hitch?? come one man!, rear wheel wells appear made to catch dirt and debris, and the tires are not great anywhere off the pavement, this thing rides like a drunk mule down a steep hill full of boulders, android auto kinda sucks, sometimes i want the phone call in private-this is apparently not easy and seemless. Things i like? class 5 hitch(less likely it will be stolen when they realize it wont fit), i like the plugin in the back, i like the cam in the back-wish there was for the bed, this truck is fast and gets bad gas milage when i make that impressive sound a lot, the radio is more than sufficient and lastly, i love the power bed window.
The 1990 seats are good

On my 2019 2500 Laramie Hemi with the 4.10 rear end, I get about 19 mpg on the highway with mine on a long trip. Towing between 11 and 13 mpg

Had the 2021 Chevy custom for 2.5 years , traded it for a Ram 2500 tradesman , love the Ram over the Chevy and I’ve been a GM guy for 20 years . Ram all the way .

That’s awesome, the Tradesman will definitely land you more payload and I strongly recommend the air suspension if you’re towing frequently or just want the best ride 👍🏾

Seriously dodge needs to remake the 345 hemi to make more power. It's been the same basic blueprint since it was first introduced in the ram back in '03 and the power to its size is just not that good at all. A gt stinger makes just a little less hp and tq and it's a turbo v6

HD trucks are about pulling loads, not the quarter mile or top end. Big difference in purpose, thereby big difference in how it's set up.
The HD truck is not 345 ci or 5.7L. It's 6.2 liters, which is 370 ci.

Negative, the tradesman is not the best option. 6.7 liter diesel will be the best purchase because you can pull or tow 20k lbs. Also, the rear suspension coil springs makes the truck bounce alot on the freeway. I have both so........yeah
You have that option of getting that engine with the tradesman so……yeah

If your a true tradesman or rancher/farmer this is the truck for you, if your a city boy then get the higher editions.
How can you beat rubber floor with rubber floor mats & vinyl seats with the most simple dash & console.
My truck just hit 100,000 miles it a 2021
