    Nio can do normal charging and swap, the other brands are behind , and theres still ppl bashing nio for stupid reasons.

    This is crazy fast. If you could just drive in like a car wash. And then drive out it would be just 3 minutes.

    The one thing I never hear talked about is safety for the consumer...Would you rather have your wife go to a swap station, not have to get out of her car and be on her way in 5 minutes or would you rather she stop by a charging station and sit in or stand outside her car for 20-40 minutes waiting for a charge?...Much safer for the driver and it cuts down on car jackings...

      That is a very good point indeed.

    The self parking could still be optimised. It still takes 1minute just to park.

      They’re gonna start building the 4.0, not sure if it’s going to be even faster.

      Yeah sure . Try 0 . It’s not needed when people charge at home . Goodluck to them wasting money on an idea that will go nowhere for passenger vehicles

      @@sheepyracing2774 It will work in big cities. It takes away the depreciation of the battery in time. They can also use the stations to balance the electric grid. Even if it only becomes the standard in China (they are pushing it to be this way) the company will have good success. Why so negative?

      On the ES6 with the 75 kWh battery, I'd say you can expect around 300 to 350km depending of your driving and weather conditions.@@1juan1234

    This is such waste of time . 98% of electric car drivers charge at home . This application will ONLY be useful for the trucking industry .

    • @TheFrenchCARnection
      @TheFrenchCARnection  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And that’s the problem, how to attract people that can’t charge at home. That’s an answer. It is very useful for a lot of people. I remind you that a lot of brands just announced a partnership with NIO. You’ll see more and more cars capable of doing battery swap.

    • @sheepyracing2774

      @@TheFrenchCARnection WRONG . Supercharging is all that is need for people without charging at home . Really have a think about what you’re saying . People that live without chargers at home CLEARLY must live VERY close to their work or there travel routines which in this case they will only need to charge once a week at most while they do their weekly shop at the same time! Nio is trying to be different but it will backfire on them badly ….

      @@TheFrenchCARnection must be a French thing . But in Australia we don’t want a battery swap station here . We also like to keep our cars in 1 piece and it will feel like you don’t own the car like your driving a rental it’s not what Australians will ever want

    • @ManiiZilla
      @ManiiZilla 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @sheepyracing2774 you do realize supercharging requires higher outputs of amperage which is more heat for the battery. HEAT will kill a batteries range over time. Supercharging is not really as good as you think it’s okay here and there. Battery swapping at this speed is impressive. In order for supercharging to get faster would require more and more amperage and this means more heat.

    • @sheepyracing2774
      @sheepyracing2774 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ManiiZilla there is absolutely no evidence that supercharging will kill the battery quicker. It’s a myth . Let me know once Nio has gone bankrupt . Shouldn’t be long now
