I knew his story as soon as I seen him. It's a story as old as I am. Peacewalkers we called them. lol As a teenager who grew up in the Phillips park area, we ran into his kind all the time. We would go home and make sandwiches and return to hear their stories as our parents freaked out they would abduct us. 🙂

I really don’t think he’s crazy. He’s just a little mixed up on what he believes the Bible says. I think if someone showed him out of the Bible, the truths that are there he might change some of his mixed up thinking. Good for you, Matt for spending some time with him.❤️
This was interesting. I would've asked a few more direct questions but Seems like a disciple and trying to spread the word and live by simple means counting on God to provide whatever he needs . We all do things differently and shouldn't be judgemental of others even as hard as it is not to .

@redranger3370 The police told him he wasn't welcome. They offered him jail time or a free ride out of the county. He chose the free ride. He was down by Lake St Clair for a while not sure where he's at now.
I do not believe he is mentally ill. He is quoting scripture accurately and his thoughts are correct. However, he is more legalistic (Pharasee, God's laws) thinking. He is doing as God commands to bring people to Christ, but not doing it the way Jesus did. He is being judgmental and is frustrated because he's trying to bring people to Christ his way, and not God's way. That is why he is not being fruitful. Most people don't want to hear God's word the way he's doing it. No one wants to feel they are being spanked. Show kindness, show love, be helpful.
I don't think he's mentally ill to the point where he should be put in a mental institution or anything like that. I'm a Christian and read my Bible daily. His mental illness definitely has nothing to do with him talking about God. I think his family leaving him really messed him up. I think he needs someone to care for him more than anything.
