I think it's fully within Hello games stride to add the ability to just replay any expedition, it would take a lot of power out of the save editing arguments & allow for people who missed out to get stuff they want - I love the idea of 'limited items' but not everyone shares my opinion and that's fine
Honestly it'd help the fomo cause I like to wait 2-4 updates before playing but by then I missed a couple of expeditions, plus I end up starting completely over on ps5 with worlds pt 1. I wish they would add the worm eggs to the nest so I can get my pet back too.
There are so many interesting ways they could add past expeditions to the games progression. For example a quest that unlocks a base room and or an NPC on the Anomaly.
Two weeks is short for an expedition. Hopefully, at the end of the two weeks, we get Worlds Part 2. An interesting note is the PS5 pro releases right when this expedition ends. And NMS is PS5 Pro Enhanced. There is still hope since Sean posted the GIB last week

Xaine I had the same exact problem with my large legacy save over 1000 hours crashing. I was so nervous about it but then on the new expedition patch I saw they fixed it so cheers to you and me!😊
Anyone else discover an issue starting a new save and then getting to the portal and it not having any glyphs, is it really expecting you to go and find all them again in order to continue? I decided to go in and just launch it from my main save and see if that translates my glyphs. Not there yet,
My patch has been downloaded on my Nintendo switch but when i go to the anomaly there are no expeditions available. I've re started, re loaded changed games and morning happens

There just aren't a lot of quality space games scratching that itch for people the way NMS does.
I just wish I could spawn into my base reliably without falling thru the floor, or be able to skip meaningless procedural dialog without click spamming, or base part anchor points without the need for glitch-building.
The "non-linear time" is a total lie. I thought it would mean the local time would start jumping or some weird events would occur, but what happens is that time starts going faster. At 0% exosuit an entire day takes less around 30 seconds. But that's still linear, time doesn't go backwards or jumps, it still goes forward, but faster.

Having played it already I can say that it's pretty smooth. Each phase takes place in a system that has everything you need for the objectives of that phase. So you just have to do the objectives in order and follow the story, you never need to jump to other systems or spend hours searching for some rare animal or material.

Truly sorry to be "that noob" but I'm that noob and I need a few quick answers... 1. I'm assuming this is for Xbox platform as well as all others. Right? 2. I've never done an expedition; is this found on the anomaly? 3. I'm working really hard to finish the Apollo/Null/etc. story line. (remember that?) Will this derail my progress on that storyline? I'm getting closer to getting the glyphs. And, finally, 4. If I don't have glyphs yet, does that mean I can't get around in this new expedition? (You are awesome for even one or two answers here. THX!)
1. Yes Xbox too 2. You can either start an expedition as a fresh save or as a sub-save on one of your existing saves, for the sub-save, use the terminal in the anomaly by the nexus to start it, you will be able to go back to your 'primary' save at any time via the pause menu, and then back to the expedition from primary via the terminal in the anomaly. 3. No this won't affect your primary save progress, the expedition sub-save is a kind of seperate instance, while youll keep the appearance you have your exosuit etc will be different, this does not affect your exosuit ships mt etc on your primary. 4. As it's a separate sub-save, whether you have glyphs already or not won't make a difference, you are rewarded all the glyphs in the expedition save/sub-save from a milestone, and you won't need them to complete it anyway.

Some of these in expedition 16 are a real PITA.
The truly tedious one imo is 8 corrupted quadrupeds.
It takes so long and the weapon you have is a bit meh

Hopefully this is a straght forward expedition, no nonsense collection runs. Its only for 2 weeks.
