this was exactly what i was looking forward i can use an iron, so no need for the easypress cricut, but i didnt want to buy the cutting machine either! this way i only need the iron paper, thank you!
I love the format of this video. The editing was great! Very informative since I could easily follow along and progress to the next step. Clear, precise instructions. Adorable design as well! Thx.
When applying the vinyl, the carrier sheet will be up. Some carrier sheets are shiny, however, some now have a frosted carrier sheet. When it doubt peel a tiny corner to see what side the carrier sheet is on. The carrier sheet will protect the iron/press from sticking to the vinyl.
i was hoping so badly that i wouldn't need a plotter cutting machine and im so relieved to find out that i don't!! i want to heat press some designs into my handmade tote bags so that i can sell them:) is it possible to print with an inkjet on htv? do you have any specific types of transfer paper that you recommend? thank you!
U are so little and tiny and cute... Lol .. the heat press is almost bigger than u... Lol. I'm only kidding boo .. thank u for sharing this cool hack!!! U are so patient and explain things VERY thoroughly!!! Thank u!!
The HTV's adhesive is heat activated, you will press on the carrier sheet with a heat source to heat up the adhesive so that it adheres to your project. You will see that the carrier sheet is removed after she has pressed it onto the shirt.
Hi Lily, Amy is using the Cricut EasyPress to apply it on. You can also use an iron. Please let us know if there is anything additional we can assist you with.
Hi Vanessa, yes, that is another great way to do it if you do not have a machine to cut it. Just print it out and then cut around it by hand. expressionsvinyl.com/printable-vinyls/htv-printable/

The video was edited after filming.
Expressions Vinyl thanks for answering
@@CluelessMamaD you are very welcome!
Can i use this heat transfer onto regular vinyl?
Does the shiny part of vinyl lay down touching the shirt? Or is it the non shiny side that faces the shirt?

Why was the Teflon sheet used the 2nd time?? Is it needed or no?
It was used to protect the first layer that was applied.
Thank you for making this video.
Helpful. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Can I get a picture printed from Walgreens &. Apply the htv on top would it work?
We have not tested this, but I do not think it would work.

Thanks you for this video
Did you peel off the back of the HTV first to make it sticky??
The HTV's adhesive is heat activated, you will press on the carrier sheet with a heat source to heat up the adhesive so that it adheres to your project. You will see that the carrier sheet is removed after she has pressed it onto the shirt.
Did you use the glitter heat transfer vinyl

Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!
do you have left handed scissors?
We do not have scissors in stock.
@@Expressionsvinyls no i just noticed you were left handed and thought you might use them
How can we tell if the vinyl can be heat transfered?
HTV does not have a paper backing. It only has a clear carrier sheet on top.
Thanks just what i wanted to know :)
Great video thank you. Now I’m good to go lol.
this is cool but how can you do this to make like a wood sign with words? Can you make a video for that?
You would cut the adhesive vinyl the same way that you cut the HTV, then apply it to the wood.
WOW SO THATS HOW YOU DO THAT. BEAUTIFUL💖💖👍CAN I USED WAX PAPER IF I DONT HAVE THE OTHER PAPER YOU MENTION---CAN'T SPELL THE WORD
You would actually want to use parchment paper or something similar to that. Wax paper will leave a residue when heated up.
Can i use iron instead?
Hi, yes, you can use an iron as well.
God bless you
Can u do the same thing with printable htv? Print it and then cut the image by scissor?
Hi Vanessa, yes, that is another great way to do it if you do not have a machine to cut it. Just print it out and then cut around it by hand.
expressionsvinyl.com/printable-vinyls/htv-printable/
can you do letters?
Yes, you can trace and cut out letters just the same way that we did the pineapple. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
Confusing video
