Yeah and also the consistency of his playing is just incredible. I've never heard a bad performance from him. Nailed the tough parts night after night. Real one off talent imo
Awesome! I love Limelight too. Geddy's bass playing and singing are incredible, Alex's guitar playing is so ethereal and beautiful, the synths add a perfect extra layer to the song, and of course Neil absolutely kills it. Well done on some of Rush's greatest work!
Thanks for watching! Alex's guitar playing is definitely one of my avenues to a very deep emotional place at times. That guy knows how to express himself in a really beautiful way on the guitar. Once in a lifetime kind of talent I think!
Wow, my dad also saw the Snakes & Arrows tour at Wembley Arena in 2007! He also saw them there for the first time on the Signals (playing at lightning speed) tour on 17th May 1983!
It was an awesome night. I'm very thankful for the rush rabbit hole it sent me down :) yeah don't expect any covers from signals tour versions of songs from me... I'm not getting clean playthroughs at that speed haha
incredible, please do more with the footpedals!!!!!!! I have always tried to explain that Geddy is the most multi talented musician, but unless they see the footpedals and the bass going ......
Haha thanks I wanted to set up 2 cameras and record both parts at the same time but I don't have enough space by my pc. I'll definitely do more synth and pedal stuff though. Thanks for the nice comment!
@@hemibass yea i just found your channel your tone and playing is awesome. I got started playing drums over 36 years ago, because of Neil, he even inspired me to travel to Africa. Here is my African song in his honor, if you want to check it out. Kilebu- Neil Peart th-cam.com/video/Rs8ZlEcOucg/w-d-xo.html
Got to be one of my ever tracks RUSH wrote , so many long pauses in the bass line , is it something to do with time or something and do you know from reading a sheet or memory to do those pauses , it looks complicated to untrained eye .
Mine too. Probably my number 1 rush song. I just know the songs from listening too them so much! Can't actually read music at all. I play them a lot and like listening to geddys parts from lots of different performances. Thanks for watching!
I have thought about doing tutorials but would probably want to charge for them if I do them in the kind of detail I plan to. I set up a Ko-Fi page where I was going to set up a little shop for posting this kind of content but there just hasn't been much activity on that page so far. I'll make a tutorial soon and post it on there so I can see how much interest there is in it
I've been studying Geddy's playing for 40 yrs. I have to admit you have a lot of the "Ghost notes" and "Inflections" of his playing. Good work!!
Thanks for the comment! He's my bass hero so it's nice to hear that
ghostly notes and inflections is what makes Mr Lee the best rock bass player ever...IMHO
@@Sanson101 TRUTH!
Astonishing.
I've still no idea how Geddy sang over the top of some of these songs.

The mastery, the attack, the tone and sound, yes you've got it all nailed down tight and I admire your talent sir 👍👏👏
Thanks :)
Great cover from a great album Nigel Clements
Thanks Nigel. Glad you liked it. The best album ever made in my humble opinion :)

Again great stuff man! You think Ged used the Fender on Limelight or the Ric?
Sounds like the fender to me. The isolated bass track is incredible to listen to. Thanks for watching!
Phenomenal!!!
