This is very helpful to me. Thank you, All About Videography. The A7iii surprised me doing as well as it did. Maybe I'll hold off upgrading for now and spend the money on a faster lens.
If I knew what I know now about the a7iv, I would not upgrade. My A7iv overheated after 45 min and was shot down.
u can see how well the a74 holds color detail in the trees. :D

How come yours is so clean? My a7iv from iso 800 can already see the noise. Did you use denoiser? What picture profile?

Afraid the relevant useful test would have been in S-Log3 (PP8), however. That's what we all use for serious work.
I neglected to mention that I had it in picture profile off.
@@AllAboutVideography There's a healthy debate as to whether log profiles should be off as an exception -- despite inconsistent color conversion compared to surrounding daytime log footage -- in extreme low light situations. Perhaps that's when the new Cinetone-S profile could be justified, in low light, as a compromise.
@@focuspulling As much as I know and with the bit of experience I have with S Log, it does not do that good in low light. Have you experienced it differently? Regardless, I'll try the Cinetone-S profile to see if it perform better. By the way, as is, did you see any difference in noise between the two?
