I notice a lot of senior accountant roles in industry require experience in month end closes, financial statement preparation, and accounting software like Quickbooks. Did you have issues translating your audit experience to industry skills when interviewing?

After getting my CPA would it be more beneficial for me to leave to get some public accounting experience and return to banking or apply for a position with my accounting department and work my way up the ranks that way? Here’s a question…when is it too late to consider becoming CPA. I’ve worked in accounting for over 10 years and earn a decent salary. But I noticed job posts are requiring certifications regardless of years of experience
If you are already an Accountant, I don't think there is a limit (but not 70 obviously). I would think even if you are 50, CPA will give you a great ROI on the effort (but the younger, say 25-40, the better)
