I would have never imagined finding my hometown on youtube. It's really nice to see people also enjoying the smaller citys and villages in Germany :D I can also recommend visiting during September since there will be the "Zwiebelmarkt". Its a large market across the whole city where you can also buy a lot of handcrafted items
I stayed in Boppard a nice little town along the river Rhine, from there my wife and me took day trips along the river visiting other towns like Koblenz, the Resling wine is the best, you can visit wineries along the Mosel River, very close too.

Don't spend the night there. All night the churchbells mzke noise every 15 minutes and early in the moorning they sre rinhing for 15 min continuously.
